I was so glad to see Cyborg be the star of this version. His backstory and character arc was absolutely incredible. Whedon really screwed up cutting so much of Ray Fisher.
The Snyderverse was already on life support. It's no coincidence that WB brought in somebody with a vastly different vision for the franchise, and it wasn't just informed by their opinions, the box office for Man of Steel and BvS weren't great. They needed to change course, unfortunately they went the wrong way from being on a rocky trail to driving off a cliff.
@@stricklinr I understand and agree with this, although I would like to add that the Snyder Verse was only on it’s knees because of studio interference with the films. Joss Whedon's vision with JL - Whedon to Batman : Okay, so you're super rich and have no powers so you're Tony. @@ultimamage3 Didn't "you smell nice" make it into the SC though? Was Whedon already hired on as a script doctor for JL before he replaced Snyder as director?
@@MightyGalvatron It doesn't make it to SC, I just rewatched it. The original script is "You spoke" which is in context. Whedon rewrote it because he rewrote Superman speaking after he got awoken previously.
It's like the Storm line in X-Men film "You know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning?... same thing that happens to everything else." Only sprinkled throughout an entire film.
That line was originally supposed to be set up by toad earlier in the movie - "D'you know what happens when..." was meant to be his catchphrase emphasising that Toads are exceptionally good at surviving - it was a reference to their evolution... Storm's line at the end was meant to flip it... Toad's lines got cut - Storm's were left in which is why it sounds so awkward.

@Prince Smith that would be the dream, i hope we can restore the snyderverse as we did the snydercut so that he can complete his five movie arc. MoS and BvS and my favourite movies.
@Prince Smith i think it's a very misunderstood scene. It is a serious movie and a serious scene. If one look at the context of that scene, it works very well imo. But unfortunately people compare bvs and mos to marvel movies, which are meant as merely entertainment, but snyders movies are more artful and have much more meaning and are profound.
What makes this worse was that the reason Snyder stepped away was because his daughter passed away from suicide. Basically, Joss Whedon ripped Snyder's work from his arms.
Well that's more on Warner Bros they just cared about the movie hitting theaters ASAP. They probably sat around and where like we need this movie out quick get that guy Whedon he's made films about superhero teams.
Joss Whedon went through 3 tiers of comedy: Tier 1 being Avengers, where he perfectly blended comedy into the script. Tier 2 being Age Of Ultron which went a bit overboard with the humour at times but everything was still fine. Tier 3 being Justice League, where he turned the Justice League member's personalities into The Avengers, which really doesn't fit them.

This clip demonstrates why I was never convinced by the team dynamic in the 2017 version; the constant snarks they throw at each other makes it seem like they don't want to be together. In the Snyder Cut, the team actually resolve their differences like adults.
The brunch line is just a copy of the shawarma line from tony in the avengers. The flash falling on Wonder Woman is just a copy of Bruce banner falling on Natasha in Age of Ultron. He was basically recycling scenes from the avengers
Exactly! Also watch Steppenwolf's first entrance and Loki's back to back, it's unreal how identical they are, down to how they drop in next to the CUBE super-McGuffins they both want.
Don't forget when Superman and Cyborg felt defeated/overwhelmed after all that fighting just like that scene with Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk and Thor in Avengers 1.
The argument between Bruce and Diana is just the shitty argument Cap America had with Iron Man. Such a pathetic and garbage take by Joss Whedon. A Horrible actor. When I try to watch his usual Avengers movie I barely can watch 10 minutes of that monstrosity
It baffles me how patronizing this movie feels, the jokes, the story, the "character development", the dialogue, it's like they're mocking JL and the public
Best line in Weadon’s Cut (and by best I mean decent): “Sorry guys, I didn’t bring a sword.” - Batman Worst line in Weadon’s Cut: 3 Way Tie between Flash’s Brunch Line, Martha’s “Thirstiest girl alive”, and Batman’s “something is definitely bleeding down there.”
Yeah the Flash scene isn't that bad.. but in the Snyder version it doesn't work cause Superman, and Flash don't speak.. it would need a proper start where Flash tells Clark how he's a huge fan, and we should test our speeds... since he says Supes was his hero in the Snyder Cut.... I do really like the race just wouldn't work without that intro to the scene imo... Also... the scene where Flash is scared, and Batman says save one person is actually a good scene showing Flash is afraid, and would have worked well... everything else will haunt my nightmares forever.

That line is actually pretty funny haha
Putting aside Whedon's awful lines, him undercutting the Flash's heroic moment just shows that he has no respect for the characters.
Who's here after seeing Snyder cut?! Can he fix the last season of GOT too?! lol
It's actually mind boggling how much better the snyder cut is and how dogshit josstice league was I cant believe they cut all the story telling for cringe comedy
@@yournan116 he must be friends with Rian Johnson
@@khale4nia Hey, Rian Johnson is not a bad director, at least not as bad as Whedon, he made a good job with Looper and Knives Out
@@wolfzeru5745 Rian is extremely terrible
@@RB-qd1zi looper and knives out were great
This feels like remembering childhood trauma and it’s painful to watch 💀💀
