The humblest athlete of all time.
Hard to argue...one can make a persuasive case for his exemplary humility especially in light of his literal superstar status in the hockey world. What a gift for the sport to have had the likes of Beliveau, Howe, Mario...#4. Class acts all.
i was at this game with my dad....i was 11,it was the first time i saw my dad cry......what a night
A great great hockey player and an even better human being!
They'll never be another like him. Never
Thank you Mr. Orr
Bobby Orr is the reason why I fell in love with hockey. We love you, #4! 🏒🏒🏒🏒
Bobby Orr is a good man , a humble man ! Bob M .
golden age of boston bruins hockey, the games back then were a must see for all of us.
Boy is Bobby loved in Boston and all around in the world of hockey. What a classy person. Every father would like to have a son like Bobby. Humble to the core.
Habs fan for almost 60 years and I have discussed among my sport fanatic friends a longtime held sense that of all the supreme athletes that have worn a Boston/NE jersey in their careers (e.g. Williams, Russell, Bird, Brady etc.), regardless of a most worthy respect and admiration for their contributions to their sports, it is Orr that will always be the most beloved, not least because of his character. I don't believe that I'm wrong about that.
That's awesome. They wanted to show their appreciation. One of the newer chants is "THANK-YOU. BOB-BY!! (clap. clap. clap-clap-clap)." If that one was around back then they would have done it for 20 straight minutes. This was the '79 Bruins team. When Grapes took them to within a hair of the Stanley Cup Final. That would've been just a great, great night. The hero-worship must've been unreal. I learned of Bobby Orr much later on. I had no idea how good he was. Arguably the greatest complete hockey player ever.
I was at the garden the nite they retired ORiely' jersy, When Bobby Orr came onto the ice the place erupted it was awsome!!!!
Terry O'Reilly. The heart and soul of the Bruins players from the mid 70's through the mid 80's. What a tough bastard. Thanks Terry for all the memories!
The Greatest! We love you Bobby you're my HERO #4 BOBBY ORR ! ❤
Growing up I played left defence and wore # 4 on my jersey. There was no other defence man who could take his place.
Best player I have ever seen at the old Boston Garden. He revolutionized the game. Defenseman were not expected to score. And yet he wins the scoring title as a defenseman ! #4 Bobby Orr 🏒🤘
Gretzky and Orr...tie for GOAT...if his knees held out maybe The Best !
Looooove this!!!!
My idol of course from the age 8 in 1969,, to still even today...
Classiest, most humble person you'll ever meet - How he played hockey is one of the least great qualities of this man.
Beliveau right there with him. Great men through their character...Amen.
I'm a Tom Landry-era Dallas Cowboys fan, watching in earnest since 1963.
But I am also a NHL fan, from back when there were only 6 teams in the league.
As a kid born and raised in rural
🇨🇱Texas🇨🇱, I basically knew of no other pro hockey fans.
There were no NHL teams in the South, but we got the NHL games on TV, and l became a fan of the Montreal Canadiens.
I remember the legendary Bobby Orr's rookie season with the Boston Bruins in '66, and became a fan of his from then on.
Not only is Bobby Orr one of the greatest players in the history of the NHL, but even
more so.....he is a great human being.
God bless our pro hockey players from a by-gone era 🏒🏒
I remember watching that!!! The G.O.A.T!!
Bobby, just a class act all the way
There will never be another player like#4 Bobby Orr. THats it those are Big shoes to fill.
Two words. Love great
Even with two bad knees, he was better than anyone else.
Was Bobby a Beatle?
Where’s Grapes?
The greatest EVER. On and off the ice. #4 🐐 👑🏆
My dream came true when as a boy in Ukraine, I watched Bobby Orr playing in the Canada Cup in 1976.
terry?
Only 30 years old.
4 ever…
Lost me when he supported Trump. Will never get my respect back.
All those years that Orr played without a helmet has caught up with him....He endorses Trump!!
Thanks for pointing out that Orr has intelligence to go along with his class and humility....
@@bluestar9463 Hero to Zero!
@@bluestar9463 HERO TO ZERO!!!!!!.....Bobby, you might be a great athlete but that dosen't make you smart
He’s smart enough to know how to spell “doesn’t” correctly. Maybe he can proofread your comments for errors before you post them.@@JustBreath123

DONALD J. TRUMP -
The greatest U.S. president since Dwight D. Eisenhower.... possibly even since the great Andrew Jackson.
🇺🇲MAGA🇺🇲
WITH
PRESIDENTTRUMP
Lost all respect for him when he supported Trump but he was second only on the ice to Gretzky.
