- čas přidán 9. 03. 2021
- A two-part documentary about Daði & Gagnamagnið, introducing viewers to the band’s story since first taking part in the Icelandic national competition for Eurovision in 2017.
- Zábava
"I am not a musician, I'm not a dancer. If I'm being perfectly honest, I have very little rhythm"
I look at Stefán and feel represented
His quote about how Gagnamagnið was never meant to be a long term thing and how he just felt privileged to help launch Dadi's career - what a king
PRESENT!
He said in an interview recently how it was basically a joke that went too far hahah. Well it was a good joke tho
he's a high school teacher who did the duck face in front of a 200 million audience
his students saw him do that... he's a full blown legend
@@mina0653 hahaha makes sense! He has that teacher look lol. Just to show everyone how small iceland is, he was my sister's teacher for one semester
i truly believe they would have won in 2020 if Eurovision hadn't been canceled
I think they would’ve been very close, but I still think Little Big could have won!
I've created 'DAÐI FREYR long playlist' on CZcams; it's more than 100 items.
Having a happy family is a win bigger than Eurovision
Dadi can both!
Eurovision is everything :o
@@MrDavidpers play ja ja ding dong!
So, you are telling me that Dadi is a genuinely nice dude with friends who enjoyed supporting him, a wife with enough patience for his passion for music (although he can be veeery focused on it) with a talent that I do like and respect?
I like this guy :)
You thought he was friendless ??.🥺
@@aggievlogs4605 pardon me? I already liked this guy, but looking at the video i like him even more 😁
@@wieslawirzyniec4527 same, I prob misunderstood u, sry
@@aggievlogs4605 ah, no worries. I mean this movie shows him as a genuinely nice person who invinted his friends to do something nice with him. And i honestly love his talent (even when i am a metalhead). I mean he has such good voice and amazing control over it. Wow.
Ps. Also his wife is nice and supprtive 😁
@@wieslawirzyniec4527 yes Ik. All of them are lovely (especially dadi and arny)
After watching this, I’m gutted he didn’t win. What a nice guy to bring his loved ones on the stage just for the sake. He seems inspirational.
It breaks my heart that they didnt get to perform Think About Things at Eurovision. It would have been absolutely amazing.
It woulda WON!!
Good job they're representing Iceland this year then, isn't it? But with a different song, of course :-)
@@neilonaniet yea...heard the song, no chance!!!
@@boybawang1981 Well, they're currently sixth favourite with all the bookies ... that's close enough to spring a surprise.
@@neilonaniet yea...but last years song was waaaay better!! Hopefully they can place high, but I’m not really feeling the song!!
now it is just more heartbreaking to see that they could not perform on Eurovision for 2 years in a row now, so sad to see that i hope they will get another shot some time.
This is the most wholesome band origin story I've ever heard
Stefan talking about how Gagnamagnið was never meant to be a thing, and how it was a privilege just to launch his friend's music career
And the quote about not being a musician or a dancer etc
Absolute King.
i’m literally obsessed with them wow
You need to put this on the Eurovision channel. If Germany did you, you should too
34 minutes is just too long
@@FannomacritaireSuomi also Jendrik's documentary is 30 minutes more or less. Check it out in the official channel
agreed haha
What a wholesome documentary, my cheeks are hurting from smiling through the majority of it
Lots of love from Denmark❤️🇩🇰
Look at what's going on in the world, especially in America. Lies and deceit all over the place, it's depressing. Then I see these honest, humble people and their country and think to myself: *"What a Wonderful World!".* We need more of this.
"Think about things" was my happy place to go in 2020, when sad things were happening in my family. I will always love that song about fatherly love.
Árný and Daði in their house, with their daugther, couple goals ánd parent goals!
Im 39 years. I don't know anything about iceland. But i discover this guy's music three days ago. One of the best musical discover for me about the last 10 years. And that make me discover this beautiful country. Thats seems to be a very beautiful one. Eurovision had good side sometimes.... 25 may 2021 00h24 near Rochefort france

I've got to say dadi and gagnamagnid may not be esc winners 2021 but they were definitely my esc no 1 vote and the winners of my heart. This was just brilliant!
Love from Germany
Beautiful souls, they warmed my heart so much. I really enjoyed watching this, and their songs were my favorite in Eurovision, both in 2020 and 2021. I also love Dadi's new ep. I'm looking forward to new releases, and I hope you guys will always be happy and close
so beautifull iceland eurovision documentary 2021 iceland the best
Omg, so cute little Dadi🥺🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️ with love from Russia ❤️🇷🇺
the love they have is so heartwarming
i love icelandic, but it's so weird listening to it!!!!!! i'm swedish and it feels like I should understand, it sounds kind of like norwegian and my brain can't compute why i hear certain words and understand them and then don't understand the other 95% lol. would love to learn more icelandic one day
I know!! It's weird.
0:57 Him with his babysister at the piano 💖😍💖😍💖
Broke my heart
Yay! English subtitles!
Не знаю английского, тем более исландского, но было очень интересно посмотреть, удивительные люди, удивительный язык)))
Kind, charismatic, talented, funny. Eurovision family loves them!
nobody deserves the eurovision title more than them
Such a joy to get to know them and their music. Congrats for the 4th (would have loved to watch you win, and the few moments you were first in ranking were amazing). And good luck with the EP and the tour Daði, you're the best and deserve the best.
12points from Cameroon 🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲I love Iceland
Thank you so much for this amazing documentary and also for adding subtitles. It made me really happy.
My son is obsessed over Thinking about things and 10 years. He is 3 month older then their little girl (January 2019). He actually recognized 10 years that was played in a clothing store and he said: "put the video on" and the song was playing for a few seconds 😂 We are from Romania, by the way.
Wish you all the best and can't wait for new music. Love the sound, the chemistry, you are such lovely people! My favorites in 2021 Eurovision.
The competition was taught this year but keep on doing the great work!
Dadi is is tall he barely fits anything, ceilings counting. I love them all.
What creative and sympathetic folks!!💚
God i loved every second of this, can't wait to play the game!
His first game is already on the app store the name is Neon Planets😁

Such a lovely documentary! I wish all the best for them, greetings from Sweden
I literally backed up and took screenshots of their adorable reaction to winning Eurovision! What wonderful people these people are?! I love his voice, and am so happy he did not have another sing his song. -Love From Colorado
I love how 1/3 of the way through I finally discover every other member of the band is fake. That's amazing and I love this origin story.
Good Luck from Italy 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
You guys are beautiful and are everything that is right with the world, sending love to you all from the uk ❤️❤️❤️
Imagine them yet to release their song and still standing #1 in bookies for over a month now.
in 3rd now and still no song!
Hello from St.Petersburg. My granddaughter Aurora. I loved you even more;)
I wish you a lot of happiness!
As a Dutchy (and the Dutch guy won last time) I'm looking forward to the ESC this year. I'm rooting for you guys! The Dutch song is alright but if your song is as much of a Banger as Think About Things, I'm sure you will win.
Hugs from The Netherlands
Brilliant!!! Love your individuality, creativity and sound. Lovely family too. Wishing you wonderful success - you deserve it.
Stefan making us non-musica people feel included

så interessant! jeg er norsk, skjønner nesten alt de sier :) interessant dokumentar, noe av det mest originale jeg har vært borti på lenge av musikk og konsept. Håper det kommer flere konserter i Oslo < 3
Bro really made a video game about him and his friends fighting aliens
What a wonderful artist couple.
You have the right answers for our time.
🌈
By the way,
Jendrik, the german songartist (ESC 2021) loves you💐
I‘m so happy see you in Hamburg, this summer.👌😊🎈
After Germany, now Iceland. And this is actually more thorough than the German one. Great job!

18:12 God that's so sweet of him to say. I'd cry if a friend said something like that about me. Such a great group of people.
These should have won it good performance and the song was really catchy they were real fun to be honest they did well fair play to them
Iceland has be far the highest per capita ratio of Nobel Price winners, top-notch musicians, chess players, miss universes, and a few other things. I don't know what's going on there!
Wunderbare Doku
Lovely insite. My husband and I are OBSESSED.
All the best Búbbi!!!
These guys seem wholesome. Hope they have room in their public image for their lives hardships so they can stay as best as they can be
It's a great pleasure to know you and your group. I like your natural and, from France, I am following tour. All my kisses. Sophie
What? You are following tour? From when?
Вот это да!
I thought I heard somewhere that you wouldn’t compete again after 2020 and it really saddened me. Thankfully I must’ve gotten that wrong! I honestly never enjoyed electro music very much, but you guys are simply amazing!
I noticed that many of the live clips on this channel took place in Berlin and I just thought that was a happy coincidence, but to know you actually live there, it just fits you perfectly! Very excited for all of you, great documentary!
Love from Hamburg ♥️
What he meant not competing again is about the national final. He said that when he was asked if he would compete again if Iceland decides to have a Selection Show for 2021. The question came up because all other Nordic countries already announced that they'll have Selection Show for 2021 while Iceland, at that time, still hasn't confirmed anything yet. :)
