I think they were in Secret Avengers with Moon Knight, War Machine, and Beast.
Fun Fact: Co-director of the film John Russo is a fan of Screen Junkies and was aiming to make the movie "Honest Trailer-proof".
Well shit.
Well it worked
Awesome fact if it is a fact! Really awesome!

LOL! Splinter Cell...but I forget which edition...not Splinter Cell Essentials though...
Since we're nitpicking, I find it strange that Hydra's logo is an octopus and not a hydra.
Dion7 You can blame that on Marvel comics as opposed to the film production group. They've been using that logo for many, many years. When making the movie, they kept it because of familiarity to the comic fans.
It's a really, really old logo from the comics, but Gideon Malick actually justified the octopus in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (The _maybe_ two people besides me who still watch that show might remember.)
"The octopus," Malick says, "is one of the great symbols of Hydra; they are intelligent, adaptable, and _ruthless killers."_
"Well, it's a terrifying symbol... not my idea of dinner. But, I am adaptable..."
- Grant Ward
Then there's the being, Hive, that Hydra was founded for (ages ago, not 60 years ago), whose head looks like the logo. He really should have had more screen time, but whatever :/
@@Xaptor43
YES.
Finally, someone with good taste in television!
Yeah, Alveus was criminally underutilized.
(The guy was my favorite villain, and most every villain I've written since draws inspiration from him in some way.)
(So I guess in that regard, I'm like Hydra.)
In addition to Alveus, Hydra's name seems based on their motto, "Cut off one head, Two more shall replace it."
Not a loophole because Tony has hacked into the SHIELD archive that was ran by Fury. Hydra had a completely separate archive stored inside of Zola's computer, which was later extracted by Cap and Widow at the ship.Fury tried to access it,but he wasn't premitted. They used the info from Zola's memory device and reveal the info to the public
Was that ever confirmed.
@@fightingmedialounge519 its rather obvious dude
along similiar, but less tenuous lines. hydra sleeper agents in shield didn't steal the tesseract because shield was already doing the r&d for them. let shield figure out how to use it, then take it. redskull's obsession isn't necessarily a "throw away your life for the cause" situation, unless it can be harnessed.

I think what made this honest trailer so funny was that you were actually complimentary for once.
they complimented dark knight
Nombuso Tiny Nzuza but not as much, they also complemented guardians
Surprised noone mentioned Breaking Bad. That's basically a commercial for the series. I can't help but thinking where the nitpicking went then... The Last of Us was also very highly recommended. Despite the fact that I really love the latter, and sorta like the former, they both had some more nitpicking to be done.
Still, I do think you could be a little ''nicer'' to certain titles, and acknowledge what many people think. For example bashing the later movies in the Disney Renaissance and later movies like Tangled (who actually have a higher imdb rating than Frozen you said was so much better), and also bashing Lawrence's acting in Hunger Games which received almost universal critical acclaim.
JadeToniRitsa L this one is complimentary because it is supposed to be a nod to the director. Joe Russo, one of two brothers who made this film mentioned in some interviews that he loves Honest Trailers and when he was making this film he would go through the script and alter certain things in order to make this movie, in his own words, "Honest Trailer-proof". If somebody makes a Hollywood blockbuster keeping your criticizms in mind and changes it in order to please you of course you'll make the video about this film positive :)
JadeToniRitsa L They actually said all good things about Breaking Bad. Not a single complain.

Another nitpick: Why did Steve go to Sam's place instead of someone he trusts like Tony? Cause he literally just met him
Sam's was closer. Tony lives in New York.
Gisechan Still. He just met him. He could've just taken a car and drive to NY. It's not that far since he was in DC
I guess he couldn't rely on Tony- remember in Iron Man 3, Tony destroyed all the suits for Pepper and wasn't really an Avenger anymore. Steve didn't know where Bruce or Clint were, Thor was off planet, Coulson was "dead". I'd say he had limited options.

I really love this movie but something that has always bothered me about it is how when they stay over at Sam's house, Natasha has perfectly straightened hair the next morning. Does Sam have a hair straightener at his house? 🤔
Omg THANK YOU! My exact words when I watched it the first time 😂
Well, almost a decade later we learn he has a sister, so maybe he keeps it around for her 😂
Maybe Sam is enough of a player that various women have left grooming products in his house. Or maybe Natasha keeps hers handy because she never knows when she'll need to change her look. You know, because she's a spy.
maybe she got a straightening perm?

Thank You. I never knew I had a fan before the experiment. Means a lot.
+Captain Rogers i became your fan since you stood your ground agaist that bully at the cinema theatre ...p.s. thanks for kicking stark's ass in civil war ...
Yea totally. Also, I have to agree with the Honest Trailer guys, the Cap outfit in the Winter Soldier has been so far the best. Why didn't they just stick with it? And okay Cap stole that original one for nostalgia reasons I guess or so that Bucky will better recognise him which is smart, but - The new suit is also kind of a body armor when you look at it closely, it's more practical, it's... It's just cooler okay? Why can't they have him wear that all the time.
Also, I'd love to see some sort of a... War suit, a full body armor for Cap with kevlar platings, utility pockets and belts, a thicker, bulkier build and stuff. For when he has to go into battle against aliens and flying giant robotpenises again. Thoughts?
Keemo Smith I became a fan after picking up his Marvel Knights comic and seeing him throw his shield and it just crush some one. Cassidy is one hell of a artist.
Keemo Smith
The dude in my profile picture also did it
A good movie, but my question after it was: Where were the rest of the Avengers when this happened? On vacation? Or am I missing something?
My reasoning is that Thor was dealing with the Dark Elves, Iron Man with dealing with the Mandarin and Hawkeye...was filming that Hansel and Gretel movie.
muryoken muryo Ha! +1 for Hawkeye comment.
Brew City Sure, but even though the whole thing was kind of secret until it all escalated, wouldn't someone like let's say Spiderman (or someone else that probably should be in New York at the time) react almost immediately?
Or maybe they though something like: "Evil neo-nazis are trying to take over the world? Should I try to help? Nah, fuck that. That's Captain Americas problem."
***** You understand! Finally someone understands!
The Avengers were waiting for Congress to pass a bill.
Also Red Skull turns out to be still alived (well sorta alive)
0:24 "The Captain is back. And he didn't skip leg day."
Am i the only one that thinks bucky would be an awsome addition to the new avengers?(as seen in avengers age of ultron).
In the comics he does become a avenger he even takes up the mantle of Captain America for a time. Very possible he will join the team after the Civil war movie.
Salvador Cardenas Well if they do end up following the comic's Civil War story line, Bucky will be in the Avengers...
***This is a spoiler, for those for can put two and two together and doesn't know the comic's story line*** Chris does really badly want to focus on trying his hand in being a Director after all.
Nope
Salvador Cardenas The actor is signed up for like 6 more movies. Safe bet is he will become an avenger.
Also safe bet that Bucky will be in Avengers 3 and 4!!!!
Captain America definitely became my favorite avenger after this movie. In fact, Winter Soldier and GOTG are probably my favorite Super hero movies generally speaking right now
It was really awesome movie . In my opinion , best super hero movie since The Dark Knight .
Umair Khan I actually went back and watched the dark knight and the only real redeeming factor of the movie was the joker and everything he did. Two faces reasoning for becoming evil was stupid and completely out of character. Batman threw away the sonar tech that could've been used in the dark knight rises to find bane and stop him but batman is so dumb he forgot he could just use the thing in extreme situations like the same way batman uses tank rounds and explosive to cause thousands of dollars in property damage.
Shawn Zamir
I respect your opinion my friend . But I loved the entire 'The Dark Knight' trilogy (Intersteller is my most anticipated movie of this year) . However , The Winter Soldier was one the best movies I've watched in recent years .
I actually try not to compare the Dark Knight trilogy to the other super hero movies because, IMO, the trilogy isn't in the same genre. They keep things on a realistic level with very serious tones. Jokes are barley found. Most hero movies don't do that. Marvel studios knows that the scenarios seen on film are pretty far fetched so they add more of a light hearted tone with good comedy bits. The Dark Knight Trilogy isn't in the same genre
"Captain America: He's cool now" ....get it....because he was frozen, eh , eeeeeehhhhhh

I love Ironman IM2 and IM3. But this movie was one of the best solo movies. The rewatch value is high and you never dislike the settings. Just a great movie.
Apparently the director had Honest Trailers in mind when creating the movie. His goal was to make it "Honest Trailer Proof". Looks like he succeeded.
In defense of the nits picked:
• The Hydra in SHIELD plot was developed in Agents of SHIELD. So yeah, not really in the films, but still in-universe.
• Winter Soldier was using specialized sniper rounds. Fury's vest only stopped small arms fire in _Avengers_.
• Tony _did_ find out about Hydra; we just didn't know it. I'm pretty sure Phase 2 (using the Tesseract to power a giant space missile) was a Hydra plan.
• Good HR software?
• Zola explained that Red Skull's outright conquering was ineffective, and that people would fight less if you made them think they wanted to be ruled.
• Pierce thought he could still turn Fury, or at least, as he was, use him in place. After all, Pierce knew Fury's take-no-prisoners mentality aligned with Hydra's goals for the most part.

But for the record, I LOVE The First Avenger. It's a great origin story, a cool period piece, and Steve's characterization was all right there. I think it's a bit underrated.
+Ben Culture I agree. I don't know if this makes me weird, but my favorite parts of that movie are BEFORE Steve gets his powers, and I really like it.
I think it's because of the character's sheer likeability. What's not to like? He's a genuinely good guy. There's this idea that a good guy "isn't relatable", and every superhero has to be fucked up like Tony Stark or Batman, but Steve Rogers is a non-ironic good guy, and what's wrong with that?

They only do the movies that have come out on DVD. Guardians came out just over 2 weeks back, we have around 2-3 months before we get a trailer for it.

Same here. His 1st movie is in my Top 5 MCU movies, and Winter Soldier is my favourite, whose throne will be soon taken over by Civil War.
Same here, my thoughts exactly.
My fave MCU movie will always be Avengers because Civil War had sooo many plots they needed at least four hours to develop all
if Hydra didn't let the Avengers Assemble, then the Chitauri would have ruined the very world Hydra is trying to rule.
That's debatable. If Hydra used the tesseract to take over the world sooner, Loki might not have been able to manipulate them into summoning the Chitauri.
polaris69234 But remember what Zola said? They tried to take over by force during World War 2, and it failed due to people rising up. They were trying new things.

He probably didn't watch the prequels
The bit about Fury's bulletproof vest might be explained: in Avengers, he was shot with a small pistol. In Cap 2, it looked like he was getting hit with something much larger. I don't know a lot about guns, but I figure a smaller caliber bullet could be stopped by the vest, but a larger one would go through it.
That is true, in this movie he was hit with a sniper rifle from a fairly close distance. I would assume that the rifle would be much more powerful than a pistol.
A vest just spreads the force of the bullet to a larger area while beeing a pretty solid material so the bullet doesn'T get through (still hurts and may break some bones). However bigger guns have to much force so the vest doesn't hold and there are also special bullet with thin tips which can penetrate a vest as well.
The protection a vest of such type highly depends on what it was composed of, for instance Kevlar is only good for smaller caliber rounds, if there were say ceramic plates in the vest then he could just get back up and walk away.
Zapy97 (games) ...Ceramic plates? Wouldn't that shatter on impact?
sorry when I say ceramic plates I mean like super ceramics made in a lab, that has a hardness comparable to diamonds. it is some really neat stuff, the US military use it in their protective body armors. it is not natural at all but it is super durable.
It was all prepared in the Avengers. The reason they didn't take over the world was that only Armin Zolla was brilliant enough to make such powerful weapons out of the tesseract, but he's now an abandoned computer. The reason Stark didn't find out about Hydra, was, as Stark stated "we're about to find out every dirty secret Nick Fury is hiding from us". He hacked the database of the giant flying base only. The reason Hydra didn't kill Fury before he assembled the Avengers, is that they planned to turn the Avengers into their own weapon. And they tried to do so in Captain America Civil War. "The government is run by agendas, and agendas change" was said by Captain America himself. The people controlling those agendas were Hydra, but he couldn't say it out loud because it's a secret and he didn't have any proof to convince Tony Stark. And besides, when Captain was awoken from the ice, it's very possible that they took a bit of his blood to try recreating the super-soldier formula out of it.
Oh, my gosh. I didn't think about the Avengers thing. Hydra trying to use the Accords to their advantage makes perfect sense.
I wouldn't say all of the people controlling the United Nations panel's agendas were Hydra, but Gideon Malick, who certainly was, would likely have had a lot of pull. And that's just the people we know about.
Honest trailers: And he was the og Hydra
Me, having seen AOS: Well, actually...
Say: "You don't understand, Edgar is the one in the hole."
I'm just gonna keep asking until you say it.
is that from rooster teeth
richard strawder Yes, specifically Achievement Hunter. More specifically Mad King Ryan.
I love you for posting this :D
Who else actually liked the First Avenger?
I did. I thought it was a nice retro movie with good ideas. Yeah, it was just a set up to the Avengers but it's not as bad as some make it out to be.
I liked it
It was a great way to introduce a new hero it wasn't the best movie but I liked where the movie was going
like it, its one of the rare example how to do a superhero movie oldschool style, so straightfoward, without emo dark gritty things kids loved today
It's directed by the same guy who did "The Rocketeer", another WW2-set pulpy scifi action adventure film, so it all felt inspired and fitting.
I gotta say honest trailers, this was one of your best
I loved his first movie, he was my favourite Avenger. So I guess they didn't really do their research
This is the first time I have seen Honest Trailer actually praising a movie!
They did that to The Avengers too.
And the dark knight
He kinda praised Pacific Rim too. It IS the most awesome dumb movie ever made. =P
which is weird because they really tore into Forrest Gump
And the dark knight
completely lost it at " hail hard drive"
I'm confused as to what it's referencing to, I think it's from the hail mission in gears of war two am I right?
GASprintersaur axe 'Hail Hydra' is something Hydra says a lot (in this movie, and Agents of Shield). The hard drive part comes from Zola essentially being a hard drive in the movie.
Same
"And super jumping out of stuff." This made me roll on the floor laughing. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I really admire that u praise good movies nd this is definitely AWESOME
