Great choices. I have Clank! but have not played it yet. I have the new Stone Age Anniversary edition. Burgundy is a must to play. Have not played Dixit in a while. Dominion I need to take out and play. 7 wonders Duel my daughter and I love to play. Have the metal coins and the wood insert for it the box. Lords of Waterdeep I need to play, it's been a while. Keep up the good work, looking forward to your next video.

Great tastes! Stone Age is my number 3 and I feel there is a special bond amongst those that defend the Realm

Slowly starting to build our collection. Have always loved a variety of games. Glad I discovered both your channel and your top 10 list.

Lords of Waterdeep is a game the I had a lot of fun with. I also loved 7 Wonders but haven't yet played "duel". Clank! sounds like fun. too. I really need to play that one (and the legacy version, too!). Excellent selection of games. You've certainly given me ideas for the next games to try!

The only reason I would never describe _Defenders of the Realm_ as Fantasy _Pandemic_ is the dice - and if I do use the analogy, I am careful to add that "but everything you do in the game is resolved by rolling six sided dice." I do this in case they are like my wife and I, who love _Pandemic_ because of its lack of dice (thus _State of Emergency_ with the Hinterland Challenge and _Pandemic: The Cure_ didn't go over well with us, but _Pandemic: Fall of Rome_ works because you can try to minimize die rolls and have other ways of dealing with barbarian invaders).
Is your personal top 10 in any particular order? Do you find it easy to say "this game is better than that game" subjectively or do you go back and forth on which games up another? If ranked ordered, do you think this changes based on your mood? How about when thinking about your play session - for example, a short 30 minute session you squeeze in when your schedule is busy, the gaming with many strangers at a game night over 2.5 hours, playing with extended family, or playing on a weekend off with your Significant Other? (Okay, I'll admit it - I can't do it and the thought patterns seem so alien to me, so I ask to see if I can understand the psychology going on that allows people to rank order what they like in life.)

That is a good point about dice in Defenders. I found it very hard to put these games in order. I narrowed it down to about my top 16 and then played with the list for a couple of weeks. When it came down to making some tough decisions, I just compared game to game and said which one do I want to play more, given the ideal situation (players, time, etc.)

Thanks for the reply. That's a good way to think about ranking them - make them "equivalent" by using them in ideal circumstances. If you do a list like this again, I'd love to hear what the ideals are for the games - it might help put the list into perspective. Also maybe something to think about when you do discuss other games (I know you are more of a rules guide than a reviewer, but these are the little details that help me when evaluating a game).

I've always thought Dixit was just a game for children. Seems I was wrong.
