Cool modification you can cut a flat wire spring and add it to the unit to increase the spring pressure while keeping the carbine weight on the unit, this can almost mimic a constant recoil system making for a very smooth shooting experience.
Is it necessary to have a spacer for these in a regular carbine buffer?

I need to know what weight works best for a mid length gas system on a 16 inch barrel!!! I know a lot of people get the three-point whatever but I’m more interested in recoil not sound so upping my weight .7 ounces isn’t really going to much is the 4.7 better for a mid length system
Late to the party, but what would you recommend, weight wise for a 16" 5.56 and what would you recommend for a 10" 300BLK subs and supers. Both are run suppressed and unsuppressed.
I wish you would've shown the face of the SRS after the H weight was installed, because I don't believe the C (in ARMASPEC) "has" to face the front. Unless the engraving on my H weight was engraved backwards, if I install per your directions, the SRS will float in the buffer tube (about 1/4" space) and the front tip of the guide pin/washer will be protruding past the face of the H weight - which would cause the upper not be able to close because the front guide pin would be hitting the rear of the BCG. If I flip the weight around, with the C facing the rear, all of those issues are gone. So anyone purchasing this, don't bother with which way the lettering faces. Just make sure the front tip of the guide pin/washer is recessed into whichever weight you decide to use.
@@armaspecusa Before I request a replacement weight, can you provide me with a picture of the front and back of the H weight, installed into the SRS. If it's just a laser engraving issue and nothing else, then I'm fine with keeping mine.
Would these be a one for one replacement for your standard buffer? I have an H3 buffer in my 300BLK that works well. Would I replace that with the same weight in one of these units?
Nice. I am a JP capture fan. ( Did not really like the early generation Armapecs) This is looking closer to form of the JP system and considerably less money.
Can you please send me the link for the full set for an ar15 i would like to make my weapon fire more smoothly with less recoil. You said there is a way to get all the weights in 1 package but dont see it anywhere on your website. As for which link whatever is the newest model with all the weights woupd be perfect.
lot of people miss BCG bounce with this product. you can’t know unless it is captured on slow motion video. I never knew until 200 rounds. and sounded little off. so I recorded on 500fps camera and it had average 1/2” to 1/4” bolt bounce every shot. it was gassed just enough to cycle with AGB. increased gas did not help. I tested with all of their weights, still same. it reduces felt recoil significantly for sure but will never keep in my system that cause premature wear. seems like first stage spring is way too light. and I have to increase gas pressure two click to cycle which was not a problem but BCG bounce was something I can’t ignore. so I gave it away to gun shop and they said the same thing. how about make the weight able to sling so it counter acts to delete the bounce or make it 3 stage.
Just purchased this for an AR 15 build, looking forward to it. I'm curious if your o-ring had issues after several thousand rounds like the JP captured buffers? Yours looks way more solid and much easier to maintain, in glad I went with the Armaspec
It is not required for function. But as in any product that has metal to metal contact, it would be beneficial to lube frictions areas with your favorite brand of reputable gun lube.
You can run it either way. The older versions had o-rings in the buffer face, and they could get chewed up by the pin, but it still works. If you remove the pin, its fine, but when you open the receivers, the whole assembly can/will slide around, and will be stopped by the hammer. Kind of annoying when cleaning, or working on it, but its no big deal.
I could never figure out how it was supposed to work in a 9mm. The back of the bolt has no hole for the center rod to go in. If I removed the weight from the back of the bolt to expose the hole it had no pressure to close the bolt.
I bought and installed this today, I cannot use the H2 weight as it will not sit in deep enough. I have to press it in to close. It will shoot but will not hold open when empty and yes my upper holds open.
hey guys, im about to buy Daniel Defense DD4 RIIIS 11,5" so what weight will b ok, oh and possibly run it supressed, not sure if subsonic but supressed, thank you
@@armaspecusa Since I think the person might be talking about an AR10, shouldnt it be H2 since most people/ companies run H3 from factory on most AR10s?
What mag are you using is my first check? then if it's still doing it lube and try again. if it's still doing it, Jump up in weight. Start with the easy stuff then work the problem from there.
I just ordered one the other day...but can't get anyone to contact me back regarding the order its been over a week and nothing. Their customer service is subpar to say the least...
@@armaspecusa yeah, y'all are ordering new weights, so maybe next week or something. You all sent me an email tell'n me what was going on, so that I appreciate. Just vent'n, pay me no mind...
I put mine in my 450 bushmaster and won't cycle, nothing came with it for instructions or troubleshooting, soooo it's just so much junk so far and of course no phone number
Can you provide more details on the issue. Dose it fire and not feed, Does it not eject the spent casing? What are you experiencing? More info will help.
These are put together so janky now lol. What was wrong with the previous models that used screws on each end? So much more professional looking, like a well engineered product...not surprising though from a company that has eradicated all traces of it's customer service phone number from existence lol.

Bought one awhile ago from you guys and man I’ll tell you that it has my AR running flawless 👍🏾
I bought a cmmg 10.5 sbr, that being said what would you recommend

How exactly are you securely installing the flat wire? I get that it’ll be surrounding the rear spring of the system, but could you elaborate?
Yeah what specific spring did you use? And where did you at it
Pls elaborate this doesn't make any sense

Great job in explaining and how to change the weights. You should create a QR code with the instructions.
Thanks for the positive response. We will look into that, thanks!

Kind of reminds me of the Mesa Tactical hydraulic buffer...but cheaper that said is it really needed....cool idea though.

There is pictures on the website of the weights. As long as the Rod and Washer is recessed into the weight body you will be fine.

Are the springs made of chrome silicon? What type of aluminum was used?

so on our gen 3 and earlier models the O-ring would last a very long time. But in the later model we didn't see it was necessary to keep.
Do you oil/grease any portion of the SRS system, if so, where to apply this lubricant Rod/Springs and what product do you recommend using?
It is not required for function. But as in any product that has metal to metal contact, it would be beneficial to lube frictions areas with your favorite brand of reputable gun lube.
I bought the SMB Gen 3. Just want to make sure it’s OK to keep the Buffer Retaining Pin on, or do you recommend to remove it?
I'd like to know the same thing before I make a purchase

If you took the weight out of the carrier, it "should" have worked fine. Carriers can vary though, so something may not have fit right?
remove the weight in the rear of the BCG. It should run fine.

H1 in the SRS. H2 in the SMB
I just want to know how to get the 9mm version to allow the bolt to go all the way back into battery to allow the bolt catch to work.
what upper do you have? does your lower have last round hold open capabilities?
I have the same problem trying to use the H2 it will not go all the way in, it will shoot but not hold open when empty
What would be the ideal setting for a 20 inch barrel with rifle gas system?
carbine or H weight.

i have a 16" ruger ar556 and i bought the SRS Big Bore is this the right one to use?
No the big bore is for large caliber AR's
My bolt carrier dose not seat fully after a round of 223 is sent down range. How can I fix it? It is the h 3.8. Heavier weight?

What would y'all recommend for a caliber like .300 HAM'R???
Most likely our "BIG BORE"
Can I use the srs in my 10.5 sbr or would it be that the gas might be a problem
yes you can use it in a SBR.
Do you have an A5 buffer tube version?
we sell the spacer for the A5 length.
What weight SRS should i buy running a 18 inch supressed ar15?
Sure wish we could get answer to these questions
I would start with the carbine or H
How do we know which we should get?
with the SRS we recommend going down in weight to what you currently run
I bought a CMMG 10.5 .556 sbr what would you recommend and why?
Id go with the heavy buffer to start!
carbine or H depending on if suppressed or not.
What about a rifle length set up?
Use the C "carbine" weight
Are different springs available for this system? Like reduced power for example.
Yes there's a kit version available too
We only offer different weights, not springs.
@@armaspecusathere you go something to consider.
Did a while video on this!
Will it work with a 9mm ar?
they have one specifically for 9mm
The music in the bg ruins the video for me I’m trying to hear ya but the music is distracting me

Which weight for 16" mid length gas 556?
SMB c or SRS for suppressed gun.
@armaspecusa SRS which weight for un-suppressed ?
I would go with "C" but I would recommend the SMB C if you are not suppressed.
Mine bottoms out to be able to hold open after the last round? Is that normal?
You should be able to manually lock the BCG to the rear with our system. If you can, you shouldn't run into any issues when shooting.

This is better than the screws we had previously. Less things to go wrong and the screws after a thousands of rounds could get loose.
