to be fair as far as I remember Neferata actually cried when Arkhan died during the end times and while yes Nagash is incapable of forming any kind of friendship Arkhan is the closest thing he has to a friend

To be fair, Nagash only trusted 2 people in existence, himself and Arkhan. Everyone else he treated like they were imminently about to betray him.
Also Arkhan got to bang Neferata and created Vampires by showing her the elixir of life. He was such a swell guy that when he got clapped in the End Times Neferata cried.
Which she didn't even do for her husband.
Well, her husband was an abusive, misogynistic bastard, so….who *would* cry for him? Aside from his dude bro minions who depended on him, of course.
Tbf, Nagash also punished Arkhan brutally if he ever failed him, trust is kind of a big word here.

This noob's guide made me think that arkhan and neferata's relationship can be best described as ex lovers who still hook up from time to time for fun times with their relationship being stopped by arkhan's simping for nagash and khalida saying that neferata should hook up with women and trying to cure neferata of her vampire curse.
Thats dumb, khalida *hated* neferata and wanted to eviscerate her

Ah Arkhan the Eternal Friendzone that even Jorah Mormont could pity and Jorah’s dead.
To Neffy and Arkhan's credit, Neffy didn't friend zone him because she had no feelings, but because she cared about him too much to get in a relationship with him, which uh, considering neffy, is probably the kindest thing she ever did.
I can tell you why the novel contradicts the old lore. It's because Josh Reynolds does amazing work with characters and Arkhan was really developed in the various short stories and novels written by Reynolds.
The Nagash Age of Legends novels that wildly contradict canon (including canon in game books that came out after them) that he referenced weren't written by Josh Reynolds. They were written by someone else. The End Times novel were Arkhan and Neferata kissed, yeah that was Reynolds.

Everything about End Times was silly and rushed though, and the only man Neferata ever loved was Vlad/Vashanesh who was smart enough to nope.gif, do a 360 and walk away
Neferata has stated that 08:23 never happened and was a fanfic Arkhan wrote into one of the 9 books of Nagash to impress his boss once he came back.

I think Nagash making an eventual appearance in game 3 is a no-brainer. Aside from Chaos, he's the main villain of the setting after all

I love Arkhan, i really didnt care much about "necrons not in speesh" but after reading some of the rise of nagash books and even some of the aos books, he is really cool guy ..

I mean a curse of years on an elf is literally impotent. High elf Batman laughed at him for that attempt probably and considering how often he laughs it mustve stung.
To be fair, Arkhan cursed him so hard that his soul exploded, got scattered across reality, and still clung to him when a literal god put him back together. So Id say Arkhan got him pretty good with that one.
As far as I recall, Eltharion was reduced to dust by the spell. Elves can be quite old, but with a few exceptions, most don't tend to live past a third millennium if memory serves.
...So basically Arkhan upcast the spell real hard. It should be noted that this lad is also by definition the second most powerful Lore of Vampires caster after Nagash himself.
HIgh Elf Batman became a pile of dust so hard he's still a pile of dust in AoS but ok

I feel the Araby sized hole as well. Seeing the OVN scenes made me sigh a lot. Why was it not implemented? Sigh.....

So, now I have to look up that mod, because I just need some more variety in the early to midgame Tome Kings roster that Arkhan's current selection of units...doesn't really supply all that readily.
Its fun, but really unbalanced sadly. It makes Arkhan by far the most powerful of the tomb kings, and maybe even puts the faction overall into the top 10. maybe even top 5. If you dont mind being a little overpowered, its pretty good. Afaik its really accurate to the lore, too, but im not an expert at all. I think the modmaker also said he wanted to look at balance again. All in all its really worth trying out.

Oh, i remember that. Eltha- i mean, batelf, forgot that he was also a mage and tried to one on one (DISARMED) Arkhan, attempting to kill a multi-millenia old liche by... snapping his neck.
End Times was weird as f@%×.
To be fair at that time Arkhan was attempting to resurrect Nagash while the High Elf army with Eltharion was getting overwhelmed and slaughtered. Mostly because Eltharion is a dick that doesn't play well with others and rather than wait for the Empire and the Dwarfs to bring their own forces, he went off without them. Eltharion basically knew by that point that he and his warriors weren't going to survive the battle but he could kill Arkhan and stop the resurrection of Nagash, it would be a worthy sacrifice.
It was desperation move pure and simple for Eltharion.
@@AkatsukiBoss13 but why didn't he casted any spell then? Sounds still a tid better than simply take and try to broke a skeleton neck by smashing his head against the edge of a cauldron.
@@AkatsukiBoss13 To be fair, the human army actually went ahead (because Eltharion took a more cautious approach and the human commander got impatient) and got slaughtered, while the Dwarfs were forced into a fight with a massive beastmen herd that left them at a fraction of their strenght and unable to reach the meeting point.
If they make joint factions now and planning to bring back Nagash, then I hope to see Abhorash with same VC and TK rosters and with Brettonian knights coming in to swear a martial oath to one of the companions of the Green Knight.
And with new Kathai lore with "weredragon" nobility, they could say that dragon Abhorash slew and drained to be cured of his thirst was one of the Dragon Emperor's siblings.... and then add vampiric red dragon to Kathai legendary lords list with revenge boner for Abhorash:D

Well it's been a while since you last made one of these so do you think you could the other Dwarf Lords their own video or perhaps summon the Elector Counts and give Karl Franz his own Noobs Guide, or perhaps give Sigvald his Noobs Guide and not have any innuendos in it at all. Just some ideas being thrown out, you don't have to do them immediately just whenever you get the time.
