I want to share a funny and irritating story about making this film. After a long weekend of shooting I came home feeling very exciting just to see all the footage is deleted. Some kind of error on the disk removed 95% of the work we have done. I was able to bring some of the data but not all. So I had to make a decision; Either I was going to re-shoot everything which was not convenient because I didn't have time or resources or I was going to make something out of what I wast left with.
So the movie you are watching has nothing to do with the movie we intended to make. Hope you enjoy it anyway.

It's an exception, I mean the lady wise 😉 enough to run out of the house on first sign of a creeping figure.....very much unlike a normal horror story characters where they keep around in search of the spooky instead of the other way. A story worth a sequel ✨️

Ahh, so sorry, this is the most annoying thing tthat could happen to an artists, i have experienced something similar, I know how it feels.

The cinematography, the soundings, the location all are just perfect! But need it full, coz something is still clouded, need to be clear. However, the armchair moving suddenly, the spooky figure and the horrible sound after entering into the house were really chilling. She's damn brave to get into a house which is related to multiple mysterious deaths.
You know that your cell phone is useless when you drop it on the grass, and it breaks 😅

It's not easy making any type of movie but this came out fine so don't feel bad this was more than OK I enjoyed it alot and I hope that you will make more movies wheather it be horror ( my personal favorite ) or a disaster movie ( my second favorite) or a romantic comedy a family film whatever hope to see more of your films keep up the great work truly enjoyed this it's just two bad this wasn't a two hour film thanks again for posting

I really enjoyed the plot, but I feel like the story would have felt more believable if they had just spoken in their native language. The ESL was detractive from the whole thing.
If this is what you have leftover to work with then the full video must have been amazing. I really loved the atmosphere, story was great and can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I just read about your pinned comment on what happened with your data. That explained the abrupt start but I gotta tell you, this story was great!! Even if it wasn’t fully what you may or may not have intended, I absolutely loved it! It’s this story that got me initially hooked. I came back here to add the comments. Hahahahahhah! They were talking about past house owners, murders snd everything and the lady is in a dark room, making some stories? I don't trust brave people like her because they end up dead when the movie is finished
Hahah at least this time she survived.
When writing horror, working in the dark can be inspirational...especially in a place where tragedy happened. I'd have my back against the wall though. Ain't nobody/nothing sneaking up on me🙃.
Great work, I really liked the way the beauty of the location and the attractiveness of the house itself are eroded by the disturbing events, which also eroded the woman's confidence in handling things herself. Yes please, a sequel is definitely needed. By the way, I noticed that she was drinking wine from a cask (as we call a wine bag in a box), it was invented here in Australia. Looking forward to Lake House 2 - especially as I have my suspicions about the man and where he is driving her to.

It was interesting to create a total new story from what's left of a deleted data. We would actually love to shoot a remake of this movie with a longer and clearer version.

Yellow Tail is a nice drop but really, we are blessed here in Australia when it comes to wines, even the cleanskins (no brand name, just a label with grape variety/region/year) are quality.@@JessicaMcGowan-bu4ls

Man thats scarey waking up and walking pass two chairs only to not know u just walked pass a ghost in one of them. And i donr get it why she creeped all the way down stairs and locked herself up in there with whatever was in that house 😂😂🤦🏾♀️ and after dude told her about the house she should've left! 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️

Great Halloween scare. What a beautiful area, a lake house! Always wanted one but don't want to be up s---t creek like she is. I agree with the comments that for once you saw a character do the sensible action and not go back into the house with an intruder at the window but the driver who picks her up? Not my idea of an 'ok person' like we teach kids. The voice "get in" , the driver's face did not help either. I guess she was between a rock and a hard place. 2 scenes that creeped me out - the rocker, oh no, oh no, and of course that figure in the window. Her husband/partner was right. Can't get much work done there. Loved it.

Very atmospheric! Even though I'm sorry you lost a lot of the material, its actually refreshing to see a short-horror film that 'cuts out the extraneous'. Sometimes the starts of them are sooo slow that it seems like filler. This works quite well as is. The ending though, I had a question: Why is the woman SO calm when encountering her friend?? She doesn't say a word about nearly being attacked. Plus, is the long look the driver gives the camera.....a telling 'stare'? Is he a bad guy?
Thank you very much. The confusion is understandable. The missing footage forced me to change the story quite much.
In the original story that man was not supposed to be her friend. He was just a local creepy guy. That's why she is not very surprised seeing him.
The house was supposed to not exist. Locals did not build houses next to lake in that town because of superstitious beliefs. So only she could have see the house. And in the end he was seeing the house fading away from the mirror.

Having two sets of ads in a 12-minute horror film sort of ruined the immersion for me. That may not be your fault, so oh well.

I loved everything about this movie but the ending. The man in the car told the woman that he was coming up to the lake house. What am I missing, please? BTW; I really enjoyed the movie. Thank you for posting and I hope to see more from you!
Thank you. We are not happy with the ending either but that's mostly due to the lost footage.
In the original story the man was a local guy who was warning the woman about the house. And when he saw the the woman on the road he realized something terrifying happened.
We shot the facetime call later to change the story and tried to make some sense. So the man who said he was coming to home...he saw her on the way to home and realized the house is bad news.
I'm sorry but was this short horror film suppose to scare me!? well it didn't!
