Bibb County firefighters battled a series of house fires in downtown Macon on Sunday morning. The fires were at the corner of Walnut and Spring Street, just next to the Forrest Johnson law offices. The law offices did not seem to be damaged. However, at least three homes were destroyed and others sustained severe damage. No one was injured in the blaze.
