6:12 Jank isn't with Settra, it's the foot characters having extremely low knockdown resist. While the cats did get a lot of melee improvements in 5.1 none of them have any impact on interactions with foot characters, its still just getting lucky on your knockdown resist rolls (or rather the HE player getting unlucky). This is an extremely fixable issue and one I'm hoping CA will take action on soon.

GW writers have actively stated something along the lines of "There are exactly the right amount of elves to make the story interesting." When referring to populations. It would also pretty much extend to all other races I would guess but there are so many schlock reasons that people can come up with.

I remember reading this book a long time ago and wanting to re read because I didn’t remember anything. But wow I guess I forgot it for a good reason it’s nice to see someone else talk about how ridiculous some of these books can be. I would love to read more Warhammer but some of the writers make books that just aren’t very good. I hope we can see more lore videos because these are fun.

High elves allow Dark elves to exist only for political reasons, in order for the ulthuan military complex to make more gold from spear and chariot sales and as an excuse to keep taxes high. It's so obvious. Night of blood probably isn't even real, it's only televised and shown to the island elves to make the more liberal and freedom loving dark elves look bad. I get it that the crimes rates in Naggarond are elevated in comparison to most elves but if you compare them to any city in the Empire it's not even so bad and likely due to social and economic factors and not IQ related, they just need more money for schools and hospitals smh. The GDP of Naggaroth per capita isn't even bad, it's comparable to most tier 3 cities in the Empire like one of the provinces around Kislev.

I always hated the nonsense of the dark elves. They even killing each other because otherwise their not evil and cool enought but every time they march to war it seems the High elves are so small in numbers that is ridiculous.

Took a bit to come up with this but. I completely agree the the dark elves would be doomed in a real numbers test vs the high elves however a perspective. 1. This murder festival of khaine, perhaps it’s inspired and therefore more like a real like event that occurred like this. The Spartan’s regularly declared war on their slaves called helots, this was to cull the weak population and instill fear into the slaves. Perhaps the murder festival of khaine isn’t done with the idea of killing dark elves but murdering slaves. 2. What are the genetic differences between a dark elf and a high elf? Perhaps like races like the Beastmen, they increase their numbers of children in Naggaroth, with captured high elves women. This doesn’t fix the dark elves numbers however it does slightly alleviate the negative numbers a tiny bit.

There are fewer and fewer outliers with each patch. That the majority of factions are now sitting in A & B tier is a good sign. A few more tweaks and balance passes and the MP will be in a really good place.

death night becomes more plausible if we make some additional assumptions about it: it's supposed to be the witch elves doing it mostly. the dark elves have a class society with numerous slaves. the slaves are the most likely targets of death night. it seems unlikely that death night is claiming significant numbers of people that are capable of defending themselves; it's about murder, not combat. the witch elves are supposed to rove around in bands, so it's not clear that they each need to personally kill someone at a 1:1 ratio. it could be many witch elves all participating in the ritual murder of fewer people than the number of witch elves. it is not clear just how much blood the witch elves need to rejuvenate themselves. and many of those killed might be abducted high elves or other slaves. since the main target of death night would be the powerless, and the powerless are largely property of more powerful dark elves, those more powerful dark elves have a good reason to try to at least limit the numbers taken from their own holdings if not prevent it altogether. just because murder is legal does not mean that there aren't situations of successful deterrence. so we might assume that death night mostly targets weaker households and that its terror outstrips its material impact: even just a small amount of annual ritual murder is pretty scary, after all. it could even be the case that dark elf households could use death night as a way to discipline their slaves and servants, choosing to protect some and let others be taken. we might further assume that witch elves have some inclination of who it is more damaging to dark elf society to kill, and choose their targets accordingly (if for no other reason than that they will want the stock available to be murdered to grow rather than decline). they might even prefer killing men just as a matter of taste. either or both being the case, there would be less impact on the reproductive capacity of their society than we might otherwise expect. similarly, low status free dark elves would have a reason to become corsairs if only to avoid being present during these death nights, instead raiding far off shores from a black ark, and thereby bringing more slaves home to eventually be murdered. or as breeding stock to produce more (among other things) murder victims.

Ogres being in C breaks my heart, but I get it. Hopefully the DLC gives them more tools to deal with more of their hard-counters. RIP Norsca.

Chaos is worse. Much, much worse imo. Druchii have at least something going for them, but Chaos is just "infinite death metal vikings + demons". Yeah, /whatever. Their themes of corruption are super interesting, but the realization is really, but really 14y old. Druchii aren't far behind tbh. But Chaos is the worst.

Chorf's roster is just so so limited and generally overcosted (especially the hob goblins). Worthy bottom tier.

What I get after listening to the video: The plot makes no sense and advances only based on stupidity. The characters do not engage in a believable way and ignore things they should know. The only one who has an excuse is the protagonist because it's clear that his mind has been magically altered, but when everyone else is just as stupid it doesn't mean anything. Alith Anar is absent from the kind of situation where he should be absolutely present. The author was too horny when he wrote. Alarielle was using Heart of Averlorn in that novel. The destruction of the Black Ark makes no sense and I don't think they work like that in the lore or that are moved by monsters, I remember the black arks are moved and kept afloat by black magic, are floating mountains, rock icebergs with a fortress-city carved into them, a dragon can't move that. As seems to be usual on Malekith's part, the invasion plan is to crash head-on into one of the High Elves' largest fortifications. Fortifications created specifically to repel the druchii. To be fair this doesn't just happen in novels. The author is a big fan of 3:1 apparently. There are as many Eldar as the plot demands, I think a Black Library author said it. That is to say, the numbers do not make sense and lack coherence from one work to another. Everyone in Ulthuan is supposed to receive military training as a spearman or archer, so the whole scene of Alarielle sending poets to die is doubly absurd and ridiculous.
