- NESN's Jack Edwards had a 19 year run as the Bruins play-by-play analyst and as the series heads to Toronto for Game 6, Jack and Brick give their final hit high above the ice from TD Garden.

Reached out to Jack on Cameo to see if he would do a gender reveal video for my brothers party. He went above and beyond in a full pink suit and blue tie and absolutely crushed it. He announced it as if he were calling a game. One of a kind nothing but class.
I absolutely HATE Gender reveals, but this is awesome!!!

Being 24 years old I only remember Jack calling games. I appreciate all the hard work he’s put in over the years and he’s a warrior for fighting through whatever it is he’s dealing with. Thank you Jack
25 here and he will always be my voice of Bruins hockey. Lucky to have him. Wish I could shake his hand and say thank you.
Raised in Toronto and heard the best play by play announcers over my 70 years. Jack is one of the best and as a Bruin and hockey fan I just want to say Thank You.
Jack is absolutely one of the commenters of all time.
Thank you Jack for all the great memories of listening to you broadcast the games.
Best wishes for a happy and healthy retirement. 🖤💛
a lot of people dislike jack because he's such a homer, and yes he is. but isn't that such a great thing? with how serious everything is in life, and how serious and high stakes hockey games can be, it's such a nice thing to have an announcer who can joke around and make things goofy and entertaining giving you a laugh from time to time
thanks for all the funny moment jack! 🎉
My Habs commentator is a full homer too (Pierre Houde) and I never thought it was a bad thing. Commentators can love their teams too!
My wife and I sat next to Jack at a restaurant and while we didn't want to bother him, some excited kids did come up and say hi. Jack was so nice to them and gave them the time of day to make it special for them. Enjoy retirement, Jack!
Ok man up ... Who else had a tear in their eye watching this ... Thanks for the great memories.....
I would ,if I had a vagina
My boyfriend sent this to me at work and I was like... what are you trying to kill me here?! Ahhh 😢
Oh God it gets more emotional as it goes on, I gotta go 😅
Jack forever ❤
Nope fuck this clown glad he’s gone
I was celebrating, he’s been terrible these past few years.
Can’t wait for next season so……I………….wont………haveetooo……list….en……to…….him
@@ninetysnano6071 totally disrespectful! Jack Edwards is dealing with a mysterious illness. Show some compassion for him. He’s been doing his job for quite a number of years on and off camera. Be kind!
Rangers fan here who appreciated Jack’s passion for Bruins and hockey!
Best to you!!
Very cool....
Thank you Jack for 19 years of utmost passion calling Bruins games, you will be missed!!
Happy retirement Jack! Your call style is similar to our radio play by play announcer in Tampa. Legend.
"You were the best when you were at your best".
Thanks for being our homer.
All the best from Newfoundland.
Jack, you are the most entertaining sports announcer.
Thank you for all the great moments, Jack!
Jack has given his whole heart and soul to Bruins fans for 19 yrs . There will never be another to replace his love and passion for the team and Org . 👊🏼🎸🙏🏼❤️
I was legitimately teary-eyed the entire game
Thank you Jack for the most passionate announcing there ever was in the game of hockey!! You will be missed!!!
Your voice, your calls, all brilliant. Happy and healthy trails.
Jack, every single broadcast I felt I was watching the game with my best friend. I started watching hockey with the legendary Fred Cusick...after him you're my favorite broadcaster in hockey...& tied with Jerry Remy if we toss in baseball. You sir are in good company. Good luck with your health & here's hoping all your future ice isn’t in a drink. Don't be a stranger 😔
Thanks Jack. Sports tend to be taken quite seriously, so hearing you injecting humor and fun into it, every game, was something that I never took for granted. You're the man!
Thank you Jack, for the 19 years "high above the ice", all the way from South Dakota, just a small part of Bruins Nation!
We are lucky to have you Jack and Brick calling Bruins games for such a long time with some high and low moments. You always doing a amazing job! All the best to you! Thank you so much guys! We love you❤
I did not like Jack at all when he first came into the booth, but he grew on me. For half my life Ive listen to Jack call the Bruins games, and I have to say you will forever be in my HOF for calling games. Thank you Jack and may you have a fantastic retirement! ❤
From a Rangers fan since 1979 (my first game at age 9 was the infamous Milbury going in the stands at MSG) and as one whom you have occasionally driven crazy, I wish you nothing but good health, lots of love, recovery and hope you carry the same passion into your recovery as you did broadcasting. If ever, someone can be called a true Bruin, you would be one of them.
Be well!!!!!
All the best Jack. Thanks for memories
Been watching the Bruins for about 50 years. No one calls a game like Jack. I sat near him on a flight from Florida to Hartford last year after the Bruins went up 3-1 against the Panthers. He was friendly and gracious and took the time to sign my Bruins hat. Thanks for the memories Jack, I wish you health and happiness in your retirement.
Thank you Jack. Thanks for being a part of my family for 19 years. You too Brick! My 7 year old daughter who watches the B's with me; every time she sees you guys pregame since she was 2 she shouts "Jack and Brick!!!" :D You guys are the best. I hope we always have an announcer with as much passion for the game and the Bruins as you. My family wishes you all the best. We were lucky to have you in our living rooms for so long. Hope to see you around. :)
Jack, Thank you! I have listened to you since Chris was your partner at UNH. You did it right. You were true to yourself. It has been awesome!
All the best Jack from Ontario, Canada. You elevate a passion in us Bruins fans like no other. Enjoy your retirement “down the river”!
Thank you for so much of your time and for the countless, boundless and utterly hilarious (at times) calls. You're forever in our hearts and in Boston history. ❤
One of Jack's best and most descriptive play-by-play moments of all time was during a multiple player brawl "He's giving him the Noogies!" It took me 10 minutes to stop laughing and another 10 for my eyes to stop watering! 🤣
Thank you Jack for all your calls, your compassion is second to none and that makes you the perfect person for this job. Again, we all are grateful. All the best!
Whether or not you are a Jack Edwards fan, it's hard to not to feel bad about his situation. Sometimes just listening you don't see how much he is struggling to get the right words out, but when you see him on camera you can see it in his face how hard he has to work just to complete a sentence. Hopefully they can diagnose the problem.
Thank you Jack. As I've become older, watching pro sports does not have the priority it once did in my life. Watching Bruins hockey is the exception and there is no doubt that having you calling the games is a big reason why. The excitement and experience is tops! Best wishes going forward!
Brick is all class and a great color man!
Thank you Jack for all the years of entertainment. You are so special to us and your talent is unmatched. Thanks for always having the bravery to calling it like it is. You are a man of truth and we always love that about you. We love you and will be praying for you and your family for new amazing adventures to come. Cheers to you and your amazing journey!
I'm a Sens fan and I always enjoyed listening to Jack Edwards!! He was always entertaining and he loved his Boston Bruins. Today each NHL team has its own broadcasters so yeah they're all "cheering" for their team. Jack Edwards was very intense and I hope that he will get better and enjoy his life. Go Bruins Go!!!
I'll remember Jack for as long as I live he enriched my life greatly. I can't say enough about him.
Best wishes from a Bruins fanatic in Cambridge, ON.
Thank you Jack! You will be missed❤
Jack is the consummate Bruin. Thanks for all the great memories Mr. Edwards! You’re a legend!
As deep as the scars left on my heart are from 2011, i have to respect one of the best to ever call it. Congrats on a wonderful career Jack. 👏
As a lifelong Rangers fan I have to say, thank you Jack for all you have done for this beautiful game that we all love. It is sad to see you go but you are, and always will be, and icon in the game of hockey.
Fred and Derek/Jonny number 1 - Jack and Brick number 1a. I Wish you well, Jack your voice will always be in my memory when I think of the Bruins just like Fred.
Bob Wilson
Good luck onwards Jack. You will be missed. And not only in the US. Your announcing made it past the ocean here to Europe and I'll never forget your lines and your enthusiasm for the game and especially for the Bruins. Whenever I was able to watch the game (usually at 1:00 AM of our time) I tuned on NESN (don't ask me how) and watched the game hearing you and Brick.
Thank you
I love you JACK ! You have been the best I am a fan for life and I am going to miss you so much man I was 24 YEARS OLD when JACK took over wow ~
Thanks Jack. I have enjoyed your calling of the Bruins games over these many years. You were a true Bruins fan and you showed it in every game. Thanks for being our homer. Good luck to you in the future. We'll miss your calls of the games.
From a Bruin fan north of the border, I wish you well Jack!!!
He needed to retire but I’m still sad.
Bergy, Chara, Edwards…all a part of the last 20 years of my life. It feels weird to go through this transition
All the best from New Brunswick.
Got to see you when I attended my first ever bruins game at TD garden Jan 20th of this year. The 9-4 Montreal thumping. I’ll never forget that night or you
Bless you gentlemen. (from an Av's fan)
Thank you Jack for all the memories, you are synonymous with my childhood and love for the Bruins. Can’t thank you enough ❤️
feels like losing another piece of my dad. we used to watch the game all the time together. jack edwards is the voice of the bruins
Much love and well wishes. I always loved listening to you Jack. Some great emotion and you told it how you saw it and answered to nobody else. Best of luck, from a Canucks fan. Sad day for hockey.
Thank you for all your hard work and dedication Jack. You always got excited about the hockey, whether it was the B’s or the other team. You will be missed, and I’m happy I got to listen to you calling Bruins games through my entire adult life. I hope they send you off with a W in game 6!
We love you Jack, thank you so much for the countless memories and memorable calls. Thanks for the selfie in Charlotte in the airport!
Thank you Jack! All the best to you!
Came here for some friendly chirps. I didn't know he was struggling with his speech. It's hard losing the voice of your team if you know what I'm saying. His silliness and over the top calls are only outweighed by his passion for the team and the sport. The Bs made him proud on many occasions.
Legend! Thank you!
Thank you Jack, always came with the high energy and did your best to explain how the ice was looking. Enjoy retirement bucko!
Thanks Jack!!
Thanks Jack
Best wishes to the next chapters! Thanks for the wonderful memories shared.
Thank you, Jack. You are loved and will be missed. You are fun and brought humanity to a sport that was so important to a prairie boy here in Canada. Cheers!
Let’s hope for 1 last W tonight! Thanks for the memories, Jack!
Jack's play by play ability is so vivid he don't even need a color co-commentary
This upsets me more than I thought it would, but I'm happy Jack can spend more time with his family. What a career!!!
You will be missed. Wishing you all the best!
Thanks for the memories!’nnmm
I wish you well Jack Edwards. Sorry to know about speech problem. Life isn't easy. ❤
ive never enjoyed any sports games more than a bruins game because of jack edwards. he would make me laugh so hard. and his passion is unmatched. i live in arizona. this hurts worse than the coyotes being relocated.
We love you Jack ~ and Brick! 🏒❤🏒❤🏒
God bless you Jack...you are the best!
Jack put his whole heart into it. I would say he’s mostly disliked by those outside the organization, and I can certainly understand that. For instance compared to rick jeanneret, Jack doesn’t even come close. But he spent so many years with the organization, and that’s what’s incredible to me. Hope you have a great retirement, Jack! Even from your biggest haters, like me ❤
Going to miss you Jack, best of wishes and thanks for everything!!!
You're the best, Jack! Love you too, Brick!
thank you jack i hope that you have a great retirement and best wish to you and your family as well 💛🖤💛🖤
Love Jack Edwards, he's had me rolling at times. Wish he could announce forever.
Love this guy and will miss him greatly.
We Love you Jack.
Thank you for the memories, Jack.
Jack Edward's commentary brought me to the sport....I never knew much about hockey or followed the sport...until 2019 when the Bruins were in the playoffs and Jack and Brick were providing the play by play....I have watched every Bruins game since...Thank you Mr Edwards for your funny and unique way of calling a hockey game...."can of corn"...."chinese mustard"...."tumbling muffin"...I still laugh every time....
Very sad news. Will miss you terribly, Jack! What an iconic voice! Shame on those who insulted a person with some kind of ailment( I never even noticed)
Going to miss Jack and his energy, legend!
Last night, I was listening to the LA and Oilers game. During that, I came to appreciate Jack and Brick so much more. It has been like listening to two buddies calling the game. Other networks, just don’t have the connection these two do. I think it’s true, that no one had more fun than them. Thank you Jack, your calls are Legendary and you will be sorely missed. Now, let’s go Bruins!!! 🖤💛🐻🏒
Hit the road, Jack, and don't you come back no mo', no mo', no mo', no mo' . . . #Chump
Thanks Jack and Brick. I hope to see you in the Garden as a fan many times over the next few years/decades. Is Brick retiring also, or will he be back next year with the new B's announcer?
I can't lie, I'm tearing up a bit. I'm 38 and I've been watching the Bruins since I was 9. I don't really remember who called the games before Jack to be honest. I hope you have a wonderful retirement Jack! You are the best in the business. Andy I'm glad you're still here. Much love, Jack!!!
If the boys can’t bring this home for the city, they need to do it for Jack and his absolute love of the B
Thank you Jack!!!! 😪💛
Thanks Jack you will be missed.
Thanks for the years together Jack👍
Thanks for the memories Jack
I'm gonna miss the Chinese mustard, tumbling muffins, and I'll never forget "mahtha the bahns on fiyah!". You were one of a kind, Jack, and the bruins broadcast will never be the same again without you😢Thanks for being the best homer of them all!
I was at the Game. Drove from Cape Breton, 12 hours.. We all know the bruins didn't show you, but I will watch it online to hear your last call. Thanks Jack!!
Thanks Jack!
Good luck Jack. You have been just as much a part of the Bruins as the players are. Thanks for your 19 years as the voice of the Boston Bruins
God Bless
Not a Bruins fan, but Jack is one of those special announcers....Exciting, passionate and sure, sometimes polarizing...but that's the sign of a unique person bringing his own style and opinions and how can you not love that? Sorry to hear he's going through this condition....Wishing him all the best and I know he'll be missed by hockey fans everywhere.
All the best Jack we so very much enjoyed your passion for the Bruins, Luvs to ya too Brick.
Its interesting...when the action is going fast, Jack's speech is at his best. But his struggles are more evident between faceoffs. So sad that doctors basically told him 'everything's fine'. Thanks for 19 great years, Jack! Hope the B's do their part and send you out with another ring!
Simply the best
Man, we have lost Jerry Remy and Tommy heinson, RIP. No of course we're losing Mike Gorman to retirement and Jack Edwards to a medical condition. I still wasn't over The Red Sox snubbing Orsillo for no good reason. Absolute Legends all, basically the soundtrack to our formative years in many cases. Especially for me Mike and Tommy and Jerry
On behalf of all Bruins fans north of the border Congratulations Jack! Bruins Hockey Voice Black and Gold standard will be missed, but not forgotten…
