My aunt and I watched this, and we eventually just started creating our own narrative. Our version of the movie ended with Blue calling on his Pterodactyl sidekick to come pick him up so they could fly away to fight crime together, while the T-Rex left the island to become an accountant at a law firm.

No, the islands featured in the movies are Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna which are both fictional islands BASED on Isla del Coco, (Coco's Island).

I just watched this movie for the first time, didn't seem to have the time until now. Amazing how after failing with the parks three times before, they double down on the idea and create even deadlier, smarter and tougher species and assume this time nothing will go wrong.

Fun fact. That's the exact same T. rex as the first one. You can even see the scars from the raptors in the first movie where they attacked it. And if you remember, that T. rex nearly caught up with a car going 40 mph.

As funny as it may sounds, I'm kinda okay with product placement. Makes it more... you know, relatable to our world.
According to Trevorrow, it wasn't actually ordered by the studio; he and the other filmmakers added it specifically as a joke about how commercialism works today when product placement is everywhere

I never noticed the product placement. They in this movie simply decided to use real stores instead of fake ones in the back ground and that is a totally reasonable call. Is it actually product placement when the plot/premise requires there appearance and no more attention is payed than what is actually required. I guess the answer is yes technicality..

I was meh on the movie at first......AND THEN THAT FUCKIN ENDIN WIT THE OG MOTHAF**KIN T-REX and it was the same one from the first movie Teamin up with THE RAPTOR AND HAVING A KAIJU STYLE FIGHT WAS SO FUCKIN RAW and the Whole THeater was getting into it SCREAMING and I grabbed this random dude sitting next to me shaking him and he grabbed me back and we had this Bro MOMENT of yelling for the T-rex and the whole crowd was just CHEERING and THAT WAS THE DOPEST Theater experience of the year for me just cause everyone was Soooo into it hahaha it was like a goddamn 4D ride haha

Traposaurus Flex That whole finale was nothing but a giant pull on our nostalgia, they were basically saying 'Look, we made a movie that is totally artless and completely bereft of any of the atmosphere, tension or sense of wonder that the first movie was full of, but LOOK IT'S THE ORIGINAL T-REX AND A RAPTOR IS RIDING IT ISN'T THAT COOL HUH KIDS?' No. It's not cool. It's tacky and cynical and boring.

Um... why is everyone suddenly hating Jurassic World? When it first came out in June, everyone loved it like their old childhood friend finally came back after over 20 years. Now, four months later, the opinions are more polarizing. Was it because of how much money it made? Is it because of the Frozen effect, in which something is so popular, hipsters begin to hate in order to stand out?
If that's the case, I'm going to be six months ahead of the curve and say that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a really bad movie, and that J.J. Abrams deserves to die in hell. If this is what happens in six months, I'll just laugh, knowing I was right all along.
P.S. If you're reading this, Screen Junkies, I want you to do Inside Out. It's my favorite movie of the year.

There is usually a karmic component in these movies when it comes to who gets killed. The assistant was nice to the kids. The bitch who kept referring to animals as assets should have been killed.

I mean, if someone likes a smart movie that thinks racionally about the things happening on screen then this kind of movie is not for them. That's why people dislike this movie. They're expecting something smart, without plot holes, extremely accurate.
The first movie is exactly the same bullshit, with the exception of having fun, loving characters which this movie lacks.
I think it was to show that no one's safe. That even reasonably nice people (like Arnold from the original) die. I think that's fine...
...except she was waving a death flag the moment she appeared on screen. They should have killed Owen if they wanted that effect. No one would have seen that coming.

Me, too. Lex and Tim's actors did a great job protraying the true fear horror in the first film. While the new kids in this movie dont feel very relatable and are kinda unnecessary.
SeaWorld pretends their whales are just “toys”. It’s like how Claire feels about the dinosaurs at the park just being “assets”. Owen, on the other hand, loves and actually cares about the dinosaurs.
It's funny how they completely switch personalities in the sequel. She is now a dinosaur activist after seeing those things kill a bunch of people and he is a cold hearted mercenary. Cool cool.

Jurassic World spit on the first Jurassic Park. At the end of Jurassic Park, a banner falls in front of the T-rex that says, "Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth." In Jurassic World the two boys find the banner, wrap it around one of the broken bones, light it on fire, and use it as a torch that they don't really need.

I think its because its a movie and pure entertainment. But for scientifically accurate facts you can look for a book or a documentary. There are plenty for strict, extremely clever science guys like you. :)

I mean I know the Park's animals have the DNA and traits of tons of different animals, hence why they look so different from the prehistoric creatures they're based on. But what animal would ever do that? I can't think of any.
