Honestly I find it mind boggling that people are freaking over the lack of KH4 news - Nomura literally stated shortly after the reveal back in 2022 that it would be a good while before the next significant update. Which is fine with me because I want them to show as little as possible. KH3 had WAAAAY too many trailers and spoiled so much of the endgame in their promotions.
People need to let them cook. Its comin!

I feel like it's a slow burn situation like they knew FF16 would get hype so they focused on that first, then FF7 Rebirth would get massive hype, and they definitely know that when KH4 releases the God of hype itself will appear.

I’d like to at least see Sora get accustomed to Quadratum. Maybe even a little focus on him in school but nothing too crazy. KH4 is a chance for them to do something unlike before. New arc. New story. New problems. I’m getting excited just thinking about it.
It would be interesting to see sora living a somewhat normal life in a gameplay aspect, him forming new bonds with students. How crazy would it be if we could drive a car or something lmao
Nah this ain’t Persona 5. Sora being a normal human being sounds cool until you have to replay the game. Roxas’ intro in KH2 was already stretching it a little.

I was a freshman when the first trailer came out. I took the ACT a couple weeks ago. I’m going to graduate from high school before another kingdom hearts four trailer comes out!
If they were smart, they would release the first official world drop / updated reveal trailer on May 4th, to highlight the Stars Wars world inclusion and target that large worldwide promotional event to rake in even more views to create hype. Star Wars trailers in general are known for the millions of viewers they attract just within the first 24 hours of posting. Square Enix, if you’re listening, I’m helping you out here. ❤️👀

Can't belive it has been two whole years since the announcement of KH4. Missing link is supposed to release this year, and we need updates on that.

It is time for more KH we have been so patient. We have had two major FF releases and I loved that but now that it’s out the way we should start to get more information. I’m predicting 2026 release
@1:33- Looks like Square is FINALLY taking a page from Nintendo because for the most part they are masters at this. Most of the time, games they announce, you have to wait less than a year. Of course there are exceptions *looks at TotK and Metroid Prime 4*, but yeah look at games like Smash Ultimate, Mario Odyssey, Metroid Dread, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3, when they were first announced, you didn't have to wait too long for them. So seeing that Square might start doing this gives me hope lol.
As far as KH4 goes, I'll take whatever they can give lol. I just hope they don't give too much lol.

Part of me thinks the wait is over but Missing-Link really went off the rails development wise. In the end, the lack of transparency is to blame.
The only thing that I'm hoping, and that a lot of people will agree, is that Square needs stop, or at least be careful about spoiling KH4 with the trailers. Still pretty salty about the Anti Aqua reveal and the KH3 Final Battle trailer.

It's funny everyone thinks KH4 is "dead" lmao Square has been radio silane because of the promote of FFVII Rebirth. That's all. They obviously didn't want to promote two of their biggest titles at the same time. Now that Rebirth is out and out of the way, Square can now throw us KH news! Just you wait and see!
I hope we get more ff characters in kh4 or at least have most of the ones established back again. Kinda want lightning and zidane to be in kh. Also, I hope that the game’s combat is polished and takes some inspiration from ff7r.

I'm honestly not hopeful because Missing Link isn't even complete much less out yet. It's so obvious they're sooo out of schedule, so learning from the long wait of KH3 we're in for another long wait.

This wait is why I’ve been focusing on other games. Namely FF14. Seriously when are we gonna get a FF14 and Kingdom Hearts Crossover. It’s both makes sense and can be pretty fun to see.
I think the KH4 announcements will likely start NEXT year 2025.
I could see a new trailer coming out later this year… maybe. I wouldn’t have any high hopes, especially if this ain’t coming out till after 2027. Also yeah I would expect this to be one that links thinks together and where we find out more about the past.

in reality we understand why they were discreet with Kh4. because they don't want to relive the same experience of harassment in the news during the development of KH3 which, if we remember it well enough, lasted quite a long time.

If you lost interest due to this dry spell compared to the 20 years of relative constant growth when comparing that to other series thay have gone dormant, I don't know what to tell you
I'm sick of the waiting, Nomura lied to us again by saying they won't announce the game too early this time.
Waiting 5+ years with nothing in-between isn't it chief, BBS, Re:coded etc were mid but at least they were games.
Literally Relax, Nomura didn't lie about anything as we have had updates on the other games, the 20th Anniversary had to show us something. And KH fans have been eating good through the 20 years relatively.
@@HMK The first 10 years I agree. 2002-12 was great. From that point onward though we've received remasters of the same games over and over, 0.2 was decent, KH3 was complete mid until remind came and saved it.
Mobile games that just serve as a money sink that could have been their own instalments, with no redeeming quality in the gameplay at all. A Rhythm game which was just a nothing game, and now another mobile nothing game with Missing Link.
If this is the future of KH that we have to look forward to, it's pathetic. 1 game every 6+ years, with a bunch of filler products that have significance to the story. People used that same argument against the like of BBS and DDD but at the very least they were actual games.
