I've always thought once you get past seven strings (and including some seven strings) the neck looks too wide to look aesthetically pleasing

Uli Jon Roth's custom sky guitar which is notable for being one of the first guitars to have 30 frets. I think its awesome really.
It's designed to be super playable at every fret, too. Plus it has a ridiculously awesome onboard preamp...and there's a neck pickup under the fretboard.

Yeah, Tosin’s is a Rick Toone. Everything they design is incredibly odd, but always incredible. Their shapes and material choices are amazing, and their machine heads on the headless range looks fantastic.
The guitar Tosin Abasi is holding is made by Rick Toone, he's a luthier that makes awesome shit. He made one for Javier Reyes as well, they're odd looking but completely ergonomically customized and dope af.

The guitars at 9:18 are custom guitars made by Mosrite for the mid-60's psychedelic band Strawberry Alarm Clock. One and only hit was "Incense and Peppermints," but one of their guitarists went on to play with Lynyrd Skynyrd, and another formed Oingo Boingo.

6:40 that guitar was made for tosin, the guy took a photo and carved the guitar so it sits perfectly he has said it is his most comfortable guitar.

in case you didn't know, guitar necks in general have a taper to them.
I's just not that drastic. we're talking about a difference of something around 10mm ( - this value can vary drastically - ) between the nut and the 12th fret.
in comparisson, the neck is about 40-50 mm in width at the nut (unless it's a classical guitar, then it's probably a lot wider)

Pretty sure that Abasi one was made specifically for him by a custom shop where the luthier designed the shape based off how he'd seen Tosin playing in different positions so it's totally ergonomic to his style.
