Grateful Dead - sugar magnolia - How to Play the Main Riff - Guitar Lesson - Country Blues jerry garcia bob weir phil lesh marty schwartz
Bought a guitar for the pandemic because I knew I'd be insanely bored. I took some online lessons for the basics, and this is the first song I want to learn to play in full!
Did you learn it??
@@MonkeyBarsEveryday he didn’t get to learn it all. He died of Covid
@@adamgooch6898 RIP in peace Benjamin Fink8393. Lost but not forgotten.
One of my favorite riffs to play with my band. Such a nice groove.
I just found you and you break it down so easily thank you. I think I can do this. I’m gonna spend the afternoon getting this down.
The "tasty" at 3:20 made me lol. Great video! Rock on Marty!
Can you do St.Stephen by the Grateful Dead
This is one of the Dead song that I know how to play, but the more Dead songs the better. Please!!!
Thanks Mix Master Marty
Awesome Marty. A proud Premium Member of GuitarJamz and owner of the Master Blues disk set. Can't thank you enough for the courses. I've wanted to play since I was a kid. Can't believe how much I've learned in only a couple of months.
Onslaught of videos from my favorite bands the last couple days. You got me killin it Marty! I think it's time for your first Widespread Panic lesson.
Love Grateful Dead!
thanks for this lesson marty! if it weren't for you i never would've picked up my guitar again after quitting for several years. the grateful dead is my favourite band so i love when you post gd tutorials. id love to see more! thanks man! peace and love
Fantastic!! I also bought your video breaking down a Jerry style solo. Fantastic explanations!
weir never does the normal rhythm stuff... that is why he is the best rhythm guitarist ever
Love the concept! I get stocked every time I see a new post from you! Thanks!
See it.... then you want to play it and of course then I thank you ....great teaching
you are an excellent teacher sir
Marty....you're the only YT instructor breaking the Grateful Dead down, thanks! I've been working on Fire on the Mountain lately and if you've got any pointers on the slides used in that tune... a how to play video would be tasty indeed!
Hey Marty Schwartz here with another awesome lesson!!
Great fun! Nice job!
Faraway Mee thanks so much for the support! I really appreciate it! Thanks again!
Thanks Marty for a great instructional video, this totally help my playing it right. I was all over the open chords trying to make it all happen, this is way simpler and quite frankly a more elegant solution. Happy 2016!
Rock on Marty! More Dead lessons please!! Rock on from OC Cali
Marty Thanks again and again and again

Them little korg tunners are great, got me a yellow

Great lesson!! How about a Scarlet Begonias lesson? I love that song, but not a lot of resources out there.

Thanks Marty!

fun riff to play on acoustic
Hi Marty,, I remember learning my basic chords from an old book that had sort of an over the shoulder look.. Why is is so hard for me to follow this stuff when in my brain i am looking at a reverse mirror?
Nice Strat! What year is it?
+Suchi Daniels please answer
snapdrummer07 Answer what?
+Suchi Daniels I was talking about the strat I was trying to get marty to answer
snapdrummer07 Oh,Thanks!
What guitar is that? It looks awesome!
Play the rest Marty!
Please
The riffs in the sublime cover are interesting, can we get them as well please?
Sublime covered Scarlet Begonias, not Sugar Magnolia.
Yeah baby !!!
Hey Marty, I've been watching you for years, you're great. I was wondering if you could give me some Amp advice? I presently play in a 3 piece band, I play guitar, stratt, through an old red face spider 212. I like simple, I only use about 3 to 4 different sounds. I don't need all the bells and whistles. I would like to get something similar to the Line6 but better and something in a 2 x 10 maybe so it still has stage presence. Can you recommend something? I play classic rock mostly. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.... ~Andy in Mass
never enough Dead!
