- The Apple band's early single - dated when released but a classic now. With some entertaining outtake footage tacked on here. Band went on to do Come And Get It, No Matter What, Day After Day, Baby Blue, Name Of The Game - Pete Ham
- Hudba
Tom evans has a voice of an angel.
im the only guy at my highschool who knows who badfinger is...
they should be alot more famous
Same. They are a spectacular band they deserve so much more recognition.
nice to see Pete smile...
I saw The Iveys on a tour when I was 13 coming 14. They were brilliant. If I remember correctly they were on a tour with the Bee Gees. They did this song and it went down a storm. I think it was Joey Molland that replaced the guy here on guitar and Mike Gibbons the drummer was with Badfinger all through their time together.Hope that Pete and Tom are entertaining in heaven. Such lovely young men. Such a tragedy to lose them the way we did. Music business should be ashamed.
Missin them until 2day... See ya, guys, in Heaven. Escobar, from Brazil..
I was 18yo when I first heard this song and I thought they were The Beatles. But I was not disappointed it wasn't the Beatles. They were a group with their own talents.......( and oohh so cute says my 18yo thoughts). I am now 66 and I still love this song. I am very saddened when I found out how the band ended.
So sad knowing how this all ended
Wow, wow, WOW! Thanks a million for this video! Seeing Badfinger, pre-Joey Molland, was a special treat. Seeing the infamous Ron Griffiths, whom I'd only read about, was absolutely wondeful! (nice to see Pete smile for a change!) What a great clip of a band that should undoubtedly be inducted into the hall of fame!!! What's wrong with the world that such a great band is unappreciated??? C'mon Cleveland - give these guys their due!!!! RIP in Pete, Joey and Mike.
Joan Jett gets in ahead of The Moody Blues.
How much credibility could the R&R HOF have?
So is Ron Griffiths. He's still living in Swansea, always happy to participate in keeping the memory of the Iveys alive. He's a superb gentleman, still has a great singing voice.
The very first moment I heard the first few notes...I knew. How much more sad could be to learn of their demise. But they left us with their precious memories and will live on...will not be forgotten. Thank you for all the beautiful rare video's!
It makes you wanna cry
Great song, great band : Badfinger.
I've always been a fan of cool suits and the bands who are cool enough to wear them. Nice hair ,too!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMMY EVANS! wow, 62 today....where has the time gone (who am I to say that.? I was sadly never on the earth at the same time as he)- if only you could've been here to celebrate. RIP. Love and miss you
P.S. what a wonderful video.
My God, They were so young... Tommy channeling the Righteous Brothers at about 2:02 and he does a damn fine job .Just pouring his heart out. RIP Tommy
For some reason the extra footage here gives me the shivers...
R.I.P Pete, Tom and Mike .Joey is still alive.
Truly Amazing.....
Brilliant...Such a great song.
awesome haunting song form the legends badfinger, so dark too. love this one though. maybe tomorrow i will get my dream too.
***** i know always loved badfinger darling.
Gorgeous
Thanks for posting this. I had no idea there was any pre-Badfinger video. What a treat. The LP is one of the great Apple rarities: released only in Japan and on the continent I think.
Great find !
this got me into collecting Apple 45s - I have them all now
Iveys-Badfinger-GREAT
Tom was a great singer and a song writer. SO amazing how the remaining members came together after Pete died.
they formed a entire generation of kids to be cool!
Awesome !!!! wonderful !!!! wow
this is just perfect :-) i love badfinger they were perfect
Thankyou for posting 5***** stars ... Great to see the outtake
underrated band
great song.
Love the "Mod" haircuts!!
Thank You!! for posting
How come badfinger aren't up there with the greats?
Thanks for sharing !
Great footage, thank you! They were a bit nervous doing this, but its great to see them clowning around. Ron Griffiths was a great talent, too.
Would love to hear and see more of the Ivey's stuff.
Ron is totally cool. I emailed him a few years back and he emailed me back. Great guy!
pete ham, Ron griffiths great talent. RIP.
Mike played the drums left handed.
Baby Badfinger..apathy from Apple and shark infested waters drowned the great pete ham and tommy evans. the others were good, to be sure, but what a mess. May stan polley and the other pirates rot in hell. And say, R&RHF- get your act together and give this fabulous band its due! RIP dear tommy and pete.
Infamous??? Ron ? he was a really nice guy..I first met them in 1969 as the Iveys..he was a great musician and it wasn't his idea to leave the band,,,
I've always wondered about Ron- he seemed an affable type. There was also another original member of the Iveys (I believe Tom replaced him), though his name escapes me!
released in Korea in 1993...
(I bought it)
THis band was plagued with misfortune and deaths.....such talent tho....
make some mix cds and sneak in some oldies - only show the names of the songs - ask if folks like certain songs or wanna hear more from a band that played any particular song, and want to know who it is ;) each song a diff artist.
@strawberrypicker123 me too. badfinger was one of the best bands ever, besides of course the beatles, who in fact started them up
cool suits. wonder what their called...
Great clip and such a beautiful song. It is such a pleasure to watch the band pre Badfinger and even more of a pleasure not to see that PARASITE Joey Molland!
great song.
