Thank you very much Grant! Have a blessed day!
GJ Grant, you're real professional!
Almost finished the toadstool. I couldn't have constancy while making the toadstool because of ADHD and personal interruptions,. Unfortunately, at the end I started to dislike my own work because of the lack of constancy. Aside from that, as always, is a pleasure to follow along one of your tutorials, especially this one, because I have always been afraid at digital sculpting, but you sculpting playlist have encouraged me to keep learning and practicing. Thanks for all your educational content, Mr. Abbit
I got a graphics tablet last week and am currently on your green alien. It's loads of fun and totally different from the hard surface work I usually do. This looks like another excellent sculpt, so thanks for that and please keep them coming!
Thank you so much for your video’s. They are so easy to follow and explain all I need to know at the same time. You repeat the tools you used plenty of times which is great because repetition is how I learn best! I’ll share my results later in your discord :)
Another great and fun tutorial, I really liked how you started making up a story about how this little toadstool can't move around. Great fun! I was a bit taken aback by not using dyntopo and in fact I used remesh for the body and dyntopo for the top. Will have to get used to remeshing if they remove dyntopo.
Excellent tutorial! Thank you Grant!
AS always a nice and easy to follow sculpting tutorial from the best Blender CZcamsr in the world ;)
Very cool. Look forward to the texturing. Cheers.
One thing i am feeling sad that im making so many low poly and hardsurface models and did not follow up with your sculpting tutorials they are GREAT and i am gonna watch all of these once i complete my gun, or dump it(it happens all the time) I absolutely love all your videos i wish to become like you
Thank you, I'm gathering ideas for sculpting a parrot squig for my 40k project and the techniques you showed in this video will be very useful to me.
I used to make clay toadstool characters. Going to have fun with this tutorial.
Another great video, I might actually learn how to sculpt with the help of your tutorials!
It's great! Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you! I've been suffering with performance and topology with dyntopo and this showed me an alternative I'll definitely be checking out :D
Artist!
Thank you so much! You explain it wonderfully! Loving greetings
ما شاء الله عليك يا استاذ

Grant, im not gonna lie. I'm currently taking your Game Character Course on udemy and I finished quite a bit of it (almost reached the rigging and animation phase). Your course is a literal game changer for me. By far the best course with the best and clearest instructions I ever took on this subject. Keep up the awesome work!
thanks :) please help me by leaving a good review :)
@@grabbitt I just finished the course and left a very positive review for you to enjoy :) Thanks for the great course! I hope to see more of your great work and clear instructions on other topics like animation or retopolgy in Blender in the future!
@@DominikGoebel thanks very much 🙂
So good
I can see people utilizing your tutorials to make their 2020 Halloween renders😍. Have you looked into different toon shader materials or "freestyle" after effects for cartoonish low poly look?
cool one!
I always think you'd be the perfect character designer for games like American McGee's Alice or Little Nightmares. These obscure fairy tales if you will.
You can check how much you're remeshing by pressing shift+R, and apply it by pressing ctrl+R
Got two requests:
a) continue the alien
b) make a venom head cuz it introduces stuff such as monster teeth, complex eyes etc.
How about that?
Might do that yes
@@grabbitt might do which one? 1 or 2?
GRANT, have a option in the remesh: preserve: volume, he preserve the volume of your shape, to not lote that detail
yes true :)
Grant, just as a heads-up, somehow youtube has been hiding your videos from my recommended feed. i don't know if anyone else is having the same issue so i'm putting it out there.
A good chunk of time passed with me thinking "it's been a while since grant uploaded something" :(, missed a lot of good stuff.
CZcams didnt let me subscribe for 3 days. Finally got it though
Please! can you make more sculpting videos? Your tutorials extremely helpful and well remembered in my mind than other tutorials do
have you gone through the whole series?
tanks a lot !
Requesting follow up video on creating the final render with the grass etc.
161 likes and no dislikes? Impressive!
huh your channel is now making me feel like a noob now
I doubt they'll get rid of dynotopo, at least I hope not, maybe redoing it
My first tutorial, my hat is cool but the body shape looks a little wierd but good after all
Hey Grant, thanks for the great video. You mentioned hearing talk about them getting rid of dyntopo? Where did you hear that - it seems like one of the core sculpting features, so I'm surprised to hear they're giving it the axe!
Yeah I think it messes with performance
Love the channel. Definitely tought me so much.
Please do some sculpting with multires modifier (with dynotopo off in return). Is it beneficial? or what you suggest?
You must have a detailed mesh first
Hello, is there any general rules or notes that I should be aware of when trying to retopo the clothing of my character in blender? Because right now, they are very dense... Also, say my character has cloth on his body so that we won't really see the body mesh under the cloth. Do I still need to retopo that body mesh for the animation to work or I should just retopo the cloths on top of it? Sorry to ask this question here but I really just want to reach you.
remove dynotopo is bad imo i like it alot it makes stuff easier imo
Loved your tutorial ! But how did you make the grass, will we ever know ? :o
I have a video on making grass
Make more stuff like this
Hey I'm new here, it would be great if you made a video on how to sculpt using an image as reference. For instance, you could make like a pokemon using a pokemon image
Do you have a tutorial on how to make your work look nice still but retopo it for game asset? I’d love to be able to make my work more low poly but still have a high quality texture.
Yes. It's slightly complicated but I have a couple of playlist. See my retopo playlist. My rock playlist and my axe playlist
im getting started with blender this weekend and plan to make some funko pops. can you make a video on that? or recommend something that would help
See my playlist on Deadpool funkopop
@3:15 somehow my mirror doesnt work on x , its not right on center for the mushroom head. How do you center the thing?
Right click origins
Hello Grant. i have noticed you and other youtubers. they sometime fast Forward videos but speak in realtime. when you record your videos. do you Speak at the same time? or first record edit the video then record video? for example. you were speaking while applying modifiers like in realtime but when you got into sculpting video fast forwarded but your speak Momentum was same. i am asking because i want to make videos on youtube like this too
i edit afterwards and fast fowrad but keep my voice the same
Where is the continuation for coloring? Would be nice if you put a link. I can only find the wizard gnome. But not the coloring of the toadstool with the pretty tiny grass.
i have not done it yet
@@grabbitt Oh I didnt see the date, the video was brandnew, sorry.
finally got a better machine (16gig) and setting up Wacom tablet. The buttons work but when I touch pen to the tablet I get nothing. I have viewed 5 different videos but the problem is not solved. Any reason the buttons work but not the pen? I have the tablet set to automatic. I am using Blender 3.0.0.
Difficult to say. Are all your driver's all up to date
How do you get inspiration for your models?
Pinterest mainly
interesting. Thanks!
for easy remesh U can press SHIFT + R to set reslotion and to apply it press CTRL + R
NOTE : before U do this stepes make sure dynotopo its off otherwise its not gonna work
That's good to know thanks
U R welcome
i hope U do a video about how to paint sculpt without need to retopology that gonna help me and lot of people alot 😍
Lock Object Nodes is not working for me guys... I unchecked option but Alt Click doing nothing. How can i fix that?
Not sure why that would be. could be a bug
Why are they talking of removing Dynotopo? Seems like a feature that would be sorely missed by a lot of users.
Right?!
I think Pablo said that dyntopo is really hard to maintain as it’ a different engine entirely. They basically have to code and maintain 2 version of each brush because of dyntopo.
@@jdlar6 I see. That makes sense.
I have a question, plss reply, how can I see color in object mode, like blender vincent should be gray in object mode but it is yellow, I have seen that in many other tutorials also, I can not concentrate with that question in my mind, pls reply
material preview mode
@@grabbitt That's why I am confused, vincent has colours in Solid viewport also, how????
First
@Casey Hubble 267 :(
Sculpt anime characters please 🙏. Sorry, my English is bad
Why do you keep remeshing it again and again? Im new want to know.
Look up topology
@@grabbitt ok Thankyou :)
In the title it says "Blender 2 9" at the end. I think you probaly mean "Blender 2.9'
thanks
