I LOVED IT!!!
Moral of the story: if something seems too good to be true.. It probably is.
Nice film though
Thanks Irene for watching and commenting :-)
Well that flat is gonna b kinda crowded.👻👻👻....Nice film guys 👍
Cheers for watching. Yes, they'll have to get a rota for the washing up going :-)
Those two girls are going to get along just fine! Two best friends ... FOREVER!!
Absolutely - the ghost just wanted company. I’m not sure how the Estate agent will get on with them though. Thanks for watching.
Wish me the luck i'm gonna go to full screen😨😨😨
Hi Oz Runner - I am not that brave... Yet...
Creepy. With a little bit of karma at the end.
Loved it.
Thanks for watching, Michael. I appreciate the positive comments too.
Thanks for watching Michael!
These Women in these movies are so beautiful.
Thanks for watching David and commenting so positively. They are excellent actresses.
I don't think I could live in a place that has someone else's furniture in it... there's just something not right with that. What if the person had bed bugs or pissed all over the furniture?? Then your sitting in dry piss. Lmao!!!
Ha-ha! I know what you mean, although the new tenant ended up having bigger issues in this story. I think on inspection you can tell if a place has stained or piss-soaked furniture, but it's an interesting point you make. Thanks for watching!
"...and who's that behind you?" and then that's ME screaming and running away from the house as fast as I can!
Ha-ha! Yes! That was the emotion and reaction I was going for. Thanks for watching :-)
Oh, it was nothing. YOU imagined the ghost just like her friend.
@@yusefendure Ha-ha! Not sure you're getting that ghosts could be able to control how they appear to people :-)
I understood it the first time I saw it, and it still doesn't change the bland quality of this film. That idea of image shifting ghosts is so, so silly to me, and nothing in this film was scary. This script is played out. It's formulaic. Sorry, but this was a boring trope seen over, and over, and over again. Thanks for the effort though.
@@yusefendure Cheers Yusuf. As I said above I was going for something quite simple as it was my first directorial effort. I have written many scripts but hadn't directed. While it may be formulaic in your view, the decision was not to subvert a genre but make a film that can be enjoyed by fans of creepy horror or ghost stories. Sorry, I could not connect with you. So it goes. . .
I liked the ending a lot! Sometimes shorts just end abruptly and make no sense.
Thanks Natalie. Appreciate you watching and the positive comments.
Wow, the sound, the acting, the tension, that's a great job brother! You got my like!
Thanks very much, Jean. Definitely be checking out your work this week.
Great short... the real estate lady got what she deseves... love the over the shoulder jump scare
Thanks for watching - appreciate you taking the time to comment so positively 😀
Creepy! Dug that last shot
Cheers! Appreciate you watching and commenting so positively.
Short and good.
damn that's some angry tenants 😂
Sure is - thanks for watching 🙂
Why is the girl doing the haunting collecting the victims?
Thanks for watching.
I'd say it's two reasons. 1) Being a ghost has made her lonely so she wants company. 2) By causing the other people's death the idea is that their spirits remain in the place they passed away.
Unless you have another interpretation.
Now that's how you form a all-gal pop group these days!
Ha-ha! That's very funny. They could be called THE GHOSTS!
The Dead Chicks (instead of Dixie Chicks) or Ghoul Scouts
@@nelliesilvers1210 Ha-ha! Excellent suggestions :-)
@@FixFilmsLtd Why thank you☺️. There's plenty more where that came from..lol

Watched this in 2024; just now catching up on these great shorts that everyone else has already seen. Georgia Kerr is very cute (her British accent makes her even cuter), and the scenes with the ghosts were well done. I wonder how many people who were victims of Covid are haunting the places they lived.
Thanks for watching Kurt. Sure, Georgia was terrific. She starred in my short film Tolerance too, and was brilliant in that as well.
Watching 2024 too
I actually thought that this was brilliant. I want more. Well done.
Thanks very much for watching and being so positive.
Awesome short! Keep it up.

Hey, can I have your Mercedes ? In case if u don't drive it anymore.
Very good question. I think the finance company took it back as the Estate Agent hadn't paid the bill ;-)
I absolutely loved it. Creepy, suspenceful. Awesome plot. Great short. This was very, very good.
Thanks Gale - really appreciate it.
That is not scary. It's comforting.
I agree. Shows there is life after death.

Literally entire story began in a nice street. Hot!
Yes, it's a nice road in Wandsworth, South London!
Nice work. I really dug this one. Solid film making all around and great acting.
Thanks very much for watching - we shot it in a day, so I did a lot of preparation to make it work. Really appreciate you being so positive.
Now they need a guy 😂

The end of this short reminds me of Red Rose, a miniserie by Stephen King.
Thanks for watching Estelina. I haven't seen Red Rose but obviously love a lot of Stephen King's horror films and TV shows.
I've seen places that were haunted . . . but this flat is haunted hard! Like they say - if you're going to haunt, haunt hard. Cheers. *Like*

Now that's one crowded apartment!
It sure is! But ghosts don't take up much room thankfully. Thanks for watching :-)
This one gave me GOOSEBUMPS!! The thing that would really push this one is LESS CREEPY MUSIC and WEIRD SOUND EFFECTS!! The music and sound is overboard all the way through even though the movie is scary enough on it's own!
Thanks for watching and commenting so positively. I tried to be subtle with the music and effects but understand how silence could have made it even scarier in places. I guess I wanted a sense of dread to get under the skin throughout.
That was good 👍🏻
Thanks Raye
Now,the apartment is haunted by 3 lady 👻 ghost....ha ha ha..

I wanted to slap the realtor for scraping what look like dried blood with her nail. This was a fun watch!
Thanks for watching. Yes, due to budget restrictions I had to find a quick way to show evidence of the death of the previous tenant (ghost). Thanks for noticing the realtor/agent being such a horrible person.
I was only doing what the director wanted 🤣😂🤣 good spot!!
Visual effects were great. Very smart.

Thanks for watching and hi from London :-)
Nice job! How did you all record your audio? Did you use voice overs or wireless lavalieres? Asking because I’ve started working on shorts and getting good audio is something we’re struggling with at the moment.
Hi Jason, thanks for your kind comments. For the audio I hired an experienced sound recordist. While I wrote and directed the film, I am not technically minded. So, I relied on the sound person and the editor in post-production to achieve good sound. Where are you based? If you are London/UK based I can recommend some sound recordists. Slow and trite! Garbage.
Do you want to know what's really scary? Living in New York City is really scary. In my apartments, I've had what I suspect is a guy with a drug lab upstairs, people starting construction at 7am, a landlord trying to get rent controlled tenants to vacate by incinerating Lord-knows-what after the commercial tenants on the ground floor left at 5pm and another place with leaks like you wouldn't believe. Point is, if the agent was just honest with me and said "it's a really good apartment but it's got a ghost" and it didn't have any other problems, I'd be like, "Does the ghost snore? What are its personal habits?" Seriously, if the price was right they'd probably have a wait list for the place.
Wow! That sounds really scary! I guess it depends what kind of ghost it is as you say. Ingrid (the first ghost) has met a bad end and is killing for company and out of loneliness. Obviously the Estate Agent gets taken out of vengeance, because of her greed. But, if it was a reasonably well behaved ghost then I see your point :-)
so good and the actress is amazing xx
Thanks Amanda

I have mixed feelings about this short film unfortunately. It had some really great and interesting shots and the feel to it, but also some really poor and unnecessary shots, which was weird to me.. I also didn´t like the editing because the pacing and some weird cuts made the film feel kind of "cheap".
Hey Nicky, thanks for your feedback on the film. I guess we all have different ideas of what makes an interesting shot or not. In regard to the weird cuts, please feel free to let me know what they are so I can learn in regard to future filmmaking.
In regard to looking "cheap" - the budget was around £1000 so pretty low budge, but I tried to make an interesting film for hardly any money. Thanks for watching and commenting :-)
@@FixFilmsLtd What I meant about "cheap" was something else than money related, I was talking about the feel and the flow of the film that turns "cheap". I guess writing your thoughts in only few sentences over the internet always causes some misinterpretations, but I will try to give my best and make a video for you and breakdown every scene and explain my thoughts about them, if you´re cool about it? I can send it to your e-mail, cheers! ✌😁

Hey Kathy, thanks for watching and commenting. The second face shows the eyes of Catherine Deneuve from a painting/poster of the Umbrellas of Cherbourg. We framed it that way so as to heighten the sense the character was being watched by the ghost and items in the flat. Well spotted :-)

This is shit.
It's gonna start getting crowded up in there! But, all in all, I thought it was a good short. Perhaps too much of a story to really do it justice in 8 minutes. But the acting was very good! And the cinematography was very well done. Overall, I liked it! I can honestly say I am so very happy my new apartment I just moved into is in a brand spanking new bldg! 🙏
Thanks for the very positive comments. Yes, I agree there was a good amount of story. I do like a narrative with some decent turns in the narrative. In hindsight I definitely tried to do too much in terms of filming but I managed to get it all done in one day. I did even cut a couple of scenes but that worked in our favour :-)

Not particularly psychologically scary, but was still interesting to watch all the same!
Thanks for watching Callie. It's slow build scares and atmosphere I was going for but thanks for the feedback and taking the time to comment.
@@FixFilmsLtd You're welcome and thank you for sharing your film. Maybe with the slow build scare you can try to make it more menacing, add an extra bit of fear. Not necessarily with blood and gore, but a feeling of ominous fear.
@@calliecalliej.6431 Yes, I tried with the blood on the sink and the point of view shot out of the window from the ghost. Plus, the ominous music. If that did not translate then obviously not everyone will get it. When screened in cinemas in a darkened room people have been scared by this. But I appreciate your thoughtful feedback. Maybe I needed to be more clear in the build up :-)
@@FixFilmsLtd You're welcome and thank you for explaining and for being willing to take feedback (not everyone is good at doing that). But your build up elements were fine, actually. I liked them! Just need to increase the fear in it, really. More ominous. I did like the film, though.

Good but needs to be scarier.
Thanks for watching John and taking the time to comment constructively. In this film I was going for a sense of atmospheric dread and feel I achieved that.
What films do you consider scary, as everyone has different levels of what provokes fear?
I don't get it. So the ppl who lived there before "just left" and the new girl "just left". Only the two girls haunt the place. So, what happened to the first girl to make her stuck)
Hi Erika, thanks for watching. The story is about interpretation and mine is:
1) The first person/ghost was the previous tenant who was abducted/killed and taken away. But the estate agent did not call the police and just rented it again.
2) The new tenant moves in and the original tenant/ghost haunts her and kills her.
3) We now have two ghosts of the tenants. The estate agent STILL does not call the police as she is just interested in making money. As revenge the two ghosts/tenants get her in the end.
The final shot shows the three ghosts as "Flatmates" at the end.
@Gold RoseYes, that is how I would interpret it. Because of the low budget the blood stain was small. Plus, it was more of a symbol of the prior crime that could not be removed. Thanks for watching and commenting :-)
You're not supposed to 'get it.' You're supposed to sit there, like 318 other people, and pretend to be frightened. P.S. There was no plot. Just a rehashed, played out, horror trope that managed to bore/confuse you in less than 8 minutes.
@@yusefendure Speak for yourself. It didn't bore OR confuse me. Seems most people commenting liked it but you've said negative shit about it a fair bit through the comments. I know my comment's a year late but people have different opinions...get over it 🤷🏻♀️
@@nelliesilvers1210 After one year, I've forgotten about this film until getting your year's late reply. Nellie, I don't care if everybody loved the film, I say it sucked. Yeah, I said 'negative shit' about the film because the film was terrible, in my opinion. I'm sorry that your ego was bruised over a negative review of a hackneyed short film. Hope you 'get over' this comment as I've gotten over yours.
Interesting concept, and I *highly* commend the acting and the overall quality of the cinematography! My big issue (hope you’re okay with some constructive feedback) was the pacing. First of all, I think the concept was just a bit too ambitious to fit into 8 or so minutes. When the pacing feels rushed, you (as the audience) don’t get to develop the creeping sense that something about this apartment isn’t right. It’s just thrown right into your face from the get-go, which takes away the ability for atmospheric scares before the (first) ghost is ultimately revealed. Also, I think you guys could have used some makeup or effects on the ghost to make her a bit more menacing. Even the second ghost! Like, if she’s been dead for a week, that’s enough time for her to be looking pale and grotesque. Finally, the last shot of “the roommates” could have been scarier. The listing agent should have been like, screaming in terror while the other ghosts flank her, giving us the impression that she’s trapped there with no hope of possible escape. Sorry for the lengthy critique, but it’s coming from a good place. This is already higher quality than other shorts I’ve seen, so I hope you guys are able to take it to the *next* level, because it’s that good!
Hey Melanie, thanks for watching my film and for the terrifically positive feedback. I am so grateful that you have taken the time to comment on my film.
Firstly, I agree with everything you say. Your notes are absolutely spot on. In context I set out to make a low budget film (£1000 with all cast and crew being paid - no one worked for free.) As it was my first directorial film I also wanted something quite simple too. I have written and produced loads of shorts but this is the first I have directed. In regard to the pacing I agree I could have built the characters more and given them more of a back story; you are right. However, due to a lack of money I actually shot this film in one day so accept that having too many set-ups in the day worked against including more scenes at the beginning. Plus, I had to drop a few scenes in the middle too.
In regard to the make-up. I made a creative decision not to go for grotesque horror make-up with gore. I wanted ethereal and creepy ghosts rather than monstrous creations. You have made an interesting point though regarding the second ghost. There is poetic licence (and a plot-hole) in that what happened to her actual body? Was she dragged to the other side by the ghost haunting her or did the Estate Agent clear the body away. I would say the Estate Agent cleared her stuff away but not the body. Plus, the state of her body in the sense of make-up is a look based on the moment she died rather than a rotting corpse ghost. As this is fantasy and supernatural one's interpretation of the look of ghosts is open to one's creative choice.
In regard to the final shot I agree I could have had the Estate Agent a prisoner struggling as you say; it would certainly be more dramatic. But as she is now dead I decided that she has been through the pain to the other side and has now accepted her fate. The three dead-eyed ghosts are dead but together, I felt, was more haunting. Which, overall, is what I was going for. Nonetheless, thanks for watching and providing such well thought out feedback. I have made another short film called TOLERANCE and when posted I hope you find the time to watch it too. The trailer is already on my site. Regards, Paul - www.fixfilms.co.uk
Fix Films Ltd I honestly have trouble believing you shot this on such a low budget and in one day - HOLY HELL DUDE, YOU ARE TALENTED!! Ultimately I agree that it all kind of comes down to personal preference, and if you were going for more of an ethereal vibe, it was certainly accomplished. Also, the last shot was indeed haunting. I guess *my* preference leans toward more grotesque/struggling kinds of horror. In that way, I suppose I’m kind of conventional, whereas you chose a different approach. I’d love to see what you could do with a bigger budget, because this is *seriously* quality stuff. Like, damn it was good.
Fix Films Ltd Also, I’m getting serious Hitchcock vibes from that trailer for Tolerance 👀
@@overworkedcna412 Hi Melanie, thanks for your very kind words. Yes, shot in a day which meant we had to be quite creative. The actor playing Sarah had to leave at 8pm and the scene where she lets herself into the flat was the last shot we filmed. While it was quite simple we only had one take to do it. But hey, that's part of the fun I reckon. I have a new short being released soon called TOLERANCE. The trailer is up and I do take a bit more time at the start to establish the characters. I also have an idea for a proper monster movie too; both comedic and scary hopefully. Just got to get the budget together in the future, as all my films are self-funded. Anyway, have a great day. Paul
@@overworkedcna412 Absolutely. You are spot on. Hitchcock and Tales of the Unexpected.

Something from Indonesia hanging there
Yes, the set designer had done lots of travelling in Asia and visited Indonesia among many places. So she used them as props.
Really, really good. I think the critical comments below say it all - I would have nothing to add. Ghosts, of course, work by fear. They can’t physically harm you but, like Samara Morgan, they can scare you to death, and as The Ring showed, it isn’t a pretty sight.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Always left wondering. So frustrating. I can come up with a story line it's always the finish I can't get.
Hey Ronnette, thanks for watching and commenting. Endings can be tricky. Sometimes it's good to work with an ending first; how do you want your characters to end up?

Good film. 6.29 out of 10. The scares are good. The way the horror seeps in is great. Music is scary and adds to the fear building up nicely. A bit of gore might have been appropriate. We could do with more sexy shots though: when they go to sleep why don't the girls take off their clothes? Anyhow, nice movie overall.
Thanks John for your constructive feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I don't think nudity would have enhanced the story, but it is a reasonable comment given horror can offer such a prime opportunity :-)
