Dyson Cyclone V10 Makes a Strange Revving Noise.

- If your Dyson V10 vacuum cleaner is making a loud vibrating or revving noise. First thing to try is empty your bin and make sure there are no blockages, if that doesn't solve it then remove the brush bar and then try switching your Dyson back on again. When your Dyson V10 is still making this revving noise, then the problem might be another part of the vacuum cleaner. See how I find and solve this problem.

Thanks for your videos, I have the V10 Absolute+ and wash my filter monthly as per one of your previous videos on washing the V10 filter.
However I was getting this same cutout issue with the filter light flashing same as in your video.
After watching this video I've just bought a new filter online as all of our vacuum stores here are closed due to COVID. I'm sure it will work properly again as yours did 🤞

Hi I think when I tried to replace the filter a little bit of water got in the filter section now the Dyson will not start it did for a second just as you said in the video were you ever able to help that guy out with the motor issue? I may have the same issue when I plug it in it's fully charged the battery light is blue flashing but there is no noise when I turn it on. Any suggestions?
I got some water in the motor and I know I shorted it out . What can I do to fix it ?.
Can it be fixed .

Dyson used to advertise No Clogging No Loss Of Suction in the UK. They are very naughty. My V8 filter clogs quickly and I can hear the difference by the 2nd week. Was filters throughly and it’s great again for a week and then it sounds different again and wash again and hey presto.

I cleaned the filter and let it dry out completely. But this funny noise is still there. The tip doesn’t rotate either. It’s a V10. If you can suggest whether there is anything else I can do, that will be great! Many thanks 🙏
I am going to try buying a new filter. I cleaned my filter, let it dry for 72+hours put it back on, vacuumeda few days later for about 5-10 minutes under couch cushions and the vacuum worked but got very hot and filter sign is still flashing. Maybe a new one will work? Thanks for sharing!

hello, what is that weird rattling noise when the motor stops ? my v15 does the same after like 3 months of use, when it was new that sound was still there but without the rattling part, is it ok ?

Hello Ali. When you get the “3 burst” noise after installing a brand new bone dry filter, it could be that there is a blockage in the main unit or cleaner head. Please see my video about removing blockages from a Dyson V10/V11:

@@Woopnik thank you Woopnik, actually, after my post I recalled from this video you saying "the blockage light" so that go me thinking. I took the unit totally apart and low and behold a massive blockage in the main unit. That was the problem no doubt. Cleaned it out good and now it works fine n dandy! Thanks again for this! 🙂👍🏽
