Demons played better but HE build should've won if piloted better. Wasted winds tempesting summon, barely any dragon healing, running off to solo soul grinder towards the end with caster lord, throwing away the fireborn in a 3v1, etc.
The whole point of life magic is the fact of how broken it is and it wasn't really used.

Oof holding back on healing as much as they did really punished the high elves in this one I think.

Shame the HE player misplayed so many times that it gave the demons a chance to comeback even with its off-meta build.
Wow exalted flamers suck ass. Waystalker used it nearly perfectly and it still didn't get a great amount of value. Considering how easy they are to counter damn.
Were these things changed? Mandela Effect maybe but I swear at launch they cleaned up a lot better.
Yeah they got that vortex effect added to their attacks in a recent patch.
Has anyone figured out whose alt Waystalker is?
Anyhow exalted flamer has the same issue that magma cannon has. The vortexes do most of the damage and it's super unreliable to get the swivel right. In the best case scenario they instantly rout an infantry unit, but more often than not they just miss the main shot and the vortexes just clip the formation a little.
