When you stop a speeder on the spot you can find out why the speed, like if they are drinking, someone is in some kind of distress, or just committed another crime. The officer may be able to stop other things from happening.

Will this be part of a class action lawsuit against the cities?

Sounds like it’s not a class action, which probably isn’t necessary because if the plaintiff wins the case the judge can order the defendants to compensate all those who received fraudulent tickets.

I have been following Tim Anderson on this and am looking forward to him winning this case. And what the hell is she wearing?!

what could go wrong with a 3rd party out for of state camera company that exists for profit that is impersonating an officer trying to collect money for it's clients? Surely the calibrations and readings wouldn't be wrong just to sell more units to other cities... You can always trust private companies to never do anything illegal for a profit motive!

need cameras because everyone speeds. it's that big a problem there

Put a trained officer with a properly calibrated radar detector there then.
Otherwise it isn't that big of a problem now is it?

Watching Regina Mobley in that get up reminds me of Seinfeld and the puffy shirt episode. Seriously?

Can we just keep the cameras but like 100% of the money goes to providing the best food in the world to our children in school basically pay anything to just get these kids actually learning anything

Lol. Who cares if a company with a profit motive to give false speeding readings in order to sell more cameras is ticketing people pretending to be an officer. We need to extort money for the children/

Good luck dreaming most of it is a cash grab for cities that drain our money. Chesapeake and Suffolk are some of the most corrupt cities. Investigate Chesapeake city corruption. Hundreds of people pissed dirty from fentanyl while incarcerated there with 5 overdose deaths while in Chesapeake custody to no investigation or reform of any kind.
