This is my first time hearing of it. I'm guessing a lot of people who experience ace or aro jump are probably either unaware of all aroace terms or think that the momentary aro/ace feelings aren't long enough for the more common aro/ace labels and so they ignore it because they don't know that jump exists

I've looked it up, but can't find a lot of personal "I do/did identify as ace-jump and this is why/how it feels/etc" type stories or explanations.

I’m glad you added alterous attraction. I’ve recently been using this cause I experience my romantic attraction a little differently than most.
I'm also demisexual and demiromantic. We really need to spread more awareness about certain labels and identities on the aroace spectrum and videos like this help a lot in achieving that (^ ^)/💕

i feel like demiromantic attraction doesn't get talked about a lot, so i'm glad it was talked about here. as a demiromantic myself, i've always thought it was "normal" to not experience romantic attraction to someone after way later because that's always felt right to me. then i found out stuff like blind dating and speed dating exists and i'm still recovering from the sheer flabberghastment of the mere concept of that style of dating,,, so _weird...._
anyway! glad it was talked about, and also really interested in learning more about the aro/ace spectrum!!
Please don't forget Apothisexual and Apothiromantic and Apothi Aro Ace ! Though underated the communities are still under Aro, Ace and Aro Ace !
This videos explainations has made me confident in my identity. I was always second guessing my feelings about certain things but this helped me click with what I've probably known was right all along and questioned way more than nessicary. So many people don't talk as much about the other forms of attraction and how they compare to romantic and sexual attraction though and I must thank you for doing so!

Angled aroace is someone who is both aro and ace spectrum and deems their attraction significant enough to label alongside their aroace identity. For example, someone being greyromantic and demisexual could identify as gay if their attraction is homosexual.
I want to correct you on a couple labels: aceflux, aroflux, and aroaceflux.
-flux means that it goes between 100% attraction (allo) to 0% attraction (aro/ace/etc)
Centrispec is when you are fluid between aspec identities. For example, being ace one day, then demi, and cupio, then allo. You can also be multiple at once, like demi- and fray- (maybe because you are demi towards girls and gray towards guys, or a different reason).
So while -flux can only fluctuate between allo-, a-, or gray-, centrispec can be fluid between any aspec identities.

I don’t mean to be ‘mean’ by correcting you. I’m just sad many people misuse -flux and most people who better fit centrispec (like me) call themselves -flux because of the common incorrect definition. I am also salty that I’m one of the few people who know the distinction.

Hi! Loved the video, but I had a thought I wanted to share.
01:25 Maybe you already know this, but the whole thing about the sunset flag's creator "being problematic" is just because they support m-spec people who think their sapphic identity is particularly important or relevant to their experience, and so choose to label themselves m-spec lesbians. Ex: bi lesbians or pan lesbians. (Sapphics who might not even be "attracted to men" as some exclusionists claim, but only non-binary people also.)
Personally I don't believe in policing anyone's identity in that way, so I don't believe they've done anything wrong. But if you already knew that and still think the creator's problematic for it… feel free to carry on, I guess.

I still don't get why the creator of the sunset-colored aroace flag is problematic just because he isn't a gatekeeper and supports mspec. It just just shows that people don't understand that there are multiple ways of experiencing attraction and he acknowledges it. The only problematic thing about the flag is that the design is too close to the apartheid South Africa flag (which is in fact a good reason to not use it).

Thanks for posting this!So, I'm an I aroace, and I never thought I was on the aro spec till, like, a week ago. I've been in two relationships and have had three "crushes." The thing is, I knew what crushes were, and I did genuinely like those people, but in a different way. I would always want to be near them, and I'd want stuff like cuddles and hugs. But I'd never want to kiss or have intercourse with them. I just think it's disgusting. So, I basically knew I was 100% asexual, but I wasn't sure for aromatic. Again, I'd always want to he around those boys and to talk to them. I'd think about them a lot. But then I realized I did the same exact thing with those people to my friends. Then I made some connections, and realized that those "crushes" were really just those people gaining my trust and me wanting them to treat me how I treat them. So, yeah, if people manage to win me over and befriend me, I'll get really attached to them, but not to the point of making out. This also works with fictional characters as well. I've never had a crush on a fictional character, but I've always been extremely emotionally attached to them. That might've been and early sign. Oh yeah, and just to mention, I do like romance in, like, books, series, movies, and stuff. I think it's cute, and I like seeing my favorite characters happy. But what I don't understand is how someone could go red faced if their crush walked by. I also, for some reason, only like romance in fictional stories. Irl, it's confusing. So, yeah, there's my mini existential crisis vent! 😅

something about the yellow and blue flag’s creator: they are NOT problematic, some people just complain that they are because they support mspec gay/lesbians and other good faith identities (which if you’ve done any length of research you would know they’ve existed for years and are valid) so i’m a bit ticked off about you stating they’re problematic. this video was months ago but might as well say this anyways and hope you at least bother reading this
Three months later but i’m at least reading it. I do support m-spec gays and lesbians, at the time I only knew people claimed the creator was problematic, not why, I should’ve done more research. I have done lengthy research, just not in the history of flags, I’m not a huge fan of history.

what kind of attraction for how the mind works? I’m assuming you’re talking about mental attraction. I couldn’t find a label for only experiencing mental attraction, but if you really want a label for it, you could make one yourself! I’ve made a few labels and I personally post them on Tumblr.

I couldn't tell whether I like-liked them, I'm new to this whole thing. But I realized I was just interested in their intellect, ie, how can I learn from this person, how the heck are they so smart kind of thing.

That blue aroace flag is the wrong one... And btw just bc someone problematic made a flag doesn't mean it's bad to use that flag. There's an alternative flag that has already existed, and it's a combo between the aromantic and asexual one, you'll fid it in Jaidan animation's "Being Not Straight" video. Oh! And also there's frayromantic/sexual, this is the opposite of demiromantic/sexual, I'm actually a Frayromantic AroAce, attraction forms when you don't really know someone, and fades away when you get to know the person.
