    You earned a lot of respect from me not just from his envolvement in the community as well as putting with these stupid people hating that he played for team canada just because the colour of skin and that's what you can love about him especially his personality and being good leader as personal for a team he should be a captain.

      I feel bad too. Subban was the heart and soul of the Canadiens and a great player to watch. It will be weird to watch him wear yellow instead of the tricolore jersey. I hope he gets a standing ovation the day he comes back to the Bell Centre.

      yeah but i feel like it's a slap to the face of P.K. because he was the icon of the Canadiens, except for Price, but he always gave his best on the ice and made the games exciting. He was a fan-favorite and played in his favorite team growing up. I think he didn't deserve to be traded because he was one of the major faces of our franchise from the last 20 years. In the end I wish him the best for his future in Nashville and I hope he makes Bergevin and Therrien feel bad!

      Another overrated Montréal Canadians player. He is a defensive liability, that is why he was traded. We all saw what happened without Cary Price there to bail them out. Montréal fans think every player on their team is an all star

      Leaside 4 Don't act like it was just a one off incident. The Flyers fanbase are a trashy bunch, and game 3 proved it. The organization hasn't grown out of their "Broadstreet Bullies" mentality. And that's why they've been perpetual losers since '76.

    subban was one of my favourite players. I remember going to see my very first habs game and he scored a hat trick that game. I remember standing outside the Bulls locker room waiting for him to come out so I could get his auto graph. subban has always someone I look up too since he started his rookie year in Belleville. although I hated the Bulls. he was Mt favorite, P.k will be the player that gets cheered when he touches the puck in the Bell Centre, I hope that at the end of his career Montreal retires his number and put his name and number in the sky

      as much as Subban was to Montreal I think Price is your heart and soul...PK played and Price was hurt and look at the season. with a Healthy Price and a beast mode Weber be a pretty hard team to play against/score on. Before.. teams had to stop there offence PK...Pac...Gall..in the defense zone teams had to think on how to beat Price...This year yes teams need to shutdown the offence but for the first time in a long time teams need to not only think on how to beat Price but they need to get around Weber first. Good traded for both teams. PK is going to Nashville were Nashville will be "HIS" team which will be good for him and Nashville. For Montreal its Price's team and the window to win a cup with Price is closing but if I was a Team or even Price for that matter I would want a Weber type D for hard...long playoff minutes Weber is the man! On that note glad Weber is out east now I think the west can handle PK pretty good. Out east now teams get to handle beast mode Weber and what he is all about! Enjoy Weber Montreal won't take long for you Fans to fall in love with him...he's a heart and soul guy too! with leadership that can't be tought.

      That's the stupidest analogy I've seen. Which one of the player do you think sucks? Both are top tier dmen in the league. The only reason why this is a "bad" contract is because of what's gonna happen in 5-6 years when Weber is too old. Which is also not really an issue because MTL can just dump the contract to a team like Coyotes (if they are still around) who struggles to meet the cap floor.

    • @Kebabscout

    It is such disgusting BS that people will turn a $10M charitable donation into something ridiculous instead of thanking the man for what he just contributed. How many athletes in Canada do the same thing? I'll be hard pressed to think of one active athlete in Canada that has donated that much to any charitable donation especially something as pure as for the benefit of a children's hospital.

    This is a terrific interview; this guy is for real. No team trades their top defenseman, especially when he's also their most popular player and a huge draw both at the gate and in sales of team paraphernalia (50%).
    It don't matter what they got for him really, the issue is why. If there are issues in the club house, you work things out; it's nothing new.
    It all started when the Habs chose Max Pacioretti for captain. Pacioretti is not captain material, never will be. PK knows that, we all know that but yet they persisted. It was a slap in the face to PK and it went downhill from there. Therrien threw him under the bus later last year and that was it; a "Down goes Frazier" moment.
    Therrien will be gone by January and Pacioretti will be traded in March 2017. You've been warned. ;)

    Pure class, and one of the best hockey players I've seen in my lifetime. So tired of crappy Therrien and Bergevin... They tore this team apart...Most pathetic management since Tremblay and Houle. Nashvile you will love P.K. He's a rock. Mange d'la marde Therrien. Crisse de vieux debile.

    P.K.'s great when he covers the basics and play it calm while still intense, and this interview is great, but when the games are too much or in the after game interviews, he's a hothead, he takes penalties, he makes stupid plays or makes comments very unpleasant to teammates. The dream in Mtl was that he would grow a bit, become a leader but he was sort of the same manchild on the ice at 27, and that's where Weber will greatly improve the Habs.

      if Subban got the C, he would probs act more mature, knowing his actions have an even bigger impact. him not getting treated right by the coaching staff didn't help at all with his childlike behavior.

    This dose not seem right to mean you just can't have PK subban on another team then the Habs just kinda ruins hockey a little bit dose not feel right at all.

      No. He didn't sell out like Kevin Durant. When they call his name during line-up announcing, it's going to be a standing ovation just like Saku Koivu.

    Gionta, Bourque, Briere, Vanek, Tinordi, Sekac, a whole bunch of prospects, Tokarski, Budaj(meh, only had 1 or maybe 2 good years left in him), ruined Condon, ruined prospects, Gorges, Subban, Eller, what next? Price, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Pacioretty.....that's all we have left. Beaulieu soon will be good. so we can trade him then. we can just tell Plekanec to go to Czech and Markov to the khl because we don't need them. lets make sure Bergevin and Therrian stay for a long time tho.

      @stop6578 Před 8 lety

      tokarski was a legend in the 2014 season my goodness. He made so many good saves its ridiculous they dont have this guy in their starting lineup. Bergevin better not f things up more than they are.

      @davfernape Před 8 lety

      +Pablo Rodriguez tokarski got traded last season I believe. That's why he isn't in their starting line up. Honestly backup goalies that get chucked into the nhl too fast always get ruined. They need to be gradually brought in

      +adamJcarter Briere when he played was a stud, even till his retirement season! Vanek is a beast for the wild and Gorges brought more to the locker room then his play but he still stood up for teammates, Eller and Bourque were still young and actually beasts in playoffs. I mean, it was a team that had a really good chance to win the cup if Carey didn't get injured. I understand, sometimes moves to be made. But SOOO many were complete garbage moves. Trading for fourth liners and poor player management was just frustrating. And most of these players didn't even reach max potential.

    This sure should help with that massively over-inflated ego. Why does everybody act like P.K is better than Weber? Weber is twice the defender that Subban is. Weber doesn't turn the puck over by trying to skate trough the entire team, like Subban does. While also managing to put up the same amount of points last year as Subban, not to mention 14 more goals. Weber has scored 15+ goals 9 times, Subban has done it once, and has scored 20+ goals 3 times, which Subban has yet to do. Weber has put up 8 40+ point seasons and 3 50+ point seasons over the last 10 years. Subban has only broken the 40 point mark 3 times in the last 6 years. By the age of 27, Subban's current age, Weber had; scored 15+ goals 5 times (Along with one magnificent 23 goal season), broke the 40 point mark 5 times, and the 50 point mark once. By any and all standards Weber is empirically the better player. Nashville have, in one move, increased the likelihood of shorthanded breakaways happening against them and severely weakened their defensive ability.

      webber played 78 games had a -7 rating 51 points
      subban played 68 games + 4 rating 51 points
      webber had rinne and went to the second round of the playoffs in a game 7 against the sharks and he was a no show
      subban did not have price for the whole season and did all he could to bring that team into the playoffs he had to setup everybody so they could score
      and webber does not need to carry the puck that often since he had a bunch of talent around him
      subban was the only talent in montreal and has been to two conference finals
      with webber he did not need to make the big plays at all time
      subban when the game was on the line we all knew he would be the one making the play
