On the topic of home crowd advantage, it'll be pretty cool to have karrigan getting the Danish fans. I did sports in hs and college for fun but I always wanted to be the best version of myself. I did something similar to device and I regret it especially after the rich speech. I was losing interest because I would have to train by myself in rain, heat, cold, etc. I took my spot on my college team for granted and when I posted something it was wraps. The only difference is that I’m a scrub and device is an icon, which is why he doesn’t get the magnifying class except from purists.
Hearing that speech is what I wish I heard from my head coach instead of what he told me instead.
Don’t take these spots for granted, keep your head down and keep grinding. I lost my final two months of track and field, working hard and on the come up, because “I was upset and not having fun”. If you are blessed to be in a spot like I was or device is, focus on the long run, not the now because the prize is sweeter at the end

As much as I enjoy what is happening to Astralis, I again have to agree with Rich.. dev1ce is why I picked up the AWP.. this is a pathetic reincarnation of what he used to be. In the LCQ when I saw the match ups and realised, if they beat Astralis, 9Pandas go straight to the final, I knew they'd qualify.
You could see how much it meant to them when they lost to Amkal and you could see how washed out Astralis (and even Guild) looked, it was obvious and only a limping GL could challenge them.
As a Liquid supporter, I was glad I was right too

Look at how Vitality elevated their play for the Paris Major. Pound for pound Vitality is a way better team but they definitely played much better to qualify and win. Compare that with Astralis and they just kind of folded.

We take the LFN boys for granted in esports. Even though there are fans that support these guys, the scene has done a terrible disservice to all of the work they have done. It feels like the attitudes towards LFN are slowly shifting as we go through the esports winter. They've won awards and as impossible as it is, there could be no greater award than to have the community at large actually support them. (-Reddit that's GG hopefully lasered from orbit so world can heal)
only thing i disagree with is about ruggah, might be a nice guy but is a complete fraud of a coach. most success he had was with north.. then a shit spell at optic, then FOUR YEARS at og. yeah that og who were an eternal shambles. then the second he leaves and they get a new coach, a completely random mix of "mid" players puts in a decent performance at blast..

Esports competitors are sometimes very soft, I have trouble remembering hardly any pro sports athletes who say they are "not feeling it" mid tournament. Maybe you're not feeling it, but shouldn't that stay in the locker room to avoid bringing down your team publicly or giving the opponent a mental edge? Seems basic.
