    Rio, you dont know what United are? as it looks different week to week?....I'll explain it from what I see.
    Last year, with the players we had and how we played, we were playing more like Ole football, counter attacking with pace, and that's why Rashford hit 30 goals & players like Bruno did well.
    This year, Ten Hag has brought in more players, and is trying to play a high press transition style with players like Rashford, Bruno, Garnacho, McT etc who cant 'play football' when we win the ball back high up the pitch, because they dont have the space to counter and run into, and this is also why the midfield is being overrun as he plays attacking midfielders in Bruno & McT.
    He is trying to play a new brand of football with players that suit last seasons style and the fact that he is not aware that this isn't working and adapting to this, its where the issues are.
    Rashford, Bruno, Garnacho, McT are poor when they have to hold onto the ball, keep possession high up the pitch and play through the opposition. They cant do it!
    So they lose the ball, then our midfield is cut through like butter, and it happens time and time again, its a mess. That's why you see us play better or more fluid when teams attack us and hold a high-line like Liverpool or Villa, but when we face teams we have to break down, we cant do it.

    • @thrilla72
      @thrilla72 Před měsícem +2

      New day, same old problem. We've been saying this about the team since Mourinho. Once we lost Zlatan who could hold up play and bring people in, we were done

    • @Stegibbon
      @Stegibbon Před měsícem

      You're actually just wrong to be honest. Last season we were one of the highest pressing teams and the problem this season is we've had no pacey centre backs all season so the high line is now a lot further back opening up the space in midfield. Get rid of Maguire, lindelof and Evans and sign 3 CBs with pace and the system will start working again. Basically we've had no Martinez all season and Casemiro and Varane have dropped off.

    • @martysmith2851
      @martysmith2851 Před měsícem

      @@Stegibbon No im not, we were not a high press high transition team last year, you are wrong. yes we played a bit higher up the pitch with Varane and Martinez but we were still breaking at pace from the midfield and Rashford running into space. Yes injuries have played a factor this season but the manager has tried to become a high press high transition team this year and we dont have the players for it, and he plays a single pivot in midfield and its being overrun. We can never get hold of the midfield and we cant break teams down when we play high up the pitch with our attack.

    • @Stegibbon
      @Stegibbon Před měsícem

      @@martysmith2851 no you misunderstand. I'm not stating an opinion here, we were STATISTICALLY one of the highest pressing teams in the league last year. Your assertion that we were counter attacking is an opinion and it's factually incorrect. I'm not gonna argue with you anymore about this because it would be insanity to do so. It is a fact.

    With Man Utd, you have to look at the players at this stage. We’ve talked about United not having an identity for the past 3 managers, all 3 can’t be bad managers ! The common denominators are the core of that team of Bruno, rashford, Maguire, lindelof, mctominay etc. we won’t achieve anything with any manager if this is the core. It’s a team of squad players and luxury players, you can’t build anything unless you have a core of good players with one or two luxury players who make the difference

      @Huwandahero Před měsícem +2

      @@jh4892 he’s not blameless at all, but what I’m saying is with this core of players you’ll never be able to play any kind of progressive football because simply put, they won’t run for you. People say they don’t know what ETH wants to do but he’s said many times, wants to be front foot pressing high and aggressively, you’ll never get that from these players. Which is why the only joy they get in counter attacking football, maybe he should adapt to that but I don’t see why he has to, to let these players off the hook again

He’s been on Salah’s and De Bruyne’s salary for years while not evening reaching Nani’s level. Optimises United when managers are sacked and we extend Rashford’s contract. And now, What message does it send to our younger players when they see Rashford not giving a shite yet still getting big money and extensions. It’s gotten to the point where if United sack ETH and keep Rashford on as a key player, I’m done following the club.

Also both teams absolutely mauling each other the whole game was great to see. Nothing over the top, nothing too dirty, and not too much extra ness after, but seeing them fouls and showing both teams will do whatever they got to is nice. Other teams need to grow a pair too
    Also Gabriel always looked so rash and like he can take somebody out in a heartbeat, but now he just looks so much more in control and it looks like straight domination now. Too much pace, too much strength, that duo is very scary

    Liverpool wanna perform due to Klopp leaving, and i would say that Liverpool has slightly easier fixtures then Arsenal.
    but City is looking weaker without Gundogan and Mahrez, so unless City gets some great quality into the team for next season, i do believe that Arsenal will win the PL next season.
    Also people who wanna criticise Haaland, has to simply be hating on him this season is Haaland`s only season in his career where he hasn`t matched or exceeded his expected goals, and also Haaland is a player who is better in a counter attacking system, City atleast this season doesn`t play in a way that takes advantage of Haaland`s strengths, also Saka the star-boy should be called the ghost boy after that City performance, the man was a ghost on the pitch.
