Fortunately the managers knew me, I was there 1-2 times a week, and knew I don't care for UFC and just wanted my food, so they'd wave me in past the waiting crowds and bouncers, no charge.

      Funny how all these liberals talk about the harm of blackballing when they’ve been doing it for years. James Damore was fired from Google for merely suggesting there are reasons other than sexism for why men outnumber women in stem jobs. James Bennet, an editor for the New York Times, was fired for publishing an article that made supporters of BLM feel “unsafe.” The CEO of Boeing, Neil Golightly was forced to step down because someone dug up a sexist article he wrote 33-years ago. Leftists were silent then, and their defense was “private companies can do what they want.” Now they’re doing a 180-degree turn.

      @ptm2066 Před 12 dny +2

      This is also true at universities. These colleges don’t care about free speech and haven’t since 2015. “Safety First” has been the approach of colleges, who bend to the whims of those most offended. In the University of California system, their microaggression training says “There is only one race, the human race” and “America is a land of opportunity” are microaggressions. MIT cancelled a climate lecture by scientist Dorian Abbot because a group of graduate students raised a fuss about one of his writings that dissent from DEI (and he was there to talk about climate change, not DEI). At Hamline University, a medieval art professor was fired for showing medieval art of the prophet Mohammed, even though they gave advance warning and opt-outs to those who might be offended. Same with a professor at St. John’s college who read the N-word in a Mark Twain book who got fired even after giving students warnings and opt outs. A young conservative named Kyle Kashuv was accepted to Harvard and then his offer was rescinded after they scrounged through his social media posts he made at age 16 that could be perceived as offensive to people of color. Also, Harvard makes students take trainings that call misgendering, fatphobia, and “cisheterosexism” abusive. And whenever conservative speakers come to campus, they are often assaulted (Michael Knowles assaulted with Lavender oil at UMKC) and professors at CSULA told Knowles his speech about the U.S. immigration system was a form of “violence.” If they want to be “safety first,” they have to do it for everyone, including Jews. Hopefully they will now wake up and allow free speech again.

James Bennet, an editor for the New York Times, was fired for publishing an article that made supporters of BLM feel “unsafe.” The CEO of Boeing, Neil Golightly was forced to step down because someone dug up a sexist article he wrote 33-years ago.
