- First outing of 2023 had me swinging on fish in less than a foot of water. Using Surfline Grub Heads and light line. Watch me create relative content. Learn my technique, see my setups, apply at your local spot.
GEAR USED:
- 2-6# 8' Trout Stick
- 1000 Shimano Stradic CI4
- 5# Phenix Braid
- 6# topshot, 1-2'' leader (I bounce from 4-6# alot)
- 1/8oz Surfline Grubhead (sandcrab color)
- homemade plastic
(Before I had the idea of molding my own plastic crab and a GoPro lol. I used your standard grubs, minnows, mini swims, or stuff from bass pro with equal amount of success. I'll try and make a video showing just that but the know how is right there)
*sidenote: That 1/8oz Surfline Grubhead is built off a Owners #4. Allowing you to use standard trout/crappie plastic! That leadhead was specifically designed for the surfline. Whip it out past the wash 🤘
Great day in the surf!
Sure was! We still got the rest of the year too. Love this bite! Thanks for watching 👊
Those grubheads are sick 🔥 Awesome video
😍😍 Thank you!!
So amazing 😘
Thank you.
Great Video! I caught a corbina on that same beach a couple of weeks ago. Looking at those grudheads now.
Appreciate the kind words. Thank you very much. I'm just starting to get a grasp at this CZcams stuff. Having fun but holy moly this editing is tricky and uploading it is even harder but nothing good comes easy is the saying. I know where I messed up so hopefully my next vid will be clear and crisp. Those Grubheads are unique. Built specifically for what I'm doing out there. You can find them at TOPNOTCHLEADHEADS.COM
@@FishingWithStingrayDrew Leadheads on the pricey side, but finally gave into my addiction and bought some.
@@Photowrm worth every penny 👏
Can you post specs of the gear you are using.
Rod, Reel, Line and weight of jig please
Heeeeeey! Sure, no problem. Typically I do but it must have slipped my mind this time. Thank you for the inquiry. Just added it to the description 😉
Great job. What were you putting on your grub head?
Plastic that I trimmed down. I'll make a vid showing what I'm using but honestly any 2" plastic will work. It's about technique and putting it where it needs to be by timing your cast. That is what makes these Grubheads so special because they are not your typical. Check them out at TOPNOTCHLEADHEADS.COM
