Talrand is great. I recommend adding Candlekeep Inspiration as a finisher, it can get crazy with all the drakes. Also, instants and sorceries with flashback are great because you get two tokens out of them. Octavia, Living Thesis and Alandra, Sky Dreamer are two other great addictions that are a budget friendly.

Talrand is my favorite commander.
i have a Odric deck already and it is very fun just one thing with your build i would not put in and that is a arcane signet since its a mono color deck there is no need for mana color fixing and maybe add another creature like "Skrelv, Defector Mite" it a 3 dollar card and for 1white everything will get toxic or "baneslayer angel" another 3 dollar card but you get protect from demons and dragons as well as flying , first strike and lifelink tho it is 3 and 2white and is not bad to play until you get your indestructible cards out.
Low cost mana rocks like arcane signet are considered ramp like sol ring in mono colored decks and the additional clause of coming in untapped helps.
Odric only passes the keywords listed on the cards. Protection from dragons/demons will not pass to the other creatures
I find Adeline or Myrel easier to build than Odric since you kinda just need to build your board and keep pushing damage to win or just lose lol
I just pulled an Odric card in my last pack! Having run Vampiric Bloodline and Spirit Squadron only as a new player (i fw Innistrad too much), i was anxious as to tackling building a deck around a character like him. This makes me feel a bit better about trying it!
