  • Hello CZcams and welcome back to Galgorm Hall. It’s been three months since my last video but I’ve still been busy modelling. Primary focus has been construction of this shed for David over at @Cottesmore and this first of two videos shows the initial methods used.

    That I beam structure was a work of art, so much so that its almost a pity you won't be able to see it from the outside! I notice there don't appear to be side windows either, so will he be installing internal cameras or something? I will watch this development with interest. It is giving me all kinds of ideas!

    Totally Amazing as always..... just asking shouldn't there be at least one door at the other end. Most carriage sheds I have see have room for at least a switch out the back. Space I know is hard, there are also travellators used in tight spaces to move carriages across the back.front doors.

    • @GalgormHall
      @GalgormHall  Před 3 lety

    Fantastic build,looks great! However I'll never understand why people get other people to build things for them, for their model railway (hobby). Surely the whole point of a hobby is to start nowhere,as such, and progress and learn from making mistakes. Maybe I'm wrong. 👍

    • @GalgormHall
      @GalgormHall  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you for the kind comments. As to getting someone else to build I reckon we all have our skills we are comfortable with and some that scare the pants off us. I for example wouldn’t dream of weathering a loco, at least not yet, but will happily let someone else do one for me. Paul

    • @Mickeystretton
      @Mickeystretton Před 3 lety

      I can understand that because it's fairly difficult to practice on a loco that's worth £100's. However to get a sheet of card and to practice scratch building can be as cheap as you make it. I can see you point though 👌

    • @GalgormHall
      @GalgormHall  Před 3 lety

      It can be cheap and if starting off you can make it as cheap as you like. The materials used in this build however had an eye watering price tag to them, not to mention the time involved. Paul

    awesome video scatch build a building have done a house for a school project take 3 years for that to be completed 1 inch = foot on that on finished the last of the project at home
    the last one was for the layout of i was looking for a special structure frame yea spend a lot of time cutting them our yea and assembling each one too did turn out great did take a lot of time to build it working at that time in remote area yea did was not a drinker or smoke drugs we had an about of us had our own trailers to stay in had built the last one trailer was awesome 53" van tailer had, pull out as well was awesome did sell the truck and the trailer together had a gut feeling about that job did tell the guys i was working with to do the same sell and walk away from it they money was very good that want was the problem the did not lesson to me 18 months later they lost it all
    funny a few years go that happen had and other service truck i sold to a company I had and their one build we were dropping of farm equipment at auction both of the trucks were their bank owns them and wanted to sell them well did make an offer on both of them they laugh at mine, day of the sell they did not sell bank wants more money yea did forget about them the bank did take the offer i told them i was not interested in them anymore did give them the lost bid they had at the last auctions they had a list of tools to for each truck some tools were not there lol they had to buy them for me
