    Convinced me. I was debating between the PAM312 and the PAM422. The WR of 300m on the PAM312 vs the 100m on the PAM422 also tipped me in this direction. I was ok with automatic or manual wind, or 44mm or 47mm. Both amazing looking! Love the 1950 case design. Can't wait to take delivery of my PAM312.

    This is really one of the very few top Panerai watch reviews out there. Everything is very well researched and explained. Thank you for that. I myself have a Radiomir 380 and am currently saving up for either a 1320 or the 524.

    Excellent review! I keep going back and forth between 312 and 1312 myself. Think a bit more towards 1312 to have slimmer case profile. Glad you enjoying your watch. You really helped in making my decision towards panerai.

    This is pretty damn good review mate. Thank you.
    I've been in love with Panerai for a long time. That brand pretty much brought me to "luxury" level watches. The 5000 and 9000 movements are pretty damn impressive.
    I'm undecided between the 560, the 312 and the 389.

    • @5minutewatchreview469
      @5minutewatchreview469  Před 7 lety +4

      Thanks. Yeah, tough choices there. I need a date, so the 560 Base wouldn't work out for me. The Submersibles are damn cool, but I love the look of the 1950 case personally. Now... if they would have had a Carbotech in stock, I might have gone that way...

    I've got the pam 531 GMT
    Purchased the 531 for the same reason as you, the movement. Mine has the power indicator in the window. Also the GMT. price from the factory $9,000.
    These are the best watches I've owned, and I own several. Great video.

    Great video. All that you said - I agree. However, there one version that is more satisfying OVER the time than iconic 312/1312...it is 1539. With numerical face, it makes the beast more elegant, more rare. Sophisticated.

  • @Mister19Eleven

    Thanks for the informative and detailed video. I just got the PAM1321. Thats the P9012 movement. Dunno if you have any experience with that but I wanted to ask if you have ever heard of where you pulled the crown out completely to set the time, the seconds hand resets and hacks but when done and you pushed the crown back in, the watch is not running and the balance is still locked?
    Have you also had it heard where the seconds did not reset to zero but was a few seconds off like at 58 or so? I had these things happen yesterday and it took several tries of trying to set the time for it to finally work. So far time keeping is good but I hope there was no damage caused and there was no manufacturing defect, especially with a brand new watch. Thanks.

    I'm taking a hard look at Panerai (PAM1312) and loved your review. Quick question: How do you find the watch to be in everyday wear? For instance, being mindful of handwashing and showers with a leather or suede strap? Do you find yourself switching to the rubber strap every time you get wet?

      Those are the same two I've been debating. Finally landed on the 312 because of the brushed finish and the 300m WR (vs all polished and 100m of the 422)... Was was cool with either an automatic or handwind movement. Both watches are amazing looking, but it ended up the 312 for me. Did you get one?

    I own this. I find the in-house movement is not very robust, the crown is hard to catch the groove to change date vs time. It has been serviced once and I use this watch sparingly. I tried to like it but I’m just concerned about the movement. I love the look though

    While this quick release strap change system is indeed "quick", why not just have drilled lugs and push them to release? Just like old 5-digit Rolex sport watches. What's the benefit of having the little button to push?
