Many people now are criticizing this basic exercise but it sure worked for me when my physical therapist recommended it. It's very safe if you've had knee injury and tracking irritation.
I've had knee pain when running for a while and haven't been able to go further than 5km without pain. I was diagnosed with an inactive vmo and did these exercises for about 3 days. Today I ran 8km with no pain. I'm going to keep them up and hope it keeps getting better. Thanks for the video.
I have dislocated my kneecap 3 times now.it was so painful and fed up for 2 months.this excercise helps to strenghen my quadraceps muscle. Very thanksful for this video

@@kakasvk i use to run 10 kms daily, i wanted to lose weight... But one day my knee got irritated like hell, it used to burn a lot... Its mild chondromalacia... My knee makes creaky sensation
2 physiotherapists, a doctor, an MRI. No one has suggested this. Im a cyclist and my knee swells when i go hard... im pretty sure this is the problem. Will report back.....

@@adivarma95 you should visit experience physiotherapist and get proper examination of whats exactly your problem..might not be only weak VMO

Schuyler Coleman no. these are for activation. kind of misleading but activation leads to strengthening

When your after knee surgery it is not easy at all. I can only do the first part! 🙄😁
maybe your VMO isn't weak?
