This is the very first shop tour of my little basement wood shop! It will be neat to see how the the shop changes over the next few years. But as for now, there's quite a few neat things and clever ideas that you'll see in this walk-around of my shop. For further detail on some of the pieces of shop furniture or the jigs, be sure to check out the other videos on my channel. Thanks and enjoy the tour!
Be sure to check out Earlex and their Spraystation 5500: tinyurl.com/ess5500

The WoodPeckers stuff hanging up in the shop says, "my wife has NO idea how much I spend on stuff".
You're the man!
OMG! this comment is so funny! I feel the same way. to her, its nothing more than big red protractor.
Pat Mahon: ha! Touché!
Woodpecker tools are woodshop porn.
Thanks for sharing Drew, the shop has come a long way. Nice to see the upgrades as time and funds have allowed. Really appreciate you. God Bless.
Loved the reason for the screws and your "sign". All about family.
My favorite videos are the guys introducing the next generation to the shop.
Wow! Your shop looks like an art gallery.
Its great how you remember your grandfather and have kept some of his things. I still have my dad's circular saw and jig saw. He has been gone 38 years now -- I will never get rid of them!
Really appreciate shop tours all the innovative ways of storing all the different tools and supplies you have a blessed day
Beautiful Shop Organizational Structure you built....Your Grandpa, would be very proud of you.
Super Cool I love how you are honoring your grandfather. I was recently given my dad's Black and Decker band saw. It has been in storage and in really bad shape at my mom's since he passed in 1997. I spent a day putting it back together and now it works again. It is my way to honor him.
Honestly... I'm stoked that you exist and make videos. I learn something every time I watch one of them. Thank you!
I love the connection with your grandfather! I do much the same with hand tools and misc parts from my late dad and his father. Bravo!!
Thanks a bunch
You just have to love the outtakes at the end of his videos.
Drew, this was more like a trip down memory lane rather than a shop tour as I have been there with you with every piece you've made and some.
Never the less, as always a gr8 vid and even better out takes.
👍👍👍👍👍🍻😉
Kindest regards from the UK
Alec
Thanks-- love the flip cart and french cleats.
As always Drew, a well thought out and executed video. I always look forward to the end for the outtakes. I agree with your other viewers, we would love to see a best of- outtakes video. We love your sense of humor!
Love the outtakes at the end of your video. Shows everyone all the effort that goes into these videos that we just take for granted and best of all they are funny! Thanks again!
That is the most awesome shop I’ve ever seen! This would be my dream shop! Thank you for sharing!!!
It is a pleasure watching your videos. Thanks so much for all you do!
Shop tour, really useful tips, thanks drew. Loved the neighbours motorcycle comments! Looking forward to the next project. Thank you
Love all the sentimental tools/items you have. I've only kept a couple items from my grandparents...but they mean a lot to me. Keep those outtakes coming.
Wouldn't be a Fisher's Shop video without some outtakes.
thanks for doing the tour. I appreciate the guys online with basement shops doing a shop tour talking about how they've optimized space and innovated for their particular situation. I also work out of my my basement but the space is even smaller than yours.
Enjoyed your shop tour! Especially liked the comments about your grandfather and priceless that you have some of his drill bits, etc... My father passed away in April and his tools in my shop have very special meaning (I even hand polished his old hammer to a mirror finish 🤗) anyway great so Mr Fisher
Thanks, Jeff! :)
Excellent tour and thanks for the clever opening and the deleted end scene. Well done. Scott
Thanks for the tour!
Drew, all of your videos are great and your efficient use of space is just as impressive as your projects. And like others, I too enjoy the outtakes.
Great use of space! I still think your version of the flip cart is the best that I have seen. Thanks for the tour!
LOVE the Mitre Saw table
One of the better shop tour videos. You weren’t self serving. Thank you for that
Loved the tour. I've only been watching your stuff for a short while, but absolutely love everything I have watched you build. I really enjoy the editorial comments throughout your builds as well the out takes at the end of the videos!!! Great stuff keep it up!!!
Like your work, Drew. Thanks for doing the tour.
The 4 sides bit holder 👌
Meta.
Always a treat. Thanks.
That router mount is fantastic!
I get the screws now, and have a new appreciation for when I see them from now on.
0:19: "you're not helping" love it💯
Ive owned that sprayer for a few years now. Ive stained my fence and painted several things. It even sprays latex paint very well once thinned. I finished a piece for my sons nursery and the latex finish was really smooth compared to rolling it with a foam roller. It's a large cubby that holds 6 cloth baskets and I used less than half of a quart of paint inside and out with three coats.
Very nice, practical shop!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the Tour! Always find helpful storage tips in these videos 👍🏻
Nice shop. Thanks for sharing Drew.
Well thought out shop tour and presentation. Thanks for sharing.
Whoa! I'd never move if I had a shop like this.
I love your shop and gives me something to aspire to
Genius idea to build the planer cart on a dolly. Really enjoyed this shop tour.
I inherited a bunch of hardware from my grandfather as well. I do the same thing, try and integrate his stuff in my projects. I recently built a blanket chest for my sister who is expecting and used some of his stuff in that. My sister was pretty close with my grandfather so that just added another special touch.
Very cool! Thanks, Dan
Great tour Drew! Thanks for sharing!
Great stuff... I love watching the outtakes/funnies at the end of peoples videos that they are now adding .. haha.. Great little workshop with space in mind, I also have most of my machines on wheels or some sort of cabinet for them as its easier to store and then use when needed, especially for smaller workshops. Thanks for sharing.
Wow .. your Grandfather looking down on this well organised shop .. he be proud you still using his screws .
Thanks for the shop tour! Loved the outtakes.
Really like your creative and inventive solutions!
Thank you very much!
I just bought my own Earlex spray station. looking forward to using it very soon. Love your shop, you have a very clean usable space. Thanks for sharing.
Love that mitre saw station
Always a pleasure watching your videos. You have a fantastic sense of humor. Came home from a bad day at work - your video made the day all good again. Seriously! - so thanks
Thanks Lars!
That’s awesome that you use stuff from your grandpa in the shop and have your brothers sign. My kids make some stuff in school that I put in my shop. Yes your right flathead screws are so frustrating. I have stuff from my grandpa too in my shop. No flathead screws anymore though. Only square drive from here on out. Some torx too.
I like the robertson and torx screws too EXCEPT for them your bit gets stuck in them and you need pliers to get it out. It's like the polar opposite problem from flat-heads. lol
Such a cool shop! Love the table saw sleds!
Thanks! :)
Thanks for sharing
Great shop setup and organization
AMAZING shop
Wow great shop!
The little bit of walnut is never unnecessary!
Looks great!
I love your shop and all of your organization! I am so new to the wood shop scene, but my grandad and my dad has a shop, and it's always been a dream of mine to own one. I am just getting to a point in my life that I can start to afford some of the things that go in a starter shop and it makes me so excited, but seeing your AMAZING shop is just so disheartening. I know that I'll never make it that far, but I'm still excited about doing what I can. Thank you for the video, and despite what I said about being disheartened I loved the video! Keep up the great work!
Drew, your shop is amazing. I appreciate the walk through as it has given me some ideas.
Glad to hear it!
Thanks Drew for sharing about your Grandfather and why you use the screws.
My workshop is down in the basement as well. Right beside the furnace. It's about 16' x 16'... so pretty small when you include all the tools. Every once in a while, I'll bring some sawdust over to the furnace and let the smell go through the house... the wife hates that... and because of that, I'm now allowed to build my own shop off the garage! :)
Plant the seed and water it, and it'll grow.
Great tour! Thanks
"and down here is my bucket for walnut cutoffs so that I can use them in the most unnecessary way possible" love your sense of humor. Your videos are always top shelf in the enjoyment category. Nice use of space BTW. I'm stealing your French cleet idea for tool storage.
Loved the tour, Drew! Nice shop! Cool stuff!
Very nice! Well done.
Great shop tour. Our shops are about the same size, I also use the French cleat system and highly recommend it to other woodworkers. Keep posting your out takes. It's nice to see I'm not the only one that screws up.
I just found your channel recently and I'm really happy I did. Great stuff.
Nice shop, Drew! Laid out well, according to your needs. Thank you for the shop tour video! #KeepTheChipsFlying!
the outtakes are the cherry on the cake , love the videos also :D
Drew, I just finished watching your shop tour 2019. I think it might be time for a 2021 shop tour. Thank you for all your videos and not taking yourself so seriously unlike other CZcams carpenter's. LOVE YOUR OUTTAKES!
Thanks, James. I really don't think enough has changed to warrant a new shop tour just yet. But I definitely will eventually. Maybe once I have like 2-3 more talking points that would be new.
Nice shop Drew and good use of space. Lots of innovative storage solutions.
Thanks 👍
Just goes to show you don't need a big shop to make quality stuff! And yes, the outtakes are great
Your tour helped me very much with layout considerations for my new shop. I also am getting a lot of great education out of watching your other videos. I think I will practice a whole bunch building jigs, machinery holding things and that type of stuff before I try to build real high end furniture using expensive wood.
I suspect your Grandfather would be very proud of you and your little shop.
I really like watching your Vids, keep up the good work, fella.
Really nice shop. I like how your brain works on how organized you are & how well thought out you have put things together. Good Job!!!!
Thank you very much!
Hey Drew, I'm a 15 year old new woodworker. I go to Bucks County Technical High School in the Fine Woodworking program. I've recently gained an interest for woodworking and I just wanted to say how much I enjoy watching your videos. My grandfather is also a woodworker and I aspire to be a lot like you (and him of course) in the fact of honoring his legacy and continuing woodworking in the family. Your shop looks awesome and is something I'm very jealous of. Just wanted to say how much I appreciate your videos and the inspiration you give me.
Thanks Daniel!
your awesome i am an 18 year old hobbyist woodworker and metalworker as well and my grandfather recently gave me all of his knowledge on woodworking and metalworking and now i can make literally anything
lol the neighbor is probably thinking the same thing when youre working in the shop. I live in a house that have small lots and I'm always worried im going to wake someone or just annoy them in general with my table saw or one of my tools when i working in the after noons or evenings. I just started getting into woodworking and its very addicting and fun. Great channel.
Thanks Drew! Love the Grandfather screw assortment! I have a very fine collection myself, along with jigs, tools, lots of miscellaneous containers, and very best of all, memories! He was an extraordinary man who taught me alot. Always look forward to Fisher Shop videos and of course #unnecessarywalnt 😂
Thanks Matt!
You sure have everything laid out nice Drew! 👍🏻 I need you over at my shop for a day or so! 🤣 Thanks for sharing!
Nice shop brother. Nice setup. I especially like the story about your grandpas screws.
Great video, Drew - lots of good ideas in here that I will steal!! Cheers from BC Canada!
Nicely done Drew! That is one hell of a wood shop you've got there. Perfect functional set up if you ask me. Great job!! Thanks for the tour........... :)
Thanks Steve!
Dang! Shop tours are popular!!!
Just discovered your site and really enjoyed your tour of your shop. You've given me something to aspire to! Also, thanks for the review of the Earlex sprayer. Just ordered it. Keep up the videos. I, too, love the outtakes. Regards, Jeff
Awesome video Man! I love the organization and efficient use of space. I really dig your drill bit holder that was your Grandfathers too, cool design and nice way to show them off as well as access them. Your vid'z are always informative and have given me ideas for my dream shop one day. Keep it up!!👍
Lol love the bloopers. Nice touch
One thing I'm glad I did in my shop is put plywood on the walls. For the most part, you don't need to locate a stud. Make sure you meet fire codes before removing any. Nice video.
Great use of limited space. Really liked the tour and gained many ideas.
I really do love your videos, Thank You for that. I too enjoy using Grandpa's things.
GREAT VIDEI THANK YOU GREAT SHOP AND ALLOT OF IDEALS.
Very nice setup there! I have a small shop as well so I feel your pain! Nice job utilizing every square inch and keeping it functional
Thanks! 👍
Great setup! Good job
Drew - just found your channel and look forward to watching more of your videos. You have done a great job organizing your basement with limited space which is not easy. I like your french cleat system, it is great for heavier tools. I use pegboard in my shop. I can put a lot of things on the wall in a limited space. As I have gotten older I have collected more tools and sometimes it can be tougher to remember where everything is stored. I paint the pegboard to my theme colors and group my tools/accessories on them by color/purpose to make it easier to find them quickly. I also paint my cabinets and tool benches to match and it seems to look pretty good. I used to have a great memory, I sure miss it! Keep up the good work.
Neat idea about sorting by color
Good Tour Drew i love that Dog , Very Cool having GrandFathers fastener bins and hardware i have a lot of my Granfathers tools i still use
Honestly your outages are the greatest addition to the videos. So awesome bro
Glad you like them!
you the man dude......love the work like the style
That Flip Cart is genius. Your whole workshop is a piece of Art. Well Done!
Thank you very much!
The joke about "squeezing more in there" talking about clamps was so good. I'm surprised I haven't seen a comment about it yet.
Brilliant. WELL DONE
