What ur thoughts so far on the labyrinth?
@@synthsamuraiproductions The wavefolder is nice, though not as prominent as on, say, Arturia or Buchla synths. I think it would have more effect if the audio oscillator had a triangle waveform instead of sine. The modulation and mixer choices in the oscillator section are GREAT. If you can't get something interesting out all that's offered, then go back to preset synths.
Being a 4-pole guy, the 2-pole filter seems a little weak to me. It sounds nice, but can't oscillate on its own. I would have liked to have had an Attack knob on at least one of the EGs, preferably EG 2. I haven't quite sussed out the BIT FLIP/BIT SHIFT buttons on the sequencer yet - I haven't heard then make a big difference in the patterns. That will come with more experimentation (and a manual). The CORRUPT knobs are really cool. They can completely change the sequence patterns.
It does sound a lot like the DFAM, depending on the settings, but can take the sound further. I don't have a Spectravox, but to me, all the other synths in this series have a similar sound. The Moog sound?
No reason to drop products out of fear of competition. Just drop the prices and people will buy the products to own a Moog, especially if they offer something even moderately different than the others

All this Moog drama is getting ridicolous. I was quite sure that the InMusic buyout would have changed Moog for the better, but I'm afraid I was totally wrong.

Weird moog rollouts
Like Spectravox you will need to know what you are doing and best as part of a bigger modular rig. Like it if you are going that way just go all the way down the rabbit hole and for about the same costs have a lot more capabilities. Again, though, you need to know what you are getting into. Investing in a Eurorack Go case then the Behringer system 100 modules for about as much as this (not including the case) leaves you still needing a quality wavefolder, but a lot of flexibility other than that. Same for Spectravox where you could go Sputnik for a bit more or spend up for the luxe Bark or Fumana.

@@synthsamuraiproductions I do find the decision to green light it (no doubt well prior to the inMusic acquisition) a bit strange. Seems aimed mostly at "modular types" who mostly can already do all that, and a lot more, or easily could with another module or two. Few not really of that mindset who do get one will be happy with it IMHO. If Behringer ever gets the Proton into our hands it plus a Beatstep Pro will be far more attractive for less.

I tried this thing @ Superbooth. Didn't understand it, sounded flat and unspectacular, the booth guy was totally uncompetent and Lisa Beladonna was playing with herself. Just buy something from Big B.! 🤩

It’s not the kind of synth that will sound great out of the box. It always takes me some time to create something with the Subharmonicon, it’s everything but plug and play. I’m sure this synth will have its own story.

I was underwhelmed by the Spectrovox all together. I was somewhat excited for this (the Labrynth) but have to say that I'm going to reserve judgment until after a few more demos. So far, this is just as underwhelming...so far.

after the uberisation and ikealisation of the World ! , We NOW have the BEHRINGERISATION of Moog ! ! ! ! ! ...... this Labyrinth will be there in what ? 9 months maybe? , The Muse hopfully in 6 years ? maybe ... at least Moog has original names... behringerer is all about "U" and "B" for uli and bherger : ubxa 😆 .................. Moog is so inventive and creative I mean think about it : " The Labyrinth" 😵... "The Muse"... 😵💫 whaou....😱 next what ? Mirror ? 😆 Mase ? Synth Farm ? ... .... Oh and Moog employees ? endorsees ? youtubeese ?

@@synthsamuraiproductions they sent the demo models to retailers late last year with a spring release dates. They were planing to manufacture them in house as usual but InMusic shipped manufacturing to Taiwan. So they are shipping the parts on a boat to be assembled in the US. That’s why there has been a delay.

Ya that thing Is dope. I watched that guys vid and it is def something to get. I've never had a Moog, because of the price, not complaining, they are top, but I seriously may have to get this.
Looks interesting but need a better demo sound wise. But could be cool. Hard to beat the subharmonicon
