Di you got lil pimples rash on the area of botox..this is my 2nd time after a year to see if I'm allergic but I got lots of tiny pimples my forehead looks bad no wrinkles but with that allergic reaction..

Right! First time getting Dysport and I actually had to be the one to ask if there were any restrictions now that I’ve got this done. All they said was “stay upright for 4 hours, no napping.” That’s it. I would have thought an informational pamphlet would be a good idea so people don’t ruin their Botox/Dysport job!

There are no studies showing laying down after botox can cause drooping eyes. This is something doctors said way back in the day when botox was new for cosmetic use
While I love to take an evidence-based approach whenever possible, I also rely on clinical experience and candid conversations I have with my colleagues. I have heard of enough cases of ptosis that happened to correspond with the patient lying flat that I take a better safe than sorry approach. It’s all about a risk/benefit ratio, and in this case, staying upright for a generous window (4 hours) is probably overly cautious but easily justifiable to minimize any possible risk.
There are many things that studies don’t correlate but you have to understand who is funding the studies, who stands to lose from certain studies and how many studies are stoped or people drop out due to unfavorable results. My dads a doctor and he has many cases and correlations that he has seen over his 47 years of practice that aren’t in studies because drug companies wouldn’t benefit from said studies or there isn’t enough interest in that area of research. He also relies on his colleagues and his own experiences with patients to give solid advice about do’s and dont’s in his area of practice.
I used to Botox 15 yrs ago at multiple places they all said to massage 😳 thank god I never got the lid drooping

I got Botox 5 weeks ago. It looked fantastic for 2 weeks but I now have mobility back. Extremely bummed out that I spent that much money for 3 weeks of results.

My place says to come back before 14 days if you are not satisfied. They will add to those areas at a discount price, but not after 14 days. Yikes, mine usually last for 6-8 months.

Great video, I get botox for migraines. Not thinking I had cosmetic botox done then 2 weeks later had the medical botox. Because of the dilution for the medical botox, Poof, all the cosmetic botox gone.

@@devin7703 Actually it is, always do your migraine botox first. (It is diluted differently than cosmetic botox) wait a few weeks then do your cosmetic botox.
@@ef3438 dilution matters to the area and muscle it’s acting on only! botox for migraine , regardless of dilution or bc of dilution could never inactive other botox strength, it would only add to it. There is no anecdote for botox,so right there disproves your theory. I’m a long time injector so I’m quite experienced in this area!

Can you help me ? I got Botox for the first time 4 weeks ago , for my 11s. I went back after 2 weeks for Spock brow , then a week later she corrected the top of my forehead . Then , 2 days ago I started having a twitch in my lower lip and then slightly under my left eye while putting my make up on . It’s so weird ! Now my lip is driving me crazy this morning it won’t stop twitching ! I have a dr appt this afternoon but they don’t do Botox I’m not sure if it’s even connected what do you think? My masseter botox left me with a crooked smile almost bells palsy like face for like 6 months. When i called the esthetician twice she was like no worries it'll go back to normal in 3 weeks. Lol it didnt. Now ive got my normal smile back. But i wasnt happy at all. Ive slept on my back for 3 nights right after. I didnt touch my face or anything. But needles werent in so deep , botox was applied too in the surface. Thats why i ended up havingg a crooked smile. Even though i still clench my jaw at nite, i wont ever get it again.

Ok I need help lol I posted two. week ago. I got disport between my eyebrows for that huge line that I have so I went for my follow up appointment today and she added a couple more units and the line is still there. She has me coming back next week again does this seem normal? I’m only 41 with not that many wrinkles I just have that huge line in between my eyebrows above my nose I don’t know if she’s just trying to limit how much dysport she’s using to save money. Hi I have a question. I’ve had a little bit of Botox in my sternocleidomastoid muscles for neck pain but it is now understood that the muscles is actually weak, causing the problems in the neck. So now I have to strengthen it. Will Botox not allow strengthening and disable the muscle? Thanks you 🙏🏼
Nurse here. Not a derm, but I do know some about muscles (I do orthopaedics) and can try to help. So Botox paralyzes the muscles. Which is why it’s so great for wrinkles, it paralyzes your muscles so that you can’t use them, thus… eliminating the wrinkles. The same would be the case for your neck. Over time, your muscles become “trained” in a way to contract less. Which is why a lot of people need less Botox after several rounds of it. But as far as muscles, yes, you would need to strengthen them, because what’s happening is they are paralyzed and thus, not contracting like they normally would, and your muscles need to contract in order to gain mass.
