“On average” is such a misleading phrase when reporting statistics, because “average” is just any of several different measures of central tendency. Assuming that 1.05% is exact, it’s about a 64% chance to get at least one in 96 picks. (1-0.0105)^96 ≈ 0.363 (chance to not get one), so 1 - 0.363 = 0.637 ≈ 64%.

i understand it in a casual setting and i think you should play with what you want but with my friends ots all about the combos; how does my deck win as fast as possible and they encoureged me to use revel in riches in my pirate deck. play how you want to play everybody has theirown tastes

Talrand is great. I recommend adding Candlekeep Inspiration as a finisher, it can get crazy with all the drakes. Also, instants and sorceries with flashback are great because you get two tokens out of them. Octavia, Living Thesis and Alandra, Sky Dreamer are two other great addictions that are a budget friendly.

Just saying just because you buy 96 packs packs doesn't mean it's guaranteed every pack could not have a lotus because 1.05 % doesn't mean if you buy enough to get 100% that you'll get it lmao

Im sorry to inform you, but that inference is incorrect from a statistical point of view. Since the events are independent, meaning the pulls from one box do NOT interfere in the pulls of the other boxes, the chances of getting a black lotus is still the same, therefore, 1.05% for each of those packs. Nonetheless, opening 96 packs does not guarantee you a black lotus, you are just repeating the chance of 1.05% 96 times.

I love the idea of parnesse, but failed to build a deck around it that plays the politics playstyle i want it to have. It just degenerated into an izzet spellslinger deck that copies draw+treasure spells and completely takes over the game in a single turn. I think it's my most successful deck and i mostly don't cast parnesse because no one wants to make deals with me anymore... even after i swapped out cards like thousand year storm and storm king's thunder Electrodominance into swarm intelligence end of turn won me so many matches haha I am currently rebuilding it as a token deck like you mentioned and hope it does the thing i want it to do now

In your additional combat phase, do you get to declair what creatures attack again ? And do the creatures keep the damage from.the previous combat ?

That card is just busted. That’s why it’s 9 mana. If you all gave your friend 4 turns and kami was out, that’s 8 draw steps to get a fattie to plop into play. If kami wasn’t out then I guess yeah give them the turns and hope they whiff.

My erinis and candlekeep sage is an absolute blast. Its a simic self mill deck that also has some landfall stuff going on. Its so fun. Its also got kergua as a companion cause i wanted this deck to be my “3 commander commander deck”, and while it looks like a meme…. By turn 7-8 i tend to run out of basics in deck to search for (i run 19)

I don't think Torbrann works in the Erinis deck. It has to be a red source and I believe Street Urchin gives the ability to Erinis which means that its a green source doing the damage unfortunately

So, I really need to recommend Rapacious One in Erinis/Street Urchin. 5/4 trample Eldrazi that makes spawns on dealing combat damage. It gets blocked? Shoot the blocker with your commander and get 5 spawns to shoot more things with. I built that deck so jank, super low mana curve, but I did eventually buy a few cards for it and Rapacious One was one of them. Such a fun deck, especially if you only hit the worst threats but let people still play the game.
