God I'm glad you guys pointed out the quips. They *really* overstayed their welcome to me. It's like they're obligated to do a one-liner or drop a witty remark every time after doing something cool. Got old pretty fast and even killed the mood at several points of the movie. The awkward Widow X Hulk pairing was just the tip of the iceberg of mood-killers

Civil War, Ragnarok, Infinity War (And to an extent, Black Panther) arguably made Age of Ultron a better movie. I mean, those meaningless foreshadowings were actually justified after the events of those movies, especially Tony's "seeing my friends' death" arc, Cap-Iron Man's relationship breakdown, and Thor's Ragnarok event.
Also it reveals the title of Avengers Endgame :p
I'm sure you'd be the greatest fan of Lex Luther's file which led Batman to assemble Justice League and foreshadowed all DCEU movies

This movie has some of my favorite Avengers moments in it. The party scenes, chilling at Clint's house, "the elevator's not worthy". It's very flawed, but it has some great character moments

@Gus Sims It's not that his motives were unclear, it's that they were stupid. That was the problem with this movie.
Honestly, I think this is the best Avengers movie so far, in that it's the one that shows them to be the family we all want to see. Avengers 1, they're all still coming together, trying to figure out how to work with one another. Infinity War, they're fractured and scattered across the breadth of the universe. But in Ultron, we get to see how much they care for each other. They're a real team, from beginning to end.

I honestly don't get why people don't like this movie. It's pretty much the same as the first one except with more character development and more action sequences. What did people expect?

Employee 427 Oh, don't get me started on no plot. The first one had no plot. It was "Loki wants to conquer the world, good guys have to stop him." Second one "Ultron wants to DESTROY the world, good guys have to stop him." I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I'm saying Age of Ultron is very much Avengers 1 with an overall darker tone and more character development.

Well I didn't like it. I actually liked the first one better. This one had too much Stupid forced jokes and bromance. On top of that a horridly drawn out plot they could have kept much simpler and straightforward.
I love this movie! James Spader (Ultron) captured every scene he was in, the character relations and charisma were great, and the film was confident enough to tell its own story without relying on the others much. Probably my favorite of the MCU.
James Spader’s Ultron was the worst. Ultron’s supposed to sound emotionless, robotic and inhuman. Not talk too much like a damn human. What makes Ultron scary in the comics is his complete lack of humanity. And they didn’t go far enough with Ultron. Too much kid gloves in this movie.
Was it the weakest Avengers movie? Yes.
Was it a good movie? Also yes.

He was Ultron's Vision of his new body, he was the vision that Thor saw and he was also Tony's vision of the future. That is describing him as a vision not calling him Vision.

Dude. That "roughly one week of Ultron" line made me smile for the first time in a very long time. Thank you for that.
One of the reasons the first movie was such a hit is because it was the first time we saw them together, it was a culmination of all the movies that had been leading up to that moment, and make us remember our chilhood. Going to the second movie, that factor was lost, they didn't have that luxury on their side, and sadly they played on the same bits and thropes hoping for the same result. I think is a good and fun movie anyway (for Marvel standars).
+The Wilfred I agree. You hear alot of the main complaint being "I didn't feel the magic this time" but honestly alot of same beats it took from the first movie was alot better executed in this one. Only minus is that you felt that AoU was cut down 3h movie.
Honestly this was better than the first one in my opinion. The first one had the added benefit of being the first time u see them all together, but other than that it was pretty weak. I really don't understand why that movie is treated like a cinematic masterpiece or why Loki is treated like the only good Marvel villain(he's not that great, he just seems good because the others are so generic)when Ultron is better

+The Wilfred I agree but I still feel that it was a better movie in just about every way. Hell, Ultron was actually a good villain but since he was a one-off, he's far less impactful than Loki was. Honestly, I might actually have preferred to see him in the end than Thanos because I can't see any way to make sense of Thanos, with all the infinity stones, losing to THESE Avengers. A quality Ultron buildup would make sense though.
Yeah i actually liked this one more, the only reason it was a "let down" was because people expected to be blown away like the first time

Quicksilver: Quicksilver was put into production for Age of Ultron several weeks before Days of Future past, Fox scrapped the Juggernaut and put Quicksilver in last minuet so everyone would act as their tools and think Avengers ripped them off. Which is why he basically wasn't in the rest of the movie. To summarize: X-men ripped off Avengers by including Quicksilver in their film so that people would think it was the other way around and they could use these fans as tools.

Scarlet Witch: Telepathy and Telekinesis. Kinda the quintessential mind powers everyone knows. She's basically crazy Russian Jean Grey. Well, considering X-men 3, Russian Jean Grey that is a bit less powerful.
Vision: Jarvis + 3D organic Printer + Mind Stone = Energy control (Flight, Laser beams) and limited form control (Cape creation, Density shifting).
but you cant say that the quicksilver scene in xdofp wasnt cool, a bit too long, but still, pretty awsome

+Red Hood Fox's Quicksilver was nothing like the Quicksilver from the comics. He was way OP. AoU Quicksilver was a lot more faithful to the source material which is why I believe that this incarnation was a lot better.
+Red Hood No. Don't gotta admit. Their Quicksilver wasn't a character. He was a scene. If you completely ignore that the scene is nothing more than a giant middle finger to Disney, it's still distracting form the rest of the film. They think making him more powerful will make him more enjoyable (which worked on a lot of fans) but he becomes so powerful and flawless you gotta question why he wasn't included at all int the rest of the film. He could have stopped the rest of the film if he was brought along. (See how it Should have ended for more details.)

DOFP-Quicksilver had cooler action scene, but AoU-Quicksilver had more personality and was definitely better character.
+TheWolverine1987 I agree. Quicksilver's action scene was practically the only thing I liked about DOFP, but they underused him there and he was definitely a better character in AOU. Aaron Johnson did a much better job in this than in Godzilla.

Just watched this cuz I wanna catch up with the MCU contents, and it's obviously not a great one. It pales in comparison to the first Avengers movie and Captain America The Winter Soldier even.
The pacing and what's at stake in this one are just not good and underwhelming compared to the earlier movies.
5 years later I find it very rewatchable... it did build out a lot of world that has been tackled later.
When all the episodes of Wandavision are out, can you do an honest trailer for that?

I love Age of Ultron, but I’m not gonna lie there are some flaws. But I really enjoyed it
Same. My only 2 flaws was the forced relationship between Bruce and Natasha. The other one was that Ultrons arsenal was so small. He usually has all kinds of weapons and force fields attached to him. Instead he had finger beams & a mini tractor beam. That's it. Other than that i loved it. His dialogue and look made up for it.

The only problem this movie had was that it has way too many characters, and that roster seems only fit to grow. This would be fine if many of the characters weren't expected to get screen time, but when you have to elaborate on the backstory of every character while also trying to direct an action movie you tend to run into problems. The movie could have used a bit more action and plot development of Ultron rather than the characters, in my opinion.

But they only have Hulk's rights, not all of The Hulk's characters so they worked with what they had. Its not a really bad love story, its just that people are so into comics and "original" plots that want everything exactly like that and well...that cant and will never be.

Ultron was created by the Avengers to right their wrongs. His entire point, his entire existence was the perfect them and hold peace on Earth. Looking back at humanity's history, he knew that we were too screwed up and far too gone to save. He was then angry because he could never achieve his intended objective, which is why he created a loophole (Peace on Earth by eliminating the human race). He was created to be a watchful protector, thus he reflects this.
Vision however, was part Jarvis, he's made to serve, and he has no idea what's going on, he's pure because nobody's manipulated him. So he's an ally to his creator (Stark and the rest) and he has a concept of free will, which is why he chooses his path, the path of life (He has the mind stone)
