Another fun and informative tutorial. Some reason this is the first time where Evee is way slower than cycles for me. Very strange.
EDIT: I guess my computer just isn't powerful enough for this strong rhino. I'm too lazy to retopo this sculpt so a decimate modifier worked really well to improve performance but maintain a nice looking sculpt.
Would love the clay shader tutorial btw!

I have a pen display and thought following along this tutorial would be a good way to use it. I'm not quite used to the setup though, having only used a mouse with Blender until now.

And I've just almost finished Rhino one which is my first sculpting work.
But I can't get how you did that cool dark lines on eyes, mouth, legs :)
I've applied the texturing from your video and it looks kind of similar but without those dark lines.

@@grabbitt Thank you for the hint, I've tried cycles and it got better but still isn't as good as yours :)
I guess I've made some mistake during sculpting. I'll keep it as is, it's just first work so I hope I'll deal with this problem when working on another work.

Oh my god he is so cute!
Nice and easy to follow. Only critique is that 1 mil Tris seems way overkill for such a simple cartoon animal. I thinks it's better to squeeze all you can with a low detail mesh. It's amazing how much Shade Smooth and a Procedural material can help camouflaging a low resolution sculpt. Shadows will cover a lot of mistakes.
When he symmetrized the mesh to apply changes to the cheek, did it also apply to the horn and make it symmetrical as well?
Just curious since the effect on the horn was intended to be asymmetrical.
Yes, it applies to the whole mesh, I believe he just forgot about the horn.. if your following along and want that asymmetrical look I would go back to fix it
Can you put the things you make possible to be downloaded because it's difficult sometimes and sucks when it fails

I don't have the Draw sharp, clay strips, clay thumb, multi-plane scrape, elastic deform, pose in sculpting mode how could add them to the tools.

Yes you can but you have to retopologize. There's automated tools for that though

My rino looks like a pig with a horn and I kinda like it but also the moment I put a mouth on it looks like a reincarnation of the joker and I can't get it fixed

I would if I had a Display Tablet
Well, you don't need a display tablet, a regular graphics tablet with a matte surface would do just fine, you just look at the monitor and let your hand do the work automatically.
Then again I have neither, so what do I know...
Everyone insists you need a tablet for sculpting, so I haven't tried any of Grant's sculpt tuts yet.
True you don't need a Display Tablet for sculpting. But you do need one for texturing and I'm above grants level but it's nice to do some of his tuts

Means u keep this video on ur phone or 2nd screen and open ur blender and start doing what he's doing and make a rhino happy 😊
