In this action-packed 9 hour pier fishing tournament at Seal Beach Pier in Southern California, The Jerk Squad and the local fishing crews manage to put a whopping 15 different species of fish on the board. It's funny I use to fish with Marcelo Gabe and Jesse back in the day when they were half the size,we use to have fun on the hali fishing in seal

If you measure a shovelnose, is it be front to back length or by wingspan?
Honestly you can measure them however you want to. For my tournament I was doing all ray type fish with wing span. Just to keep it fair, because even small rays can have extremely long tails. It worked out for us.
