Good recept
I already assumed that they were not the same, thanks for confirming! you are right, saffron powder is indeed cheaper! thanks for the info!
love you laura!
I keep looking at your risotto recipes and I am going to try it later this weekend! I was wondering what white wine you used? I haven't really cooked with wine before (and I'm not really a wine person), so any recommendations with brand or quality would be great!
I love your vintage ending! Ė migliori...
I made this and it was absolutely perfect! I wouldn't have saw the recipe if I didn't go on your website so luckily!!! my mouth is still watery :')
hi laura! i just went to your website but the most recent recipe on there is from episode 349... please put up the more newer recipes too!

i live in Milan now that i study here...and i love risotto alla milanese
I always do mine with a portuguese "vinho verde"...It's delicious and I get to drink it after :D
Very good. (Note: the original recipe of Risotto alla Milanese, also includes ox marrow as an ingredient (to be added together with onions, etc.).
Yummy!
hey laura! this looks delicious! but i was wondering what i can do with the leftover stock. because i don't want to just throw it away with all the precious saffron in it! :) love youuu
Laura how should we set the fire when we're adding the chicken stock? Medium high or medium low or medium? Thank you.
thanks
So fiiiiineee!
in pakistan ...we use saffron to add in milk ..its makes it more yummy..like a sweet milk with almont pistachio saffron omggg...em craving some!!...love from pakistan laura!
making this and the calzone today ;)
do we have to use white wine? Please tell me Laura!!!
I'd watch Laura in any room of the house lol
will it b fine if i skip the wine or are there any good alternatives for this alcohol?
Laura, WOW, I REALLY LOVE YOU ! You have really taught me more about My Italian heritage through its WONDERFUL FOOD ! Your Husband is VERY Lucky, and Wife & her family, well they say I cook so good why go out to a restaurant ? THEY go NUTS AND DEVOUR EVERYTHING BEGGING FOR MORE, I live in Asia, They don't get real Italian food here, I am It ! Thanks Paisan ! And Di quello che il professor ! You are the BEST !
Nice
you can practically use any stock you like. stock defnines the different taste
You ate the risotto with a spoon Laura! 😱🫶😜
do we have to use white wine and what can i put instead of white wine?
I wouldn't say crunchy. Just compare aldente pasta to pasta that was boiled for half an hour. Notice how the aldente has more resistance to it. Rice tends to be cooked until it's almost mushy. Risotto's rice itself is actually on the firmer side yet the creaminess comes from the starch that comes out mixed with the excess liquids and butter.
Last! Anyway, I was trying to make risotto yesterday but I failed miserably since I was trying to 'wing it', ie not watching recipe. But this looks really good, Ill try making it sometime properly now ;p
yup she was born and raised in italy.
it's like rice pudding. but without milk. ;) and savoury.
what white wine do you cook with??
i made it without the saffron threads and tripled the cheese and it was the best thing ive ever tasted and im 11
yummm
Omg - i ate Risotto today - what a coincidence ;)
what can you substitute for white wine?
yummmm...
love watching your videos
it' s actually way cheaper and much easy to find, and i can assure you in italy pretty much everyone uses powdered stuff to make it
Hey! Do we wash the arborio rice before using it? And I added saffron to the stock but in the end it still didn't come out yellow. What did I do wrong?
Laura, can you show us how to do a simple but good parmesan risotto? :)
i love
Grazie mille . .
Ma cosa posso usare invece del vino ?
The broth wasn't that salty but yeah, I should keep tasting my stuff more to adjust seasoning. I believe the parmesan cheese over salted the risotto, to be totally honest I put like a lot in order to add more body and flavor.
Yumm!!!
what can i use instead of wine?
Can do you traditional pepper rings? I love them but I don't know how to make them
I hate rice, but I love the video of Laura)))
How far in advance can you make this Risotto. It is difficult to get it to the table right after cooking? How long can it sit on the stove top and can and or how can it be reheated if left over?
And this rice will work to make arancini or is it too runny?
and beef stock. and omit the white wine. :)
advice, next time try to pound the saffron with a teaspoon of sugar.. .when its powdered...it gives more flavor and more color... and you need less from it than in strand form =)
can you use saffron powder instead of saffron threads?
Sorry, but what is the nail polish you have on in this vid? ;) its sooo beautiful!
Low sodium chicken broth ? Never heard about it, but have to admit that I used to buy broth randomly, without checking most of the time. Thanks for the tip !
osso bucco??! whaaaaat. can't wait.
What if I don't like wine in my food? Is there anything I can replace wine with?
@thekillertoater O.M.G!
Can you replace the wine with anything else?
can i substitute white wine with something else?
of course you can...but if you' re not adding the butter at the end of the cooking process you kinda skip one really important part in every risotto, i actually dont know the translation of the term in english but when you add butter and parmesan cheese at the end it kinda creams a little more and gives you a better creamy texture and helps you with balancing the flavours
Laura, I LOVE your eye color! Natural or contacts?
oh okay thanks :]
I'm italian but it's true portuguese wines are wonderful at the super top level.
Is that really only a cup of rice on the risotto? That looks like more.
an i use veggie stock instead of chicken stock?
true
Can you leave out the butter?
i normally use the safran in the end because then it wont loose its taste and the colour will be much nicer and if i dont use all of the stock the safran would be wasted.
she has done that, if I recall...
Are you Mario Battali wife ? Also, did you use arborio rice for the arancini ? Grazie, renato
