what i did was take a nail file to the nubs on the satin tower until you reach the desired ease of opening( nubs= the four little pimples on each corner. don't over due it or it'll come apart too easily. But I prefer 3d printing a deck box that uses a top loader as the lid so i can see all my commanders on the shelf as i make my deck selection.
Never opened a Boulder like that, but I have struggled with these once in a while. Thanks for showing it.

BCW Prisms are the best bang for your buck commander deck box.

Great review. The Ultimate Guard Boulder holds 100 double sleeved cards, but will no longer have room for tokens.

i got a lot of ultimate guard deck boxes but have switched over to the bcw prism boxes since they are easier for me to find and the only difference between the 2 is ones a top loader and the other is a side loader.
as for the clear box you showed with the clear divider card i would just bend the tab down to level out the box when it closes. it stil does its function of dividing.
For me, double sleeve is not a "may" ability. I always do it for more protection. If somebody spills their drink ur deck gonna be good. And the second reason its for the foil cards. They need double sleeve to stops the curling. 😊

i mostly have so many tokens in my deck boxes that there is no room to pringle othere than that i do double up on commanders but prefer nonfoil cards because of curling.
There is no BCW deckbox&sleeve yet on my country😅
Boulder can barely hold 100 double sleeves but I would not recommend it at all

That is not how you open a satin tower/cube. You put your hands at the base and use your thumbs to push the top section of the deck box.
You still have to flip it around to get the other side but once the top part of the box is free from all four “nubs”, it comes right off.
