Thanks so much for playing Beethoven’s repeat of the first movement development. It puts into perspective the whole piece’s command of time and place.

It is interesting to note that the first more elaborate developments in Russian popular music are realized by Beethoven, in the first two.of three quartets for Rasoumovsky strings, composed around 1806. Only a composer with the grandeur, magnificence and versatility of Beethoven could compose from of music with such diverse characteristics, such as popular music, in addition to being part of the transition from the classical to romantic periods, so different from those musical structures. In fact, the quality of the music, its sensitivity are unique. It is these circumstances, in addition to others, that lead to considering Beethoven as one of the greatest musical geniuses that has ever existed until today. Viva Beethoven and his magnificent music. Thanks for this superb pleasure moments.
