Been a long time sub (over 6 years probably) I think youtube may have unsubbed me at one point but just wanted to comment and say great video man, not sure what was different about this one compared to others but I really enjoyed the editing and maybe more “personal” i guess type of video where you are just kind of hands on talking about the engine and plans. Nice to see up close work being done. hard to put an exact description of what I liked more about this vid but good job lol

Dude, I am super hyped to watch this build. I have like 50 things I want to say but I will just say that I am glad you are going this route cause I am way more likely to drop 4k on an is300 and rebuild the motor than drop 12k on a gte and it will literally answer my question of what would you have done different from the 1st build. Good stuff.
Hey buddy I love your content! You can use a rubber mallet on the tape and tap it which will cause the tape to perfectly be cut in the shape of whatever you are covering, making it easier to paint and or clean. Good luck!

dodo racing makes a set of adapter lower runners that bolt up directly to the factory GTE upper manifold! great option for a factory look and fit!
Dodo racing adapter, you can run a oem gte manifold with it and it fits in the is300 no problem 🔥🔥🔥

Checkout DoDo racing, they have a lower runner setup for the 2JZ-GE that will allow you to use the 2JZ-GTE intake manifold. Although it might be a pain to source the GTE intake manifold.
Since the engine is out. Maybe install a PowerHouse Racing oil filter relocation kit. The option without factory oil cooler, thats the route i went with on my GS300 and makes it much easier and less messy of an oil change.
Also Evan if you don't mind posting the parts list for what you upgraded when you upgrade it as I'm planning to nat mine as well

sayin it again, Dodo Racing is doing the best high-quality NA-T parts right now, especially on the intake side. They have a GTE plenum adapter that doesn't stick the plenum through the hood, and they're also working on an AWC that replaces the GE intake Y-pipe
If you plan on using an gte intake adapter i don't think it fits under the is300 hood. I have one on my sc300 from rad industry's and it works well but it makes the manifold sit higher than normal.

I got a question for you regarding your right hand drive JDM super build. Is that epoxy still holding strong in the engine block for the oil return from the turbo? I recently got one myself and I want to Turbo it in time. But I want to get together my parts first and enjoy the car this year as soon as it comes off the boat. And then over the winter I plan on building it next year

Unsure if he sold it already but he's been trying to sell the gte/v160 setup. Dont remember his reasoning but na-t jz is just the best bang for buck setup
