I swear, Cap'n Q looks younger now than when this series started. This just might be the prettiest boat so far. Stunning.
His booking agent has hired a make-up artist I believe 😉
We discovered the Sparkman & Stephens fountain of youth!!
Great episode. Thanks guys. I can’t understand why this brilliant channel doesn’t have 100k plus subs. All those years of wisdom history and experience that Capt Q and Randay share with a boat loving public.
That’s very kind of you!! Thanks!!
I want to thank the owner for maintaining this boat at the highest level possible. I'll even drive to Barrington to do this personally.
He’s been a remarkable steward.. and improved upon her fantastically
We're melting over here on the golden beaches of the North Coast of Northern Ireland too.
Happy to take a break in Rode Island with the Capt'n and Randay ;)
That boat and I are the same vintage and sad to say, she's in infinitely better shape than I am.
Thanks for the literal laugh out loud moments guys. Keep well.
from one old mick to another i totally understand
An amazing boat in terms of its condition, interior layout for a 57 year old design and the apparently loving care it has received. Ran-day’s boat is of similar size and it’s time he gave us all an update as to how he is enjoying it and revitalizing it, hopefully with similar love and care. What say you Ran-day! 🙂
Lots and lots of love for her… upcoming episode will show the splash-in and first few sails… progress is a bit slow… just need more hours in the day!! ~R
@@YachtHunters Well since many of those hours are spent with your good buddy informing and entertaining us, that can be forgiven! 😃
Thanks for posting and sharing. Beautifully well kept boat.
She is
Lovely boat and time well spent with the good humor of Capt Q. ❤
Anything S&S is always fabulous. The lines. The elegance. The blue water capabilities.
Thank you for a wonderful episode!
they provided style and taste and seaworthiness that is presently lost to the new boat market
If I did not already own a boat, I would be buying this one. She is a jewel.
fortunately, someone has removed that dilemma sold already
@@YachtHunters, I was going to also comment that if this boat does not sell really really fast, that there is something wrong with world.
Great tour of a magnificent boat, thanks There may be some canned beef stew drama behind the scenes
#dintygate
I watched this video 22 minutes after it was put on CZcams and then tried to follow the listing. Already sold.
I've figured out - by watching Cap'n Q and Randee - the best way to snag a great boat: move to Maine for a month or two, drive everywhere, check listings daily, and be prepared at any time to see a boat. Maine is remote and has the oldest demographics in America, so the local boat market must be unusually plentiful for a state holding only one million people.
spot on and bring cash
Another beauty. Comfort and style. Thanks again and take care.
It is hard to believe that boat is 57 years old! Flawlessly maintained. Hinckley quality at half the price. Given how the owner has done flawless maintenance and upgrades to the boat, I'm sure that it was marine grade duplex wiring in the bilge, near the battery box. Best price / quality boat you have yet had on the channel. Thank you so much for the excellent videos.
yes, the owner cared for this boat with love and attention to detail... the little fillet along the toe rail is a good example of someone who really put some thought and love into the details. cheers, Mike!
An absolute masterpiece. Fantastic condition. Visible wiring looked new or close to it. Well-maintained engine. Acres of polished wood. Nice interior space. If only I had a trustfund!
This beauty is pure craftmanship. Be hard to match the owners skill in upkeep thank you for giving me something else to dream about.
What a great channel I just found! Captain Q is a hell of a host and Randy is a damn good cameraman and video partner. You two have done a great job. This is waaaay more enjoyable than other boat for sale channels!
Thanks and welcome aboard!
its Ran-day!
Love, love love your videos! So informative and fun!!!
Thanks Captain Q 😊
Thanks for watching!
What an amazing find Captain. This boat is beautiful and in amazing condition. If have to say I am starting to enjoy Thursdays more than Fridays!
Stateside melting in NYC heat wave stopping for some AC and I get to dream about the sea too! Thanks Capt & Ran Day.
Really beautiful boat. Amazing to think it was probably built for way less than todays asking price.
Wow.. the owner of this boat has done alot of work improving a already beautiful boat.. the woodwork reminds me of a Hinkley
He did and it does
44 is my favorite number ! This is my Dream boat!! I had her little sister the S&S Sailmaster 22 which I loved. My good friend Jack Sherwood wrote about his Sailmaster 22 "Erehwon" in his monthly column "Bay Tripper" in Soundings Magazine. Thank you so much Captain Q and Ran-Daaa.
Thanks for sharing! we love the personal updates from you all
Incredible boat !! So so beautiful and in great great condition ! My quotation was 45 ! Absolutely georgious !
nice going Mitch !!
Thanks guys! Beautiful boat and my dog, Roscoe loves your choice of background music. See you all next week and thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much! be on time!!
Gorgeous boat Captain Q.I have a 1961 Seafarer 26 a beautiful boat that loves to be sailed.what I mean by that to the viewers is that these boats love to have there toe rails splashed .A bit intimidating at first for me so I put my trust in her and holly smoke she sailed absolutely beautiful this way .Soloed sailed from Lake Erie to Key West so we got to now each other very well ,love these sailboats.
That’s quite a trip. And they do like 15 degrees over
Came back to look at this boat. Unbelievely good owner.
exemplary for sure.... made some amazing changes/adjustments... stunning work over 30 years
Great job guys, excellent review of this sailboat, It sure was tidy and clean for the year, Someone really loved and cared for this boat
yes... the owner is simply an amazing steward... lots to learn from him
Beautiful boat, great tour as always.
Going to be tough task making this years best of list. Beautiful boat.
So many great ones to choose from 😍
Such a beautiful boat! And as someone that appreciates meticulously varnished wood, I love this boat and would be so proud to own it.... And the price seems very reasonable for vessel of such fine quality...❤️
You’re correct. And someone already has 🤗
They just keep getting more and more beautiful don't they? I am starting to believe Captain Q you are one of those Harry Potter magician professors as you keep the flow of these masterpieces every week coming. I won't lie. I love the full keel on this boat and again for safety concerns in a rollover disaster. It's a tad heavy price wise but only because you couldn't rebuild anywhere near the cost because of inflation and superb quality. I give it an eleventeen personally. Thank you Randay for your amazing camera work and editing and Captain for your research and presentation.
thank you
friar we have fun and so glad you all appreciate the boats we find
This boat was a treat. Now if I could just talk my wife into living on a sailboat. Alas, it's not going to happen. I did get some new Topsiders this week but I didn't see the Captain Q model so I had to get another one. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
Way to go, JL… now we just have to find a boat your wife would agree to… we’ll keep looking
@@YachtHunters Unlike you, my wife says if it floats it gets a ZERO. That kind of leaves me out of the boat business. Unfortunate but true.
Never give up…. Never give up… never give up……….the ship !!!!
(Ok ok now who said that … and long after J P Jones)
You guys seem to find some real gems. Amazing!
I'll always remember Hurricane Bob, my Dad passed away that week.
BTW, I love the ongoing translucent transparent confusion :-)
This is a wonderful life boat, thank you for the information and effort.
Thank you for watching
The finish on this boat is by far the finest I have seen. That said, the Cheoy Lee Pedrick 47 occupies the current hot seat in my heart. As always, your video's are entertaining and educational. It's hard to imagine anyone who doesn't learn at least something from every video you and Randay publish. I could envision a way to build the V board into the V berth, as a horizontal pocket, much like pocket doors in a stick built house. It would slide into one side or the other, just below the support board for that berth, and the cushion for the insert would have to be an inch or so thicker than the other cushions to offset the lower position of the V support. You might lose a little storage access but... I wonder if anyone has tried that before ?
Love that thinking It’s a start The vee is a problem but I like parts of the idea
Biggest problem is mid. Night trips to head without kicking friend in head or even just getting out out if you are alone.
Keep thinking Gordon
Oh
One idea on one of the boats (cheoy lee 41 episode?) elevat port side and form rectangular cushion then lower stb side an go under the port side again with rectangular cushion
At least you can hold hands til you fall asleep 👋🤗
This beautiful classic sat on the market for years... then you guys show up, and Poof! Sold! Nice job, when do you start receiving a percentage of the commission? 😉 One tiny comment/correct (although moot now since it sold and got such a high CQ rating) is the Capsize Screening Formula number and the on-screen "-10 pt deduction" (which seems to have been forgotten during the final QC rating). A 1.5 score is pretty darn good and very stable, so not sure why the on-screen point deduction. Anyway, love the episodes and just bought a "If it floats, it gets a 10" mug to help support!
OMG! Another gorgeous S&S design! Thanks for sharing another great find.
Cheers.
S&S can draw some beauties!
Congratulations to the owner for the A1 condition from bow to stern. Thanks guys for another excellent review.
agreed... simply lovely.... thanks for watching, Stephen!
I can't put my finger on it, but this cap. Q. hits different. Super in depth 👌 👏
that's very kind of you.... thank you
Beautiful boat!
Beautiful boat. My new favorite. Captain Q you always look captainly.
Goes with the name 😂
A truly beautiful vessel that has been astonishingly well taken care of. For someone looking for an amazing weekender that wants to do some racing for fun as well she's perfect. For myself at that price range something more modern with things like a sugar scoop, refrigeration, a Gen Set, AC, actual shower stall in at least one head and just more of the modern amenities would be a much better choice. That's because my use would be much different from the owner of a yacht like this one. I'd be looking for a live aboard cruiser that doesn't have to be the fastest or most beautiful vessel in the anchorage but instead one that is decked out to be a comfortable living space. It just needs to be capable and fast enough to get me to where and into, shallower draft, the places I want to visit which is mainly the islands and possibly the inter-coastal...
Thanks for bringing us another stunning vessel.
Fair winds, following seas, safe travels and God Bless...
Well said!! Thanks for the note
Very pretty boat in superb condition...inside and out.
doesn't get any better
Wow! What a beautiful boat! Nice find guys.
thank you we do have fun uncovering these for the uneducated, we often learn a lot about each one ourselves
@@YachtHunters Thank you but I’m highly educated.
Can you beem this up and over to Vancouver, B. C. ? What an amazing boat. You guys are terrific. Thank you.
than you RR cant beam but could have trucked if it hadn't just been sold
Gorgeous, well-maintained boat. .. Cheers to you. ..
likewise to you thanks for watching
Once again another beautiful boat!!! I would give her one more point on the Captain Q Rating just to make it a point per foot as every foot on her seems perfect. By that I mean the actual measurement of her and not Captain Q's or Ran-Day's feet as I do not know if they are perfect. That is between them and their podiatrists.
Might as well round up with this lovely gal
"a good harbinger of a well-kept boat" 😂
Wow such an amazing boat, truly beautiful ⛵️⛵️🥰 thanks for sharing 👍👍💕💕
You are very welcome. Believe m it’s all our pleasures
What a wonderful boat!
Gorgeous!
Now that is a beautiful boat! 8 - )
thanks
Double Holy smoking Toledo!!!!! Another gem😊
Triple!!
Wow...she's move-in ready. Lovely boat, (the beautiful curve of the bow is worth a video on it's own!)...and that reminds me, it's Friday, so must buy a lottery ticket for tonight's draw, thanks for the reminder!
Buy one for us too!! Good luck!!🍀
Going to show this vessel to my wife tonight. I hope she gets the vote.
Great find Capt, hard to resist this one.
She’s just too darn pretty… plus a great race pedigree
Loved that boat! You can tell she has been well taken care of and would pretty much be turn key. Just gorgeous! Only trouble is how would I get these to California where I live. Thank you gentlemen. Love your content.
Truck
Gorgeous boat
We agree!
I liked the drone shots of this beautiful boat.
The origionator of Dinty Moore Stew was my uncle's neighbor. This was before he sold out to Hormel.
Gotta find him 🤔
your show
keeps getting better!!
you're too kind... thank you
Love the videos keep em coming boys
I think how Capt Q feels about this S&S 45' is how I feel about my favourite of all time, the Alden 44' that you found & covered in Ep 27. This S&S vs the Alden? Hmmm. Almost too close to call...
I fell in love with that Alden 44 also!
Agreed… a very close call… perhaps the Mizzen puts the Seafarer just a few ouch ahead
I’ll take a Morris 42.
44 - 1 for the pencils - a tidy boat is a good boat - its all in the details
You’re right! Damn missed that
Stunning, she's beautiful!
If I ever get out on the water, this is the boat I'd want.
You’d be the envy of the harbor 😍
You forgot one point for having a pillow for the Captain. So a 45 would be perfect. Could we have just seen the PB II? Thank you gentlemen for finding this beauty.
Good catch and it is in the CQ contract!!
Just subscribed and love your videos! Would love to see you do some downeast style picnic boats and motor cruisers along with the beautiful sailing vessels. I heard you recently did a video on a 22' Webber's cove. Dying to see it!
we have some in the works.... should be out in a few weeks... cheers!
The Captain should had had a blue blazer and an ascot on today
That does seem fitting for this lovely classic
You guys are on a serious roll!
thank you for watching the action i just hope we can defy gratify and roll up hill and not down
Oh, my!!
I’m in love❤️
painful when thise arrows strike that's i felt when i first spotted her sister in San Francisco Bay
Great boat
she really is!! isn't she
What a beauty. Thank you!
Thanks for watching
Ah, my dream boat! Would love to make a passage in this immaculate old girl!
This man makes me want a boat
Been known to have that effect!!
That is a beautiful sailboat!
i agreeeeee
Beautiful but had a CCA design once. Carl Alberg 35. Beautiful but once is enough. But indeed beautiful.
She's in better shape than me, a beauty and a credit to the owner
Remarkable stewardship 👍
Please consider an episode on boat financing basics?
In a word...WOW !!
good word
I wish I knew 1% what this geezer does about boats
I might buy a lottery ticket. Never do that. $2.20. Loved this boat. The owner is somewhat fastidious. I'm saving this video. You guys have the best sailboat videos, love the humour.
It's sold!!! Not surprised.
She went quickly!!
Oh my........That is a Cover Girl. 44 seems to be a bit of low ball. Thanks for sharing!
i was hoping no one would step up and i could start selling pencils and get her on the cheap
Still waiting for the CQ contract pillows in the merch store, I'm penning my letter to hormel tonight.
Thanks Walter!!
Have you ever done or would you consider doing a full tour of PB?
Maybe Randy could do it if you feel it would be a little braggadocio doing it yourself.
Thanks
we have reached out to the current owner and he is not interested in participating.... sadly...
nice
44 points. Vivaaaa!!!!!
could have added more without any problem
Just so happens I know Tom Hormel and where he lives on Kauai island in Hawaii... I would gladly hand deliver all of the letters you can gather together!!
would love that!!
Take my money!
hey Cap Q can we see you sailng
WHAT A BOAT!!!
Agreed!
I bet the owner spent more on upgrades than the original boat even cost. I give it a 50 !!!
I agree. Nice call
“Most costliest” - that’s -10 points for Randay
Belt and suspenders… 😉
Captain if you had a pipe in that photo of you at the helm you'd bear a striking resemblance to Gen. Douglas MacArthur. 😁
You are just saying that because I keep “returning”
When are we going to see Randy's boat again?
He’s working on videos these next few weeks… hopefully in a week or so
Great job! Please give us a link to Hormel>
www.hormelfoods.com/inspired/story/125-years-connecting-consumers/
'The toes?' lol!
Pointy!
Nice sailboat. Does Sparkman & Steven's make trawlers? 🤔 At least it had a mizzen!
i believe they have done an occasional piece, but they did more in one off displacement yachts
trawlers had not risen to the private level when they were in full bloom as i recall, so they didn't identify it as a market
@@YachtHunters I like displacement hulls...a sailboat hull with a decent layout would be fine.
Cap'n Q. Why don't you review that Concordia Yawl for sale in MD for about 40k, reduced from 185k. I guess that era is over.
wait til gas goes down they are sweet an comely under sale but really tiny below great antique value
