    I had the same problem even with the c weight my fix was I back off the buffer tube one full rotation to let the srs assembly ride back just a tad more and I get bolt hold on last round now with full power loads 50/50 with lighter loads

    Hows things, i just watched your video about shifter cables on a ford focus, im not sure is it a cable problem or is it the top of the gearbox, it was stuck in top an i cant move the gear handle from left to right,an no 2nd,4th or reverse to be got. What would you think the problem is??

      I have a video about the shift tower. It might be the roll pin in the shift tower that fell out.

    Did you end up clipping off the long spring? if so how much? I just put an H on a .300 and had cycle issues. The lighter weight isn't expensive, but I feel like the spring might still be too strong.

    • @FocusedHands
      @FocusedHands  Před 6 měsíci

      I did but it did not help with the bolt catch. The issue is not the spring... but the srs/bolt extender/law tactical combo. Im currently working on a solution

      @@FocusedHands Thanks for the quick reply. I'm just running a mil-spec receiver extension. I seemed to keep getting double feeds, which doesn't make sense to me. I'm running a blow back system, so maybe a lighter weight will allow more compression of the spring for my system.

    • @FocusedHands
      @FocusedHands  Před 6 měsíci

      Yea try running the C (carbine) weight before you clip any of the spring. What mag you running?

    • @FocusedHands
      @FocusedHands  Před 6 měsíci

      All my mags are magpul gen 3. No issues with double feeds. If you have a magpul gen 3 test that also/ if you have any other brand.

    • @embryoisme
      @embryoisme Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@FocusedHands The mag I'm using has been used previously and had no issues with a normal spring and buffer weight. Only when I went to the SRS system did the feed issue occur. Got the C weight on order.

  • @David-fu5qb

    How did you know to switch to the lighter weight to C vs. H? Also, what type of AR15 are you running where the bolt catch wasn’t functioning after the last round?

    • @FocusedHands
      @FocusedHands  Před 7 měsíci +2

      The ejected shell casings give you an idea of which buffer you should use. Some buffers cause the shell casings to eject at 10 o clock some at 1 etc etc. This will depend on whether you are running suppressed or not aswell. All those variables come into play here. As far as the gun... i tried it on my goblin (5.7) my 300blk and my ks 47. All would not last round bolt hold open (with the law tactical folder and aftermarket bolt extender. If you run the srs without the law tactical folder... it works fine. I believe i have the solution to this issue... but i need to get the jprifles short bolt extender in for the confirmed test!

    U didn't show how to disassemble the weight unfortunately cuz I bought a spring that came with the h3 installed on it. Gen 4. It was already put together. I'm trying to disassemble it to put the carbine weight on instead. Urs was already disassembled

      @@FocusedHands Its all good brother, I finally just went for it today and used a vise in order to remove the steel oring from the buffer carrier, in order to change weights. U have to put it on the edge of the vise and at an angle, to get to it. I must have one of the first batch of gen 4 recoil kits. Everyone elses I see online does not have this ring. it wraps around the carrier exactly like a gas ring on the bolt does, falls into a channel and in place. Its easy once u get all the tension depressed to get to it that was the difficult part I was having

      @FocusedHands  Před 13 dny

      @unleasheth glad you got it worked out! Let me know if you notice any difference in the SRS gen 4 vs. the regular buffer spring.

    • @FocusedHands
      @FocusedHands  Před 5 měsíci +1

      You would need to fire it and see the shell ejection angle is. If it is not where you want it... you will need to change buffer weights. Since im left handed / lefthanded ejection ports and dont like my shells coming back towards my face... i have my shells ejecting at 6oclock. Some people like 12 or 2. Really depends on you.. is the short answer

      @@FocusedHandsI thought the goal was to spit out at 3 o'clock 🤷‍♂️ I put an Armaspec SRS (H) in my 18" 223 wylde (non adjustable gas block) and its spitting at 2... I figured that was a touch over-gassed but I'm still learning... is it OK to have them spitting out at 2? On a regular right handed rifle.
