The story of monsters university is: screw collage, work your way up from the mail room.
Keulaid 😂😂😂😂
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid lost the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Beckett Roland instablaster :)
I love how they showed a clip of one of The Incredibles, as she was saying "it is an INCREDIBLY supportive environment" 5:31
When I was nine I visited Aardman studios (creators of Wallace and gromit and Shaun the sheep) and since then It has been my dream to be an animator, I have began to model my whole education towards it and hope to one day work at Pixar, I just love being creative!
Nicco Lund well I need to tell you make a digital portfolio (animate a character) using audio from live
Action movies look at other animations see what you like about it.
Blender is open source software to create outstanding animation!
You know there’s a difference between stop motion and animation right?
I mean I already respected Pixar because every Pixar film I’ve watched always has a beautiful story to tell and it felt like in a way Pixar movies helped mature me throughout my childhood years because of its content and story, it’s not the fairytales and roses that Disney is and that’s a good thing. This video made me love Pixar even more. I hope they never lose sight of their amazing work, and always strive to put every ounce of their passion into their movies.
Pixar has been one that always impresses me, and I hope to join them too for animation. Like if you want to do the same
Dream Job!
What does dream job even refer to? What is the job exactly exactly? Because there are tons of different jobs at Pixar.
Sam Adekunle exactly so Malik Hatsune what department would you like to take? Animation Lighting
Michael Kitambi either character animation or whoever sets up with all the physics and dynamics.. I'm torn.
3D animator, my dream job♡
Same!
Thanks!
Yep Pixar my dream job:-) Can't wait that day to be there already, I don't know about you people but Pixar is my important thing in my life
***** Haha Hope so too :-)
Alexstormist My dream job is at Pixar too!!!
My childhood was enlightened by Pixar and It would be a honour to serve them
Haha hope you get that job pal :-D
+Connor Bench thank you, I hope you will get that job too :) Dreams come true right? :)
Naaaahh who told you that, Well even so, Disney has a lot of money right know, and they always had it, so there is no reason they should worry about that, plus i aint want to be the head, but just a regular computer animator, character design
Good luck! Follow your dreams!
Thanks a lot The Verge! Watching how Pixar works is amazing.
on the verge inside Pixar Animation studios are fantastic animation of Disney
aww yeeaa another mini documentary
As an animation student myself I loved this :)
Thank You Verge :)
They understand creativity. There’s never a wrong answer. New is good
thank you thank you thank you!!!!!! This was GREAT!
You're doing a great job The Verge. I follow you every day from Italy.
Excellent article The Verge, I love Pixar films and was curious to see a report of these, congratulations :)
the music on all your videos are awesome!!
These features are what make the verge that different. Great work people :)
Great little video, I have always found Pixar films to be epic and as they said you can instantly tell a pixar film apart from the rest.
The Best Animation studios :) Every film is worth watching. The Verge is one of the best to feature Pixar's Animation Studios!
awesome feature, theverge!
The movie was awesome =)
Very cool insight into how Pixar works. I found the comment made by the one animator about how he was just a "wrist" while working in LA interesting. In the video games industry (in which I work), there's one camp which says we should move more into Hollywood-style production environments. It looks like Pixar is structured more like a video game developer/publisher and less like a Hollywood producer.
Working really hard to work at pixar one day. I feel so passionate about animation I love it! After my degree im on my way to try and work to the top!
So... How r things now?
@@dylanloo9856 Damn after two years I see🤣I finished my degree about 3 weeks ago so I'm waiting to graduate and then look for a job.
@@drefitnessofficial Noice, so u still as passionate about animation as before?
@@dylanloo9856 Even more passionate...I managed to get an average of 94% for all my subjects.
Love pixar!! Toy Story was just the movie i watched again and again and again when i was a child :D
Pixar is also my dream job
you need to know ... Pixar is not a job
this ^
Same!
Pixar is my dream employer*
Pixar might be my job in the future. I can create my own show if I have a chance.
Well done The Verge
This is a dream come true, I need to work for Pixar!
5:55- 6:58 *Chokes on Coke* DID I JUST HEAR 6
I hope to one day work at Pixar. I currently am into Animation. I got 1 more year of high school to go so who knows, maybe I'll pursue another path. I got many interests. Video editing/behind the scenes stuff, music, writing like stories and stuff, etc. All of those things I mentioned may be used in an animation. Music for like background stuff, storytelling, editing, all of it. I haven't edited a video but it's interesting to watch behind the scene videos about movies and I love to listen to music but I can't sing or play an instrument. I use to want to make games but I decided that that's not something I like. I think I wanted to because my older brother wants to do that but I don't like the idea of looking at code. Most of the game making, if I'm not mastaken, is mostly code. Animation may have some code but I haven't seen anything that needs it. I use Blender. It's the best software ever. Totally free and comes with probably most, if not all, of the features you can do in paid by subscription software.
did you make it?
@@vladdev4264 Oh god, I forgot I wrote this paragraph. I need to not do that. Lol. I have not made it through that path. I decided that I am more interested in the video production side like live videos. I do animation as a hobby but I want to peruse video production.
onthe v erge inside Pixar animation studios with monster sa is an incredible animation of Disney
Awsome!
Cool!
Now we wait for the third one
Cars 2 and Brave were getting kinda boring but Monsters University I think is the movie that finally brought Pixar back to what they are best known for
toy story is the most beautifull animation I have ever seen
Compare this to the Pixar feature that CNET did.... The Verge has always done and excellent job with its feature videos.. keep it up..!
I can’t help but imagine all these real people as Pixar characters hahah
Yes.
Working hard now to get there soon!!
on the verge inside Pixar animation studios with Monster University is a n incredible animation of disney
I watched monsters university in 2013 in cinemas in 3D.
So interesting! I'd really like to work at pixar one day
Who doesn't love toys like john laseder old and young
ALREADY COULDT WAIT ON THIS MOVIE!! so happy that i use permanent caps lock
I just realized how old this movie is.... wow. I was so young! I remember HATING IT when it first came out, along with the first monsters inc. but now I love it, I have a tendency to do that. (Is that normal?) but anyway, I haven’t watched it in forever. Pixar: DREEEEEEEEAM JOOOOOOOOOB!!
Dream job
thank you steve.
Great :)
Cool,I met the producers 2.Dan Scalon, and Kari Rae,I 4 got 2 ask, what ever happend 2 that scene when Mike Wasoski was being turned 2 a disco ball?I don't remember ceing it in the film.
"If there is a problem with the film, we'll all get together and fix it. We won't let go until it's fixed."
Their last three films proved otherwise.
what films
Sir Isaac what are you talking about ?
I think he means the good dinosaur, finding dory, and cars 3. finding dory and cars 3 were received as unnecessary sequels while the good dinosaur is the worst-selling pixar film to date.
Finding Dory is a good movie though and Good Dinosaur is alright but it's more of a tech demo
Luke Parsons I think the Good Dinosaur was a mistake because Dinosaurs are supposed to be scary predators, but they made them into squeaky toys.
Lets just assume this is everyones dream job
What camera do they use for the videos?
Arri aetheral superanimation camera 16k
my dream job is to work at Dreamworks animation studio it sounds so awesome and eventful
Thank you Alvy, Edwin, George Lucas and Steve Jobs for making all of this possible
You forgot John Lassater
I wanna be a part of this crew crew 😭
this was an alright movie
hi which lens you are using for your filminh?
what was the song in the short?
Can anybody tell me the name of the software used @4:50 on this linux machine?
Omg The logo CAN TALK
that's called "appreciation"...
toy story is an incredible animation of Disney
Thank you Steve Jobs for Pixar
which software is used here!
Interesting
Ironic that in the Steve jobs building from Pixar they don't use apple computers to make their job, they just use an apple screen connected to a HP CPU.
Cause you need bigger specs for making such a huge animation. Apple won't able to do it.
Salv Studio Apple CAN do it. But what's the point.
And it's funny because they aren't using Windows or Apple lol. Linux is perfect
@@T3KNUG3T5 Fun fact! They use redhat and opensuse
@@hellomello3711 I agree.
Anyone know what's software Mann use? (2:58)
Their software is called Marionette. Do you own a Pixar movie disk? They named it every in every DVD/BD
I went to see monsters university in 3d yesterday was a good film dont know which is better university or inc they're both good the blue umbrella short film was good aswell :)
Ben Ritchie I like both but university I loved
Pixar used to use a piece of software called Marionette, but they now use animation software they call "Presto"
I want to work at Blender-Foundation. Hell even Colin Levy ( credited in Inside Out ) left Pixar in favor of Blender Foundation
What's that a Software 3D Modeling
toy story monster are creative animations of disney
Buckle up pixar... Cause A great animator is on his way for you
Usha's Kitchen yep!
whats the song at0:15
God I wish that were me
why was this reuploaded? :/
the name should be "Marionette" is an internatl pixar software (is not commercial)
pixer is perfect
3:13
Hey I don’t remember this monster from the movies?
Squid: Works on sushi shop
Also sushi shop: Sells squid meat
*Ironic.*
I hope one of those 6 movies they're working on is Incredibles 2
Nono luckily it should be coming out so Huzzah
I have been there. Had okay lunch there years ago. It is not all as it seems. Gave them fun plot to Incredibles 2 which they butchered for this years story which was worse than what I helped out with as much as I could.
7:22 which software is that?
Same software seen at 4:52, which I believe is Marionette/Menv/Presto
Adrien Tougas Or Autodesk Maya
Brayan Gameplays It's not Maya. I use Maya all the time.
hum
I'm pretty sure its Menv, if you look in the top corner you'll see a stylized text 'MENV'.
good bring tron uprising
Pixar please make the sequel... I miss Boo :(
2:16, why was the designer holding a violin?
So many Pixar siquals and we never got WALI 2
Most of the studio uses Macs, but some departments prefer a Linux.
Jean-Luc Parent they use high end powerful PCs and Macs aren't made with the most amazing graphics cards and stuff like that, it was not made for businesses and casual stuff the software at Pixar absolutely DEPENDS on the good PC
Damn that face 3:13
all you need to do is animate a short piece and if they like it... they'll hire you... thats what it says on there Careers section on their webpage ; )
i felt you should of shown more...probably a day to day work day..... what you just done was introduction to Pixar
elaborate why..
Its strange.... I did not see one Asian person during this video
Asian would work for science and engineer companies
They only hire white people.
I know of 2 black people that work a Pixar
Because it's America not Asia?
12th
Did people just like this comment simply because this is the author of the video.
im a 7YEAR OLD KID that makes 3D @nimation B-) 😎
So monsters inc says mike and sully met in 4th grade. This movie says they met in college.
Daniel Roa I saw that too, and thought it was funny they didn't see that
That's not blender, they have their own software ;) !!!
It's called "Pixar Marionette"
