I like to think that the tears revived him because of not just his bond with Pikachu, but also the bonds formed by the other pokémon and the sadness they all felt.
I feel your pain… there one scene in the black and white anime where ash almost falls off a cliff and I’m like why can’t Meloetta use psychic?! But no… instead Pikachu has to pull ash up… and that isn’t the only time! There are several more times Meloetta could’ve used psychic but they settle for something random instead! It’s sooo annoying…
Also, question: How does Ash, a ten year old boy, manage to die MORE TIMES than an undead 106 year old man who got crushed in a suit, yet still lived?

Considering in Pokémon Journeys Ash was able to hear Lugia talk, and sensed Riolu's aura in a couple of episodes I'd make it a safe bet that Ash does have some sort of power, but due to him being a bit dense and oblivious he doesn't realize he can do certain things that others can't and is most likely why he lacks the ability to use them properly or connect with it.

We all wanna talk about how Ash has been 10 for over 20 years but no one wants to talk about how amazing he has been able to stay alive at 10 for over 20 years. The amount of times he gets hit by a Pokémon’s move, and the amount of times he managed to pull off life or death situations, it’s amazing he managed to keep himself alive all this time.
To be fair, Team Rocket gets hit even more times and crashed and exploded their vehicles countless more. No normal human would survive that either. And they haven't aged either.
Since some game lore heavily implies that people are Pokémon, this kind of makes sense. People's stats are just as good as those of other Pokémon. Their moveset is pretty abysmal though.

1:28 Actually, the chandelier doesn't kill them. What happens is that since there's electricity inside of chandeliers and Pikachu is an electric type, Pikachu's power connects with the chandelier's electricity which causes his knocked out self to use an electric attack on them, which electrocutes Ash and Pikachu.

So, technically he died 5 times. One was a remake of one already on the list, and the other was more of a near-death. Still, it's good to know that Revives work on humans as well as Pokemon in that world.

Besides the 7 moments in the video there are also moments where Ash was very close to being unalived. One example is the movie where Mewtwo goes against a Genesect and Ash steps between them. There were also moments with basically every legendary Pokemon where he nearly died. Ash is a very sturdy and stubborn kid and the fact that he has lasted so long is a shock to many.

In the movie: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, Ash is told to have limited control or feel over aura, like Sir Eric, a knight and the master of the Lucario in the movie from way in the past. We don’t see it as much after the movie, but I think it has been addressed a few times.
Also, yeah, it’s a running gag by now for Ash to get electrocuted by Pikachu. It’s gotten to the point when he does it to wake Ash up, it doesn’t phase him or he just goes right back to sleep.

I have many nitpicks with your video:
- Ash from movie 20 is not the same Ash as the one from the anime, it's already confirmed this Ash is following his own timeline regardless of the events of the main anime. His death can't be counted along main Ash's deaths or at the very least, it should be clarified.
- Ash from Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution movie is alledgedly also in the same case as events are depicted differently from the original first movie. It's possible for him to be the same alternate Ash from movie 20.
- With the Lavender Town episode, it's unclear whether Ash was dead or just knocked out. However, i'd stick to knocked out because being dead would mean his heart wouldn't restart beating when his soul went back into his body. Another way to look at it is to consider Pikachu went also through the same treatment. I guess you meant that since their souls were out of their bodies, this should technically be counted as a death but i mean, if your body is still alive, it means you haven't died either ; you're just in a coma state.
- Same can be told with Victini's and Manaphy's movies. He was close to death but not actually dead.
Mewtwo strikes back evolution does not take place in the same timeline as I choose You. Ash never traveled with Misty and Brock, and since he has Squirtle and Bulbasaur, it is assumed it is a similar timeline to the main anime, only with a few differences.

I think we forgot the Battle of Baby Mewto and adult Mewto. Ash wanted to stop the fight between them so he went inside the middle of the mewto's blasts, causing him to turn into a stone sculpture. The cries of all the books mom there brought ash back, so technically he did die for a bit. Tell me what y'all think. It is also relatable that whenever a Pokemon series end is is very sad and can make people cry.

- Plot twist -
Since birth, Satoshi was secretly taken to Dr Fuji's lab. Experiments were done that I could speculate on two possibilities.
- Either he's a human half- Pokémon who must have been a test subject in a lab that could last for so long without aging or being killed by so many methods.
- Or he might be one of his clones since Dr Fuji is specialised in cloning in different regions (Johto, Kanto, Hoen, Sinnoh, etc...) during different periods which might explain why he doesn't age. Probably the original one died then a clone was replaced.
- Or maybe because the Pokémon World itself is blessed by some divine powers which is why their lifespans are longer than Earth or no one ages whether it is Satoshi, Kasumi, Takeshi, Haruka, Masato, Hikari, Airisu, Serena, Citron, Dent, Eureka, Hanako, Shigeru, Kenji, Maria (Mutiny in the bounty), Hiroshi, Nozomi, etc... even Team Rocket. They can still die not by age. Some for instance -
- Latios, Lucario died.
- J presumably died when her airship sank into the ocean.
- Aron died to protect Lucario and Rin too.
- King of Pokélantis.
- Woodate (Episode - Celebrating the Hero's Comet)
- Haruto (Episode The distant blue sky)
I'm sure there are others, but I just came up with that thought.

honestly i know people hate it but the one that made me cry was in the movie i choose you, i feel like that movie was absolutely made for thenolder generation, when Ash gives is iconic Pallet town speech from the pilot and in the movie the first time he turns his hat around is right before he dies, and the emtion of pikachu seeing his spirit and the hat float down and he gives one last "pika?" 😢 and puts the hat down over his silhouette as he fades away, he did everything to protect pikachu, and when pikachu final reveals after 20 years why he never got in his pokeball hit deep. people complain about pikchu talking but he wasn't actually talking it was a near death hallucination from Ash, the whole scene was directed perfectly and once Ash died Pikachu unleashed an electric shock so hard it even stunned the legendary Pokémon shifting their perspectives on humans

Greninja, Lucario) to be frankly honest hes basically a prodigy.

Since battles in Pokémon are rarely getting over entertainment, the use of blood would be in a way excessive ; and i'm not even talking of how damaging it would be for the Pokémon franchise as a whole (using creatures to fight for you is already controversial enough as it is ; putting blood on top of it would be terminating the franchise and probably dealing a crushing blow to the genre).
