Unexpected Balance and Wisdom How Autism Redefined My Core

Raising an autistic child can bring a good amount of stress, fear, chaos, and exhaustion, but more so, it brings love, humor, amazement, delight, and unexpected knowledge. Autistic humans can teach and inspire if those around them just stop and pay attention. This session will focus on how one mom's autistic son taught her how to step outside of her comfort zone, as a mother and an academic, and strengthen her perceptions of different learning styles, while inspiring a dissertation topic.
