Hi , Maybe next time do not use same spoon you put in your mouth and same spoon in pan , it is a lack of hygiene :) especially for a chef in the kitchen.

We loved it! Chicken was tender and rice was flavorful. Have just discovered Slap 'yo mama and love it. The dish used one pan and was done in half an hour. At 84 years old that is a bonus. Thank you Laura!

This resembles a lemon chicken dish I came up with myself. I don’t use any cream. The liquid I add is homemade chicken stock, and I add the zest and juice of half a lemon. I always add green vegetables a few minutes before serving, my favourite being broccoli. It’s delicious.
Laura I hope you read this !!! My toddler was refusing to eat, anything that wasn’t Mac and cheese . Made this and he had 3 plates !!!! YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER !!!!! The best thank you!!! Saved me time and gave me so much peace of mind all in one meal! Thank you !
OMG!!!! This is what brought me to this video! My baby is suck a pickey eater and I have a hard time getting him to eat anything other than Mac and cheese as well! I hope he enjoys this meal as much as your baby did.
I made this dish for the first time just yesterday and after two bites my husband exclaimed "It's a keeper!" It is now in the dinner rotation. Thank you for a quick, easy, tasty meal that my husband loves and that makes me look like a chef.
This tastes like chicken alfredo with rice looks beautiful, and it is the best meal I've eaten this year! I'm not a good cook, but this is doable for inexperienced cooks. Definitely an 11 out of 10❤!

I made this tonight in my regular 6 qt Dutch oven. So don't worry if you don't have the shallow cast iron, it's divine! As soon as I added the butter, I added diced baby bella mushrooms to cook a bit before I added the onions and garlic. Then I added a splash of white wine to deglaze the pot before I added the rice. I will make this over and over! I drizzled a little white truffle oil over the serving before eating. So good!!

I just made this for dinner and added frozen peas the last 3 minutes of cook time. My son and I both thought it was delicious. We sprinkled a little extra parm once plated but chicken was tender and flavorful and rice gave off a risotto vibe. Simple and delicious

Made this because I thought my picky eater would like it. Overwhelmingly positive reviews all around. Very impressed. This is one I will keep in rotation. I did caramelize the onions a little. But either way would have been fantastic. We're a little sensitive to dairy so I used lactose free whole milk and it turned out amazing. No stomach issues even with the cheese.

Made this and it truly IS DELICIOUS! Only thing I did was deglaze the pan with about half a cup of white wine before I toasted the rice 😉..

Made this tonight and it turned out delicious. Used chicken legs and whole milk because that’s what I had on hand and it came out great. It was so easy to make too! My picky almost two year old also liked it which was amazing. Thank you for the recipe!

I just made this dish. It's sooooo delicious! Definitely will make again. I added 4 medium mushrooms cut in quarters, and i used Arborio rice instead of long grain rice.

Hey Laura! This is really good as you said; but it takes it up a notch with some broccoli florets or crinkled/sliced carrots. Made in a 13x9 casserole dish too! I am making my mouth water now!

Just tried this recipe on the fly - I forgot I dumped out my old seasonings and haven’t purchase any replacements -short story long- I used jarred pesto instead of Italian seasonings. Turned out pretty great anyway. I’ll be trying more recipes soon! Thank you!

I made this last night. It was really good and easy to make. Thank you for sharing the recipe. The only thing I would change next time is to make six thighs instead of four. I think the amount of rice is more appropriate for six servings rather than four.
So many variations , I like many good cooks , use what I think works and give that my own twist , been doing that since cooking on Tugboats (and doing everything else on the boat) since the 70ts .Things like this are easy and tasty and I might add cheap ...
