That was 4 units of furies attacking all at once which costs 200 gold more than 1 unit of hippo knights. Plus the guy fell into an obvious trap and got surrounded in a big blob. I'd say it is completely fair that the hippo knights lost as the odds were stacked against them.

well, If any of you remember how fast Furies can destroy tower in siege... this is same case......while not as big target as tower(all 60 furies models can attack tower) , hippo Knights are still big enough that shit ton of fury model can swarm around them and proceed to tear them apart

first time I've heard of hippo knights being unkillable. most of your replays show them being annihilated on the first 2 minutes, and I have yet to have a problem with them. what faction would they even be good against when you have cheaper grail options that have more dps? maybe dwarves if you can shut down the mass missiles?

On a lot of the live streams it's just watching hippos get healed for 10 minutes of cycle charging

Adding on to that, the lower model count and massive hp per model (716) means it is easier to keep them at full effectiveness if they do take damage until they receive their heal.

The replays typically don’t show the meta, or at least the meta in situations where it works, example the Dreadsaurian barely had any videos on it when it was meta.
When you cast several hour tournaments where hyppos completely dominate there is little desire to cast or show games where it happens.
