Who the hell do Michael Alig and Ernie Glam think they are? Michael Alig spearheaded a countercultural youth movement based on the concept of the Warholian "anti-Celebrity" and became King of the Club Kids before inspiring the film Party Monster, starring Macaulay Culkin. He is currently painting masterpieces of artwork; working on his autobiography, Aligula; designing a club kid-inspired clothing line called Skroddleface; directing a NYC art collective called Countdown and recording a new dance single. One of the original club kids, Ernie Glam is a journalist and irreverent talk show host by day, Underground clothing designer and stylist-to-the-stars by night; catch him - -if you can get past the red velvet ropes -- at the city's hottest nightclubs and parties.

I'm not sure why exactly, but I'm just fascinated by Michael Alig's story. I'd love to be able to just peer into the night life of 20-30 years ago.

I highly doubt it. However, according to one of Nelson's last tapes in June of 1989 when they went to the D.C. club by via bus tour Ernie tells Nelson in passing chat that "everybody has seen him naked." Now, this could just mean that Ernie liked to get lit and strip down for fun because he was such a wildman or it could mean that Ernie was into using "butt nekid" which was a popular drug of that time period. It could also mean Ernie banged a lot of club kids and so forth which is why he was seen naked so often. I think he just liked to be naked in front of his friends to compare who was most muscular back then, but thats just a guess.

well it was true and not true...I was there, we came to dallas from lubbock and had been at brookes once before and she made something kind of like a salad but I think it was called something else...possibly a drug cocktail, or appetizer. I don't remember but I do remember she was famous for it, and it was a mix of any and everything on hand, and it was how the evening usually started at her apt before heading to the stark club.

Well now I'm curious about the actors looks in Party Monster. Did any of the actors dressed up or just as themselves look a lot like some of the people they portrayed? Seth Green no. Maculay Culkin no. Wilmer Valderama no. Peter Gaetian hell no. Did anyone fit the look of the person they were playing??? I wanna know. Ive seen the movie 8 times.

You should watch glory daze. He shows remorse in it and cries when talking about dealing with it. Yes he fucked up and i dont approve of his lifestyle. But i still give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I have faith in them. I suggest watching this documentary as well; Its about a wife forgiving the man who killed her husband.
